Manchester is a clear example of a city that can't let go of its past. Too many shabby buildings, downtown is run-down and neglected, no greenery or parks whatsoever. Very depressing place. But thanks for doing the walk, it helps people who haven't been to the place get a glimpse of how life is in the city.

Nice find. 😎I barely noticed the traffic police as far as I remember. Police usually is relaxed in Europe. I remember I wanted to check out a church that was marked as a "hidden gem" and found that pathway and "Mulberry Pass". In this case I point the camera away from my walking direction to see some path between hoses... I more often look at my phone as that was my first time in Manchester

For England I'd still say Manchester ranks as the "2nd city". Birmingham felt smaller and for me more comfortable. I didn't see something like Manchester's financial / shopping district "Spinningsfield" in Birmingham. I surely missed several part in each place as I've spent one night in each place. An then Manchester also has a more famous football team... Interesting city but they have allowed too much cheap crap to be built in the city centre. You would think they would learn by the mistakes of the 1960’s and 70’s. Good to hear they have a tree planting scheme which is much needed.
