    Good morning Don
    that snow sure looks good. You’re going to have a nice trail. Once you get it groomed packing it down is key. These batteries sure are the way of the future. They are extremely light fast charging and high output. Stay safe, my friend. Have a great week merry Christmas.

    For those that don't understand the north woods environment, winter is the best time for overland travel. No mud, no bugs and no high temps. Truly the best time to gather cordwood. And have much enjoyment going for a ride through pretty scenery. Nice video.

    Hi Don! Hope you had a great Christmas with your family. We used to break our woods roads down with a skidoo in winter like you do cause we used a farm tractor and wench to haul firewood . Where the skidoo would ride up on the trail had to be wide enough for the tractor. Those are really good batteries. They last a long time.

      Thanks I did :) Hope you did as well ! Yes some times we a dump of snow then wind & you can't even see the trail then if you fall off your stuck :) Our snow most years get to deep to make new trails by the end of Feb that's why I try to get lots opened up early & just keep them open incase I need to cut in there :) Have an awesome day !

      @ we had an awesome Christmas other than I had to plow Christmas Eve til 5am Christmas morning and our son who still lives home had to plow both days but in daytime hours. It all worked out in the end. I can’t get into Christmas cheer, being on call sucks.

    Maybe someday Don if we all get rich, it be nice to have a snowmobile with reverse. I believe they would be kind of fun to have but like anything takes money.

    We finally got some cold and snow in Maine but now the next 4 days we are going to be in the 40's Fahrenheit with over 2 inches of rain. Oh well. Hopefully we will get some real winter soon.

      @littlegriffoffgridalberta6837  11 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

      Wow that sucks ! Hate that rain in the winter but our snow never leave us once we are in Nov, You always have to keep the ATV handy for when the big melts come, Last year was like no other up here we had mid Jan rain right after that big Polar Vortec left us, Went from -52c up to +5c & rain all in 10 days, Have a great evening"

    Quite the ride in that deep snow! We need a snowmobile with reverse. Lol. No way Loretta could pull a machine out like that! Don’t need any more back surgeries! Maybe just stick to the Can-Am's 😂

    Another thing that blows my mind is hunting when for same money 💰 you could buy 2 tons of rice beans coffee.....
    But respect to our ancestors. Absolute Dawgs. The women would put us to shame dropping babies and skinning mammoths with sharp rocks.

    • @littlegriffoffgridalberta6837
      @littlegriffoffgridalberta6837  11 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      I Not a big rice eater so I get hungry for high protein wild meat nothing better :) If you ever been on a moose hunt & shot your first moose, You would be back for more ! They don't make woman like they use too ! No offence to woman, I haven't met a woman in the last 50 years that could do what my Mother did homesteading in the 50's & raising 8 kids, But no mammoth please :) We were all spoiled with technology ! But because I see more & more taking the off grid journey maybe people will start enjoying life again :)

    Hey Don,
    Just my 2 cents, if it's in yor budget get a portable winch with an Honda engine, you would love it. I got my from Explorer industries in edmonton. Later on I saw one on sale at Princesauto.

    • @littlegriffoffgridalberta6837
      @littlegriffoffgridalberta6837  20 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Ya not really in my budget, But if I need to go drag out big trees I have a 12,000lb winch On my truck, just can't get my truck in on my trails lol :) But incase me getting stuck on stumps or skis get under a log I carry a 20f two inch ratchet strap everywhere I go :) Can never carry everything we need everyday is different :) Thanks for the comments"

      $1200 in 2018. Good for pulling trees , boats/ATVs, or pickup trucks.

    Good morning friend. Your packing it down to make it hard so it’d be like an ice road so you can pull your wood and whatever you need to pull in it makes its own hard surface so it beats itself right into the ground like almost like pavement and you’re making it wide enough that you won’t have any problems in the future that’s just my opinion, but I don’t know too much.❤

    Eskimos 1700s what R we talking about here? Mammoth Hunters. Africa 150000 years ago. ESKIMOS lived up there. Farther north no trees. Insane.

    Acid batteries can't keep up with the lithium batteries. So much lighter and smaller and less of them. It's definitely the way to go.

      It is amazing the difference, I got two days of could & had to switch back to the 7 but with 3 or 4 I think they would work great even when we only get 3 hrs of sun a day, They charge up pretty fast if it's sunny :) & yes not 90lbs each, Have a good evening"

    Hi Don. Hope you had a great Christmas Day. 🎄🎄👋👍🏻🪵🪓🔥
    A buddy of mine is into snowmobiles and I asked him about your Tundra.
    He said they are a great machine, light and able to pull a good load. He figured around 35 hp or so. He said some of the older type snowmobiles were only 15 hp.
    Any way, just interesting to me the specs on things. That’s my hobby, find out about stuff.
    That’s quite a battery. Should be a good one.
    Have a great day. Very white Christmas here, but the January thaw is coming back next week. 5C and 6C degrees and rain. 🤦🏻‍♂️
    Will have to wait and see what happens. 👋👋👍🏻👍🏻

      It was awesome Noel hope yours was awesome as well ! They are a good old skidoo for sure, Horse power interesting ! Mine I modified a bit by adding a more aggressive track so I don't spin as much :) I had to much horses & not enough traction so I fix it , That's why I blew the head bolt last year, She grabbed traction under high rpm with a big load lol :) I'm glad we don't get the big rains in winter here, The snow is here to stay lol, Take care stay warm
