    Love the look and sound. I play Ludwig and I love those lugs. They give me that Ludwig vibe. Would like to hear them tuned a little lower.

    Thanks my friends for all your videos!!
    I wanted guys to ask you something, because of course you know much more than me and I would be grateful if you could help me. I came from some Zildjian A custom fast crashes cymbals (16'&18') because they had a bright sound without being super bright and they were because they have a fast response and the sound decays super fast too, it doesn't resonate or vibrate as much, which I like. I liked it, however, the explosion when I touched them was not as strong as I would have liked and I'm looking for it now... maybe I should have just bought bigger ones, like 17&19,18&20 or 19&20, I don't know... That said, I wanted to ask you for your recommendation about which ones to buy, I wanted to upgrade my set, sell the A custom that I have now and maybe upgrade to some Zildjian K's as well... which K's model would you recommend me friends? And what size both so that they complement each other well, if you could help me regardless of the cost they have as long as they are Zildjian.. I want explosion,bright but not too much,quick response and decay..
    A lot of people recommended me to buy K’s custom but inside them there is a lot of different types(K custom,K custom Dark, K custom hybrid,K custom fast,etc) and it’s difficult to know which one is better for what I’m looking for..
    In fact, I tried the K Custom Fast Crash and they are TOO brilliant compared with my latest A Custom Fast Crashes, but of course I’m still looking for my upgrade because this ones are thinner than the K’s, I started to gig and practice more fluently and sooner or later they will break, but the K’s are fantastic in terms of duration, help me please! I’m really torn, which type and which size for both 🙏 thank you so much friends from Fort Lauderdale,FL

      @@KillerDrumsTV thank you Tony, I will be waiting for it man, we do everything to improve everyday and it’s amazing to have recommendations for persons like you guys!! As a complementary thing, I play alternative rock, and funk/ska music. I love how Chad smith sounds for example, and I want to take that Paistes he uses to ones Zildjian Cymbals for example, that power,that brilliant sound, that decay too, your thoughts about it I will really appreciate it mate, thank you so much again

      Ok, so Chad's Paiste 2002's are a B8 metal, basically. Paiste call it CuSn8.
      His cymbals are also colorsound coated. I have a few colour sound coated and un-coated 2002's and the coating does mute the cymbal tone, more like compression I guess.
      There isn't a direct match here to Zildjian, but Zildjian get a compressed muted effect with their dry lines otherwise move to a B8 or B12 Zildjian cymbal, not for all your cymbals but maybe some.
      As far as the main difference between A's, A customs and K's for me is their biteyness, or smoothness in the mix. For me a K is often lower in pitch (darker) and yet more acute, but at the same time k's can disappear in heavy guitar based music.
      I recommend looking at any Zildjian crash/rides as their design is more articulate yet crashable. I have some A Avedis crash/rides in bigger sizes, and they do have a compressed tone all of their own.
      Also the Zildjian S dark series are worth a listen. They are a B12 metal, close to Paistes B8, than all the other B20 Zildjian lines: th-cam.com/video/5A5bYgKazoI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=kUW2lmyeIeHUsUE1
      I haven't heard these in the flesh yet, but comparing their tones, wash and sound in my studio with my 2002 examples, a Zildjian S could work for you getting the Chad Smith sound from Zildjian.
      Also note, chad crashes are "19 & 20" extreme crashes" which are heavy; his hats are also heavy "power" weights.
      These rarely sound nice behind the kit, really quite aggressive and loud, but cut through mega PA systems well.
      Zildjian don't make a lot of really heavy cymbals these days, like the "Z's" of old.
      If you stick of crash rides they will be heavier, otherwise rock crashes and heavy hats.
      I hope this gets you started.

      @@KillerDrumsTV thank you so so much for these review. I really appreciate it. It’s so difficult to choose ones when you really put your head on them. It’s not just about buying something and that’s it, specially if you are very meticulously like me, thank you my friends, keep doing great videos as always !
      I was thinking about buying one K Sweet crash 19’ and one K custom dark 17’. After hearing them how can they sound as peers for 3 hours, im going to buy them hoping they are great mixed, thank you so much

    Jazz is boring

      @KillerDrumsTV  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah, I used to think so, I'm a rock player personally, that is until I tried playing jazz and realised that it's a whole other art form and discipline. Now I'd say, jazz is a challenge. Bless ya and thanks for commenting. Tony

    They sound great, and they look great, but how do they SMELL?

    • @KillerDrumsTV
      @KillerDrumsTV  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      That's so funny. As vintage collectors you'd think that would have been a given from us, but No!
      Which I think says that the smell of modern drums - being all sealed up with lacquers now - have very little fragrance other than the lacquer.
      But I might make a note for future film.
      Thanks for your thoughts. Tony
