I wanted a money clip wallet that has the internal pocket openings facing out instead of facing in, and found one with such design by Cabin Leather Goods. I custom specified one and now that I have it in hand, I really like the design a lot. I think the Capone look great as well, but I haven't ordered one because I read that it's machine stitched. I'm kind of a hand stitching nerd so combined with my preference for outward facing internal pocket openings, it's hard for me to pull the trigger on one.
Excellent review. Truly outstanding. The huge seller for me is how you felt it is a “substantial” feel to the size and weight of it out of the box. And, you liked the clip enough to carry without cash. I’m going to get one. Thanks.
@@ChrispyThings I hear ya. I’ve had so many wallets I’ve literally given Shell wallets to buddies of mine, family, etc. I have a natural shell Mitchell clip, a J Michael pocket shell wallet, two shell card wallets by Benjamin Bott and three Monk Made Goods wallets. I am going to get this because of the size and weight. It looks like it will hold up like a tank. But one of the commentators here said, the clip literally came out, that it was not adhesive to keep it in there, and he returned it. Did you find it to be loose?
I know the Capone from walletopia but watching your review was a pleasure too. Although it's not my type since for me cash is an emergency thing and I prefer a wallet like the d'avella where you can "hide" the bills and using them when you really need, this wallet would be perfect for the European market where we still use a lot of bills. If they change one of the exterior pockets with a coin pocket this wallet could literally destroy the European market easily.

@chrispy things between this wallet and the trayvax contour which is your daily driver preference? I have a ton of wallets I’ve collected but I always seem to gravitate back to my contour as you said in some of your previous videos I was just wondering if the contour was still your favorite of all time in your rotation?
It will always be in y rotation but I like to change it up from time to time. The Capone has been in my pocket for a few months now. Except I bought a black reverse Shell Cordovan version and I love it.
Great review as always! This wallet looks really nice, and the fact that it’s horween leather and has that badass moneyclip means I need to check it out. Thanks! 👍
Great looking leather Chris! I'd have to switch things up and carry that in my back pocket though. I fear it would feel too bulky in the front pocket. But you can let us know after some use! Cheers my Friend! Zip~
The Dublin English Tan in this video is a real eye popper. If yinz can't afford their higher priced shell cordovan options, I highly recommend the Dublin English Tan or other Dublin veg-tan options. The Black Dublin is also my favorite black, non-shell leather
I have one in my Ashland Shell collection. I went for a natural shell cordovan western print ‘Capone’. Absolutely stunning wallet. I just wish it had a money clip of a design like the Mitchell Money Clip Wallet or the Farrah ‘The Wallet’ version, Those two are the best money clips you’ll ever get in any wallet, however the design of the Capone is brilliant. Great review Chrispy Things 👊🏻😃👍🏻 (edited to add, I just keep one card in each outer slot for speed. I don’t want them stretched out either)
STOP reviewing wallets - I'm going broke buying them!! Seriously, fantastic review and another one I'll end up adding to my collection. My daily drivers that I'm currently rotating through include the following - Open Seas Hubei 2.0, Correa Collective 3.0, Lost Dutchman Big Fin, Ridge Forged Carbon Fiber, and the Taurus Camp Base Wallet....all of which (with perhaps the exception of the base wallet) I found bought after watching your reviews. Keep it up.
Ridge wallets don't hold a candle to a Dublin veg-tan or shell cordovan leather. I know EVERYONE is different, but after buying some Dango wallets, I sold my Ridge wallets immediately. Im just not a fan of horizontal wallets in general, and I hated trying to find the right card with those. Try a Dango M1 Rail wallet that's all vertical, if you want to stick with a metal, aluminum lightweight wallet. But since building my Craft and Lore collection to 37 wallets, and then buying more than 50 shell cordovan wallets, i haven't touched a Dango or non-shell wallet since. All leather is beautiful to me, but if you want something truly unique and one-of-a-kind, grab a shell cordovan wallet. Specifically a marbled or reversed shell. They only get better with age (truly) and they take on your one of a kind patina that only YOUR life can give it. And EVERY marbled or reversed shell wallet is unique because they ALL differ. So no two are alike. Regular, solid color glossy shell cordovan is awesome in itself. But if you want to stay with a glossy proper side that WON'T patina very much unless you get a light color shell, while staying unique to you, get a Marbled shell wallet. If you want something that has a little bit more grip to it that WILL patina lovely, get a reversed shell wallet 😉😃 And if shell prices are just impractical for you, the Dublin English Tan or Black or the oil tanned Chromexcel Horween leathers are fantastic too 🙂
Ah very nice 30 dollar capacity and a plethora of card space for my Macy’s Dicks Bass Pro Old Navy Mobil gas card and Sportsman where house and in and out card and taco johns etc.
Just got one of these to replace my ridge. Thanks for the video helping me find my next wallet!

You won’t be disappointed. I still carry this from time to time. I just own so many wallets I change them a lot

My next wallet..absolutely love it!!
Same here!
Whoa thanks for the review!
PS you made us sell out. I am making a fresh batch of these now so we should have some good to ship tomorrow!
Oh wow. That’s a good problem to have! 👍🏻

@@BC08 Nice idea, thanks mate!
Which of the three would you prefer...Ashland,
Farrah, or Mitchel?
Actually I just released my review of the Atticus from Sin City Leather. You should take a look at that before making a decision
Hey, can you show me a comparison between an old leather wallet with a nice patina and a leather wallet that's gone bad?

That is a nice wallet, I like the money clip
Ashland makes excellent products
True
The Capone started my Ashland leather addiction. Great products
Crispy, I got to say that this wallet is absolutely sweet! I am very impressed with the quality and looks. Thanks for sharing this one!
Smell test????
Oops. Sometimes I forget to do a smell test. This wallet smells great btw 👍🏻

Definitely looks like a quality piece!!
Nice x2
Curious how thick this is with 6 cards and 10 bills? Looks like it could get a tad bulky for a front pocket carry...

I just ordered the Mitchell money clip. Thanks for the heads up 👍🏻
@@ChrispyThings - awesome 👍🏻 Can’t wait for the review. Thx. 🙂

Expensive
Hmm...nice wallet. But looking for something with RFID protection and a money clip...i still carry cash. 😀
RFID is pointless
Carry an RFID blocking card and you’ll never be limited in wallet choices.
This is making me want to switch from my Ridge Wallet.
