I have two electric GV70s both with factory matte paint. They're super easy to take care of, very easy to clean.

I never take my car to car wash. I wash it by hand. 🤚 😁
Cars have a personality……..they stay happy and reliable when you wash by hand 😃👍

Self serve car washes are a good option, you can use the high pressure spray and avoid the brushes. They're also quite reasonable, starting at $4 to $5 in my region.

I do think I prefer the look of matte paint, especially at night , it just looks more solid and impressive. I think if I got it on a car it would have to be a car that looks rugged so that if there are scratches it would look cool. Atleast thats what I would tell myself.

Hi Gabi & Char, Just a thought; as the poor quality live streaming is intermittent, could it be the technicians in the bay downloading software for cars that do not have OTA capability hitting the bandwidth?

Not really in a lot of ways because you have to baby the paint in order not to ruin it. It's definitely not for the average person it's for someone that is going to take the extra time on their car.
