I think the gameplay itself was great, but your audio mixing on this vod was a little low. Whenever an add came in, it nearly blew out my speaker with how loud it was, and I was basing the volume off how loud you were.
I hope you'll come back to this game, I know it's not like, the top-down city builders or zomboid and things that tend to do well on the channel? But I think there's a lot here to leverage for fun edited videos in the future.

I conquered the entire game on my second generation. It’s one of those games where once you figure out how the combat works you can just annihilate everything. The moves that scale are the best like the one that scales with the amount of tamed animals you have is godly

This is unironically a banger, im at 100 hours on it. its in a playable condition rn but its rough around the edges. They regularly update and add big systems
Glad the dev didn't gave up to improve the Translation, it is way worst last year but the gameplay is great. There is a lot of good games from Indie solo Chinese developers but they never reach outside of China and if they did they will just downvoted due to incomplete translations.

I love how in a Chinese game you can have an area called 'Clearwave Loch', and it's just that, a big old loch.
They recently updated the combat system and because i had broken my character before i now have an unkillable god that completed the story in one go. This game is amazing but difficult to recommend. If you are familiar at all with the cultivation genre its a must though.
Before they changed how jade works I used a bug to give my character over 20k base vigor and 300 damage for all attack types.
Now I just exclusively play as descendants of that one guy and create sects full of my Demi-god children.

the tricky thing with meridians is that you actually have to run the line thru the red blocks in order to fix the ailment. very counterintuitive, but you'll get it once you have enough chi to run meridian lines all over the board

This game scratches my itch for Kenshi-like games.
I'm so stoked that you played it!! I've put about 10-20 hours in and I'm loving the sandbox nature. I lost my first character to the master of another sect and started my 2nd character with a blood feud against him.
I was planning on seeking revenge but he decided to absolve the blood feud after offering me a reward for agreeing to absolve it. These systems are really interesting to explore!
This is genuinely the first time I’ve considered getting one of these games because the system it uses seems soooo addictive and fun
an ambiguous amphibian being rescued out of cage by his ambiguous mammalian familiar, thus allowing him to unleash ambiguous justice upon his other ambiguously traitorous mammalian mercenary.
I don't think I've ever seen a game where you create your own map/world. That's super cool! I know there's only soo many combos but, if you can switch them around later in the game...Then that would be even more combos/possibilities.
It seems the map placements may be permanent.
They are permanent but you can still make more customized worlds since mission rewards carry over between world slots. Once you complete most of the missions and main storyline you can just make another single plot world and place whatever plots you want around it.
There’s also modding to remove the requirement for slots to be adjacent or within a certain area.
you can play dark cloud 1 and 2 which has that as a main non combat mechanic

Mr ambiguous, I think you might like the game Amazing Cultivator Simulator. A goofy sort of RimWorld-like with crazy mechanics.
ACS is pretty nice, but trying to figure out all of the different systems requires 130 IQ or 100 hrs to learn. I envy people who know how to play like I do with Dwarf Fortress players.

I saw some sick-ass incredible games when i lived in china (that never gets translated or put on steam).
This one aint one of them. I dont know, i just dont feel it.

I got this right when it hit early access and figured out some strategies to basically become a god and just fight dragons. It's a beautiful mess of a game that I have high hopes for.
seems decently fun, 15$ aint too bad of a price either, but ill prolly wait till it's out of early access to buy it
Wu Bahuang was pronounced okay, but the bah is more like bah bah black sheep.
69 hours in the game (😏), so let me share my thoughts:
1) "Spikes" effect ruins this game. Completely destroys the gameplay. Once you get to a level when you have a lot of hp, and get a certain technique you start with a big stack of "spikes". It deals damage equal to ammount of "spikes" on you to anyone who hits you, taking 1 layer of "spikes" off every time. Worst of all it often kills anyone who tries to fight you and you can't spare them. They just hit you and they die. Since you get like 200 of it, it oneshots people so it would take at least 15 people to get to a point where they don't die on a first turn. The inner kung fu that gives you multiple stacks at the beiggining of the fight should change to +3 stacks every turn until you get your 200 in total, instead of getting all of it at once.
2) The fact that you can see all of the opponent's moves makes you OP. Maybe the stronger opponents can hide their moves or seeing their moves could only be achieved by using certain abilities or something.
3) Being able to use an unlimited ammount of moves per turn is too much. It should be capped to 5 per turn or something.
4) Animals are too aggressive. I'm tired of snake encounters. They just charge you despite being 100 times weaker. Wasting time on them is no fun. I wish they were running away or ignoring you once you get some kind of inner kung fu or an achievement. Or maybe some other people could get the aggro, it feels so weird when they completely ignore every other character and just go for you.
5) The game implies that you can only grow stronger by reincarnating, yet my first character is able to defeat even the "evil wizards" on the island across the sea no problem, and nobody is able to kill him. No challenge. Add that to seeing all their moves, using 10 techniques in one turn on an opponent who's supposed to be strong because he heals himself. I've singlehandedly destroyed an entire clan. And it was even BEFORE i got the "spikes". That's not OK.
6) "Taking heads" from your opponents makes other people hate you, but not if you drop their unconscious bodies of a cliff. It just kills them and nobody says anything to you. Robbing, stealing from them and destroying their property also doesn't cause them to hate you. You don't get punished ever.
7) When you're buying a house, you get all the furniture and the contents of the chests. Boght a house worth 500g, got 1500g from a chest inside. Bought a medical house worth 1500g, got 100000g worth of medicine. I even bought a huge castle, where prisoners are stored, and dismantled it for a huge ammount of materials. It respawned and i did it again. It's a "work in progress" game, so it's understandable though.
Other than that, it's a very cool game. I had a blast, but eventualy got bored for the reasons i've listed above. Mainly spikes. They're supposed to be a wall, that keeps you from being the strongest, yet you can easily obtain this power and ruin the game for yourself.

i have more or less played throu it a couple patches ago, i ended up creating a monster with 60k vigor (30k after the rework) that absolutly annahilates people with a skill that only gets stronger the more people hate you.
since then they reworked some mechanics but i'll wait for either the full release of the game or if i realy get an itch to replay it, before wiping my savefile and completly restarting.

I haven't laughed this hard from any video in a long long time. I hope they do a little bit better from the translation but there's almost a charm to having dialogue like that present.
I think I'll delete my 50 hour save and start a new one. Grinding the bloodline ain't fun after all.

IDK if you want the interaction or not but this Audio is REALLY low. Like I play any vid after this one and my speakers are blasting distorted audio. I this is aside that you are usually quiet cause thats you and your style.
Its good but i dont like the design of combat. I like micro managing my team.
Thank god AA got to this one, it's a fantastic game. Seth's review wasn't my introduction, I just love this wacky shit, but thank god OTHER people are putting this game on the radars of others.
I love Seth, I think he does good work and he does his work well, but holy fucking shit is his audience sometimes unironically the worst. They *still* don't get being an edgy greentext refugee is a *character* for Seth, and think it's still like, funny to be an absolute drone.
With any luck, KungFuDev will do alright in growing the game from here.

I think a lot of non-english devs could use AI in the translation of their dialogue and game texts.
I've been doing that a lot more recently.
Just do the first translation, then feed the text into an AI of your choice and ask it to rewrite it in fluent English or any other language.
I'd like to see a Game that mixes the Cultivation of this, the Skill System of Kenshi, the Army and Nation Building of Mount and Blade, and the RPG Elements.
