It’s a shame they don’t sell TSC Rex anymore (& the TSC line in general), it seems like such a fun toy & I love the phrases.
Yeah these days he is very rare and expensive
Thinkaway Toys shutdown around 2022. The guy who owned it retired and no one in the family wanted to take over the business.

isnt it ironic that all the cloud pateron and white back round had a thing where you cn talk to them and they will respond back im glad that in wake 3 and 4 they stoped that for some of them especialy bo peep ,dolly,duke,and butter cup

In 2010 I started getting all the Toy Story Collection characters Woody, Buzz, Jessie, Bullseye, Army Soldiers and Lotso at Disney Stores and Toys R Us and luckily I found a Toy Story Collection Mr. Potato Head at K-Mart and then Toy Story Collection RC but I couldn't find a Toy Story Collection Rex anywheres in Miami Florida. Its messed up Rex didn't last long I'm still trying to get one from eBay.
Yeah it’s unfortunate they did not make enough for people to collect before he disappeared from the stores!

I really love Wallace Shawn! Whenever I watch Young Sheldon and he is on screen it feels weird that his voice comes out of a human and not a toy dino 😂

It was discontinued in 2011 so the demand has gone crazy with time as it is the most movie accurate and best Rex we have ever gotten so far. Doesn’t help that the thinkway toys is out of business now too.

This might be a big ask, but could you maybe do a shorts video showing how to properly remove and attach his tail? Maybe it’s cause it’s old or something, but whenever I attach or detach my Rex’s tail, I’m petrified I’m going to break the nub that holds it in
I can’t do personalized requests like that.. but if you have access to the instruction manual you can see you just have to push in and twist gently to the left and then pull gently.. if you need more help direct message me on instagram I might be able to find time to send you a video of what I mean.

Yes it did but it was very brief and disappeared in 2011 once it hit yellow logo
I bought mine on eBay after making a mistake with a smaller one and it arrived today I love this figure but it doesn't have sound nor does it move, it still works for display since it was in very good condition I got it for 280 bucks do you think it was a good deal?
The harness on woody wasn’t on correctly so he didn’t fly just buzz on if the version woody and him do fly

I just got this in eBay for about $30! He doesn’t talk so he must be broken, and it hasn’t come yet. But forget the voice at least he wasn’t $500!

I bought Rex from the Disney store back in the year 2009, back then he only cost $60. They stopped making him in 2011 after a brief appearance in the signature collection yellow logo.

They should call it Andy and it should be about when he was born up until the age his Dad passes and he gets Woody for the first time. Like an origin story for Andy.

Sorry you can’t, stores don’t sell collection or signature collection anymore. They seem to only be in stores for the movie promotion then after a while they stop selling them. The best times to buy toy story toys was in 2009-2011, Rex was discontinued 10 years ago and we never saw him in a store again since, now he goes on eBay for $700-800 it’s crazy. The best alternative if you can’t afford that would be a Disney store Rex, he is cheaper and available. I did a toy battle video between them here: th-cam.com/video/donqijXjiso/w-d-xo.html

Trixie And The pterodactyl from Toy Story 1 one of Sid’s Mutual Toys are from a TV show that Andy Molly Sid And Bonnie love I called it Barbaric Park it’s almost like Jurassic Park but it’s a puppet show much like the old Dinosaurs show like the Jim Henson Show that I think was hilarious Rex goes by Rex Dinoco a tribute to The Dinoco Gas Station
I have a second hand Collection Rex that l bought without the box, can you tell by the serial numbers if hes a Cloud logo or White Logo or Signature? his mouth is a closed and serial number inside says N 71600.
Hi TodayIGrewUP, if I was to find a collection rex with a few slight marks of red pen it looks like, what would you suggest to clean it off?
You could try half vinegar and half water solution with a q-tip to clean the area but it’s not a guarantee it’s gonna work.
If you didn’t have this, what is the most you would be willing to pay for this?
I think anything more than $800 is crazy..

It sucks so hard that Rex is so expensive til this day. This Rex is the best Rex you can get to be most movie accurate looking and yet you pay almost a thousand dollars for him. And for what? Why can't toy companies make a movie accurate Rex that looks exactly like Rex but without the talking. There's no way that would be so expensive. In reality, a toy like Rex would be around 15/20 dollars maybe but they make it a talkactive toy and way too expensive. Especially if you live in Europe... Europe don't sell these toys, so if you want a Rex like this one you need to pay lots of shipping too if you find one on Ebay. I wish there was a way to collect all the toys on a cheaper way.... :( They should 3D print Rex too like someone did with Trixy.
Yeah that’s true. For me I love thinkway toys Rex he is expensive because they stopped making him 10 years ago and the movies are still popular and people want them and there is not enough toys to meet the demand. He is movie size and has the voice from the voice actor in the movie which makes it more special. The Disney store version us a good alternative if you want Rex but for a cheaper price still movie size.
Any news on the new Mattel toy story figures releasing in the US

The only difference I know of is his mouth is more closed on cloud pattern and it gets more open looking in later waves.

Yes white logo and yellow signature collection one but by the year 2011 they stopped selling Rex completely and they never sold Rex in stores again.

Well I think I was born at the right time because in 2009 I was old enough to drive and pay for stuff on my own.
It looks like you've got this from Canada cause it has the french titles.
I’m from California USA and that’s where I found it inside a mall at the Disney store many years ago.

you would be surprised how distribution makes its way on the shelves. Disney pushed a lot of product into stores and when they were short or couldn't meet some demands they just started shipping all over the place. This Rex is an English speaking version because that is the only language that he speaks even if the box is different with other languages. This is not the first time I have seen this many of my collection boxes that I did buy in the USA varied very much so.
