Where I hunt in the Adirondacks we have the broken whips as well . Only place my brother and I ever seen it . And We hunt the hole northeast.

I hunt Vt. See it often when bucks of same stature are around. I’m a firm believer that this is a display of dominance when tending a doe with a satellite buck or bucks around. They do this to scare off the competition

Nice rifle do you use see-through mounts on your scope for that brush country

Thanks! Some of our rifles do have drop downs/see-through mounts. We usually carry them when tracking or on rainy/snowy days just in case. We prefer scopes, even in the thick woods.
