I really hate when the ML abuses the FL in the beginning but the writer try to redeem him by claiming he was doing it all for her benefit and he never doubted her, but she disappeared before he could reveal his plan. He left her chained up in a room to give birth on her own and if he never doubted her then why would he believe she ran away with another man? Why wouldn't he look for her? If he always knew someone was framing her then when she disappeared shouldn't he be worried that person harmed her? If he really was protecting her by locking her up, then why did he chain her up and not at least have a doctor to help her give birth? It's a BS re-write to make the ML trying to reconcile with the FL acceptable. If his kids knew what he had done to them and their mother would they still want her to forgive him? As far as endings go, I am satisfied enough that the FL still insisted on a divorce even after their misunderstanding was cleared up and he told her his bogus explanation. I do wish she had chosen the SML, but in the end they were both chasing her and she didn't pick either. While I think she would pick the ML in the end, at least for her kids, I am happy that we at least didn't see them reconcile. IT's already enough kindness that she let the ML be a part of his kid's lives.
