GUMS at the Musical Theatre Intervarsities 2019 - 'The Lost and Found of Beanotown'

It’s the end of the world. Welcome to Camden.
“The Lost & Found of Beanotown” is about a group of savage
teenagers who will do anything to survive the apocalypse. These kids have based the structure of their small society on the British comic ‘The Beano’. They have formed their hierarchy based on the
characters within the comic. For example, 'Dennis the Menace'; is
the title awarded to their leader. The ‘Beano Kids’ are not the good
guys; they survive by terrorising other survivors and stealing and
generally mimicking the behaviour of the characters they idolise.
The story revolves around a young girl - the newest recruit. As the
story progresses, some of the kids begin to question their leaders
worth and tensions rise as the new girl presents some interesting
new ideas.
