I’m now past 40 custom Blythe dolls in my collection (purchased from professionals) and I love 99% of them. I’ve been hand sewing outfits for them, mostly in linen and vintage fabrics. So much fun.
Unmistakable Kenner click! She is Authentic, and such a beautiful face! Due to chemical reaction the plastic tends to separate from the scalp sometimes it melts together too! 🥰💖😍🩷
Thank you! Oh, so it melted to the scalp! That's so interesting. I'm still on the hunt for a repro body for her. Then she's going to get finally get a new life! I can't wait. 💞
Congratulations, she looks adorable! There are Blythe clone bodies, that are made in the likeness of the Takara dolls, the regular one should match her skintone well, and yes, the cheapest way to find her outfit is the Ashton-Drake reproduction.
@bookwoman7169 Great, thank you! I think for this girl, I'm going to try to stay close to the original unarticulated body. But great info to use for neo Blythes in my future!💖👍🌸
I’m so excited for you! This doll is from my era but I don’t remember her. Maybe because she was expensive? She’s so freaking cool with the changing eyes!! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you!! Or maybe because she was only made for one year? And she just wasn't the "look" that kids wanted at that time. I'll talk more about that in her restoration video. Thanks as always for your support! 🥰
I think the company that made the re-make dolls was Ashton Drake, iirc. As far as clothes, it might be easier to check Etsy or ebay for 2ndhand or hand-made clothes. Authentic Blythe clothes are pricey! As far as hair washing, I know you can detach the part the hair is attached to, to wash or replace. I'm sure somewhere on TH-cam, there's a tutorial on how to properly do it. I look forward to seeing her fully restored.
Thank you!! I'm afraid her scalp has been glued down... I'm going to see today if that's the case. Hope not! 🤞🙏 Yes, keeping my eye out for an Ashton Drake replica outfit! Thanks for great info! 💕🌸

That's fantastic! Do you sell the clothes? I just bought a dress for Blythe in vintage fabric! It's adorable. Thanks for watching and sharing! 💕
What a dream find. Shes authentic!

Sorry to hijack this comment, but if you prefer the articulated bodies, those are made by Azone. 👍@@MaggieToTheRescue
