Gushers is basically a US childhood initiation. At least one kid in grade school would have it every single lunch. Those are all new flavors though, didn't have those when I last had 'em!

A show called "Dirty Jobs" has an episode showing how they make the flavors on jelly bellies.
My husband and I went to where Jelly Belly’s factory and gift shop is in Northern California. It was so much fun. A free tour and they give you a free small package of jelly belly’s. 😁
I grew up super close to where Flamin Hot cheetos were invented!
Try popping the stale ones into the air fryer or the oven for a couple of minutes and see if that helps. They might go soft when hot and crunch up as they cool, like biscuits do.

Back in the early 2000s, Jelly Belly made a very early version of the Bertie Bott's Beans that were in the official packaging but more like the Bean Boozled they have now, where there was a good flavor and a bad flavor that looked the same. Chocolate pudding was paired with dog food. Soap was paired with coconut, and was absolutely disgusting! Rotten egg was buttered popcorn, as I recall. They were scary!

I probably wouldn't have an issue with the rotten egg one because one of my meds sometimes causes sulphur burps so I get that taste all the time. LOL
