    Sir 40 yrs.nko halos sa manibela, mechanic din ako, i correct lang kita sa hand break kapag paahon, yan ay safest way kung may handbreak.
    baka hindi mo pa nararanasan kumakalas ang kambiyo o gear,.o lumusot bigla ang preno. nakukulangan ako sa experienced mo.ANYWAY , helpful naman sa nais matuto at lumawak pa kaalaman.
    Sa aking pag aaral ay hindi natatakot, bagkus safest way, kaya may handbreak,
    Ma 4 wheel o ma truck.
    Pang 4 , kapag malalaki at mabigat, bago ka umahon, mag low gear ka na.dahan dahan lang hanggang makarating sa lugar .drive observely din.not just theory.mas marami kang magiging viewer.
    Add ko lang,natuto ako sa jeep na walang handbrake.ang preno di bomba.sa mt.makiling.
    advantage ang may handbrake.lalo na sa baguio,kapag napatapat ka sa panahon na maraming turista, pudpod ang clutch mo or.sunog sa haba ng trafc pati preno kapag di mo alam ang pagbalance ng clutch at brake.
    Study the uses and importance of handbrake. Maraming gamit yan.(ascending,descending, or plain).good job bro.
    Iba rin ang AT sa MT.

    1. Handbrake in the inclined position.
    Hindi sa natatakot makaatras sa likuran, yun ay dahil matagal ng nakahinto sa paahon. May fatigue factor ka ng isasaalang alang. Kaya nga may handbrake para sa ganoong sitwasyon.
    2. Clutch Pedal + Gas Pedal with brake pedal without using handbreak.
    Pwede yan kung panandalian lang ang paghinto. Kung matagal kang nakahinto sa paahon at nakababad ka sa clutch o break pedal goodluck sa clutch lining mo o brake pads.
    3. Clutch pedal + brake pedal plus gas
    Ganon din yan sa no. 2, pwede yan kung di ka matagal nakahinto sa paahon. Pagkaganyan ginawa mo sa matagal kang nakahinto sa paahon at hindi ka naghandbrake ubos ang gasolina mo
    Ikaw naman, kulang ang sitwasyon mo sa paahon . Ipaliwanag mo kung ano sitwasyon nung sasakyan na nasa paahon.
    Try mo akyat sa Mt. Kalugong sa La Trinidad, Benguet.

    As an experience driver here in the UK for 23yrs. what i will do in the uphill start is to lift the clutch in half way up and press the accelerator or gas pedal 1000 to 1.5 rpm up to the point were the front of the car is lifting up a little bit. That is what we called biting point here in the UK not just the clutch up method. Then slowly disengaged or release the hand break. That is for if you are in a neutral or parking mode. But if you are stuck up in a traffic and waiting to move then it would be best to hold your foot brake then once you moved, quickly press the gas pedal lightly and lift the clutch slowly, that is for an experienced driver technique that are used to their cars and also using foot brakes is good for daytime traffic and not in night time were the brake lights at the back of your car flashes thru the car behind that would be quiet annoying for the driver so better used the handbrake. Lifting clutch alone and holding it for a few seconds is not advisable here because there are some brands of car that are easily to get stall so it is advisable for the learners to teach the proper way of technique that could be easier for them to learn and then in the process they will learn the latter technique when they got more experienced in driving as time passed.

      Pag sobra tirik apaka hirap tapos loaded yng dala mo. Kailangan mabilis footwork. Pag mahina ka naku stock ka sa tirik na paahon at loaded pa sasakyan.

      Pede naman kapag naka uphill ka, apakan mo ang brake pedal. Palagi. Pero pag aabante na. Apak ka ng clutch pedal ulit. Tapos sabay release ng clutch ng hanggang 1.5rpm. Sabay apak ng gasolinador.. Parang ganon sakin

    Sir ang 3rd technique po ay gamit LAHAT NG JEEPNEY drivers sa paahon, dahil wala po silang hand brake. Maliban sa sanay na, sarili nilang sasakyan kabisado na nila lalo na kung palagi naalagaan sa check-up. Minsan aksidente di maiiwasan dahil hiniram lng bigla ang sasakyan, yon pala ay di na maintain sa check-up, gya ng maluwag na ang clutch, nwalan ng preno, etc. Maliban sa training at kasanayan na, lagi nasa condition ang sasakyan lalo sa paakyat, lalo na kung basa ang kalsada sa tag-ulan. Salamat sa video footage, dagdag kaalaman sa mga student permit pa ang hawak. Graduate po ako ng A-1 Driving Institute 20yrs ago na at salamat naman walang disgrasya sa paahon sa Baguio at Tagaytay long drive sa taxi.

    If you are behind especially on the uphill, just maintain a distance just i case the vehicle in front of you had a hard time pick up speed. Even the automatic transmissions on the uphill you gonna feel a few inches of backing down, again maintaining on the uphill that gives someone a clearance to pick up a speed. If you keep doing this trick to avoid backing up your transmission won’t last longer, some situations that you may need this trick would be a big help. Maintain a distance behind regardless the size of the vehicle in front of you.

    Yung technique 1 ang pinaka effective at pinaka simple. Yung pangalawa at pangatlo kawawa lang ang clutch at mangangamoy yan. Meron din technique na binabalanse lang ang gas at clutch na hindi umaapak sa preno kaya lang mangangamoy ang clutch. May variation din yung pangatlong technique na usually ginagamit ng mga jeepney drivers sa Baguio. Habang nakaapak sa preno, kaya nilang apakan ang gas bahagya para hindi mamatayan ang makina. Iwasan lang yung matagal na nakatutok sa biting point para tumagal ang clutch. Yung mga veteran moves, madaling gawin yan kung medyo pudpud na ang clutch.

      Kawawa lang ang clutch mo sa number 2 at 3 method kung masyado matagal na nasa biting point yung clutch. Once na reach mo na biting point, hold lang ng saglit 1-3 secs then apply ng gas. Okay lang pang hill start yung with handbreak pero hindi applicable sa slow moving traffic yung saglitang stop and go. Masyado matagal in comparison sa number 2 and 3 method.

      Tried this a couple of times before, ang problema na nakita ko ay nakadepende lang na hindi ka umatras sa iyong clutch biting point, isa rin itong gauge para malaman mo ang lakas at kondisyon ng clutch ng iyong sasakyan. Kung nagagawa mo ito ng walang problema sa paahon ay mabuti, pero kapag tumaas pa ang angle ng incline ng kalsada at ginawa mo ito, mas magiging malakas ang panginginig ng iyong sasakyan sa oras na bitawan mo ang brake, to the point ilang centimeter nalang na angat ng clutch mamatayan kana.

      During my driving school lessons i learned in uphill drive or hanging in the absence of RPM dial my indtructor was a good one he showed me how to balance the gas pedal and clutch pedal by stepping gradually that the car is stationary

    Kapag masyadong mataas ang slope ng kalsada at medyo loaded ka mas ok gamitin yun 1st technique. And kung hindi naman ganun kaslope and magaan lang yun laman ng sasakyan ok gamitin yun 2nd technique. Based on experience lang po. Drivesafe always😊

      Just practice lang sa controlled at safe environment para iwas maka aksidente, yung ibang garahe naka high incline kaya maari mag practice ng akyat baba ng sasakyan, syempre kailangan may spotter kayo lagi sa likod para tumingin kung may dadaang sasakyan o tao.

    Salute. The 3rd technique is called "engine brake" o "hanging brake" na laging kong nagagamit non sa PUJ ko way back 1993 dyan sa McArthur bridge near Post Office papuntang Sta Cruz. Yong 1st technique (hand brake) ang itinuturo sa driving school by which not necessarily need panginigin but drive mode na, timplahin lang ang accelarator at clutch in such a way maramdaman mo ang "pag-angat" ng car, at pag "umangat" na, then just release the hand brake.

    Si Rule #2 & #3 naman ay ginagamit ng mga jeepney driver na kayang magkumpuni at magtagpi-tagpi ng mga clutch piyesa sa mga ka-tropa o kakilala. isa pa, yung mga malalakas ang makina (malaki keysa vios/almera). pero kung VIOS ang gamit mo (obviously yung gamit mo boss ay mukhang innova o expander, o montero...?) e mas maliit ang makina (ng vios) at kung paahon ka na full seating capacity ka ay tiyak mabigat yun i-ahon. gagamitan mo talaga ng handbrake para safe at walang amoy sunog.

    Good day to all, well Kung tutuusin sa level 2 at level 3, hindi na kailangan e engaged ang hand brake kasi to the point na may kagat na clutch, meaning low gear ka na, at ready to go forward. So nung huminto ka sa ahon break pedal lang ginamit mo, Kung mag engage ka ng hand break balik ka level 1 which is ere release MO sya Kung going forward kana. So level 2 and 3 ay Para sa walang hand break. Mali yun beginner ka lang Kaya gagamit ka ng handbreak like me Semi truck data ko 15 to 20 degree na uphill may karga ka na 20 tons bigla ka hinhinto. Kailangan ko gamitin maxi breaks ko to put the truck into halt for sure parang handbreak din Yun kaso lang sa truck, sa akin lang beginners o veteran Kung may hand break use it! To be safe, Kung walk Kang handbreak then do what he says, level 3.

    😄 This is misleading, I politely disagree. #2 and #3 are for veterans that only learned from experience. #1 is for technical drivers, break lining is cheaper and easier to replace than clutch lining.
    if you can combine #1 with either 2 or 3 depending on the driving condition then you are a Technical-Veteran Driver.

      mali pagka explain hindi ko nagustuhan paulit ulit. pwedi ka naman makatigil sa paakyat na hindi gagamit break nasa biting point lang hindi na yun aatras bigyan lang ng kauting gas steady na yan. buti pa itinuro nya kong anu ang gagawin kong sakaling mamatayan ng makina sa paakyat na daan

      Agree.
      May point naman na sa mga natatakot, teknik number 1. However, para sa mas safe piyesa ng sasakyan kahit veteran na ginagawa ang number 1, gaya ng sabi mo technical drivers.

    Yung 2nd ang ginagamit ko dahil mas safe kasi pag ang handbrake ang gagamitin mo pwedeng Di kakayanin ng hand brake ang bigat ng sasakyan at magiging dahilan ng pag atras neto, pag sa foot brake kasi mas makapit ang pag preno at kakayanin nya ang bigat ng sasakyan lalong lalo na pag pa akyat ang kalsada,

    Merong ika-apat na technique na pwede mong gamitin kapag wala kang handbrake at mahina na ang makina mo. Pagkatapos mong maachieve ang biting point habang nakatapak ka sa preno, igalaw mo ang kanang sakong papunta sa gas pedal habang ung iyong dulo ng kanang paa ay nakatapak pa rin sa preno ( dalawa ang tinatapakan ng iyong kanang paa, brake at gas pedal) kapag gusto mo ng umabante paahon ang iyong sasakyan idiin mo ang iyong sakong na nakatapat sa gas pedal habang awtomatikong unti-unting nagrerelease ang dulo ng iyong kanang paa sa brake pedal.

    Hindi po tlaga aatras ang sasakyan nyo dahil nka nkahinto ang sa sakyan nyo. di nman po actual ang mga ginagawa nyo mas maganda kung sa paahon tlaga kayo para mkikita ng manonood kung tama po ba tlaga ang mga ginagawa nyo.
