  • All the guys think it's my real hair, most of the ladies know better. lol. Hi everyone. Here's my crochet braid tutorial. I told you that I would do crochet braids approximately one month ago and I'm finally sharing the video.
    HAIR SPECS: bit.ly/2hAPyAw
    Freetress Equal Cuban Twist Braid Hair in the color 2 and 16 inches long. This is the bulk hair. Shake-N-Go also carries the weft version of the hair for those of you who might prefer a sew-in weave.
    They carry the hair in 12", 14", 16" and 24," they also carry the Weaving Cuban Twist Hair and deliver in 2 business days.
    I wore it on vacation (Sept 19-21) It was awesome because I didn't have to deal with styling my own hair. Talk about a relief. Although, I have no hair left out, this hair would do a fabulous job blending with super kinky (type 4b/4c) natural hair and the low luster matches mine perfectly.

    Heyyyy that's the hair i used, too! After brushing it out, i curled it with blue perm rods and hot water - amazing results, and EVERYONE thought it was my hair. Love it!

    Used this hair on a client recently. We were both shocked at how extremely rough it was. It's feels like a Brillo pad. However it's very beautiful. In this case you'll sacrifice a little comfort for a very authentic look.

    I always used to use this hair. I'm wearing a TWA and looking to find crochet style with this hair. My hair is so short because I switched to a different hair to which I was allergic and had to cut my hair off to release the tension and irritation. I love your video and plan to use this hair, but cut it way down into two or 3 pieces. Thanks for making this video.

    How do you wash the hair, keep it oiled and which is better, a paddle brush with plastic bristles, boar hair bristles or a wire brush? How long can you keep the hair in? Your hair looked natural and very pretty.

    • @PureEstrogen
      @PureEstrogen  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      June Clemons Thank you. I usually just rinse my hair when it's in crochet braids and I spray a leave-in conditioner underneath to keep it hydrated. Sometimes, I will get a squeeze bottle and part my crochet braiding hair according to the cornrows underneath then apply an oil or cream. I use a wire brush for brushing and I would recommend keeping it in no longer than six weeks, but I've seen people go longer.

    • @PureEstrogen
      @PureEstrogen  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      kimberry2010 The ends are really coarse. After I cut them off, it wasn't so bad. It didn't make me itch, but if you tend to have allergic reactions I'd wash then dip it in hot water especially if you plan on curling the hair anyway. :)

      I was sent the hair for free and It is coarse, but I prefer it because it matches my texture perfectly. Some people prefer softer hair, so it just depends I guess.

    Is this hair like Marley hair or kinky twist hair? I'm asking because I'm allergic to that hair but I've used freetress before but not this kind of hair but I would love to try it.

    • @cupcakery7
      @cupcakery7 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're probably just allergic to the chemical coating used to preserve the hair until use. I suggest rinsing with apple cider vinegar in a basin with warm water, rinse with warm water and them fill the basin again with water and any conditioner of your choice.

    • @PureEstrogen

      I think it should be easy to wash if you wash in a downward motion and avoid rubbing it in circles. Thanks for watching. :)
