Great video, what temperature do i need my solder to be? I cannot get anything to stick, specially the small board…

Do you have any mods for the 2500 or 2400 or 2650 watt supplies. It would be wonderful if you only wanted a 150 or 2oo Amp supply to be able to just buy this one supply and be done. Thanks a million.

Is there any way to handle a really short start-up current burst of my TRX? Can you somehow tell the power supply to ignore longer bursts?

I did the mod on this power unit, wanted to set it up for 13.5 to 14.5, used a 6.2k resister on the OVP like you said but you did not say what size resistor to put in for the voltage adjustment. I tried a 7.5k, but it would not power on so I tried the 6.2k, that did not work also. found that if I put any thing on the leg of the voltage adjuster like you showed it would not power up.

I have a HSTNS-PL18 but it is a different board. I modified it and it can hit 14V tops. Would you know the OVP mod? There is no OVP board like the one in this video.

    Hello,
Can I ask question: The HSTNS-PD18, how to decrease voltage to 10.5 Voltage?
    Thank you.

Great little vid buddy.. I,m about to hack mine which is more or less identical.. hp 750w 'pl 18. What size resistors do you reckon for it to sit at 13.8v.?
Cheers buddy.. Keep up the great work.👍👍

Thank you…. I have been receiving both the model HSTNS-PL18 and HSTNS-PD29 from Amazon as of late.
They are all brand new and only $38 per pair.
Question though.. for 13.8 vdc out, is there any particular resistor values recommended?
Also.. Where can I purchase good quality resistors from online?
    Thanks again!

@@hopperbuiltamps2135 awesome bud. I’ve got a few of those and I open one up and I found where to put the resistor for the variable voltage. I just couldn’t find a crowbar, but I also hadn’t had enough time to mess with them. but it’s pretty easy to find a variable voltage pot

Supposedly, according to a few posts on EEVBlog forums, when bumping the output voltage of the HP hstns-pl18 PSU,
the DC output gets “dirty”. EMI/RFI issues occurring?
I just bought 2 of these power supplies to used to feed combo MPPT/ DC input Solar charge controller.
I’d rather feed the output straight to the 100ah batteries I’m hoping to charge.
Has anyone fed 14.x VDC straight to a LifePO4 12v 100ah battery to charge via an AC supply?
      Thanks for sharing this video!
