    Are you going to do a tour on how your journal database is set up? I would love to see how you track habits and stuff in notion!

    Marie, I LOVE your brain so much!! It is so awesome how you have thought of ways to optimize Notion. Content like this is so hard to find and EXACTLY what I need! I'm neurodivergent and have chronic illnesses - this has been a game changer for me. I can now give my providers very informed trends on my health and mental health. The rate at which I've experienced progress is something I've never experienced before, and it's all thanks to your Notion tutorials!

    You have opened up my world for ways I can use Notion - especially for medical symptom & effectiveness tracking for chronic illness. I had a complex spreadsheet and this is much easier (or at least means doing many things in one place instead of in several different apps). Now if Amazing Marvin and Notion had a baby with options to print a variety of lovely views... I would be in heaven!
    And count me in as a another vote for a "energy tracking and recommended tasks" video! Thank you for all you give us on TH-cam!

    Great video! Thank you! I would LOVE to see the video on energy tracking and recommended tasks. Has that been done yet? Any plans ? Pretty please? Also, would you be willing to explain what is meant by "effectiveness" as it pertains to your tracking? Thx!! So thrilled to finally find a channel on Notion that resonates so much!

    I would love to see your ‘today’ dashboard! I think you mentioned it briefly in your journalling video too. Thanks so much for sharing, you’ve given me some great inspiration to add to my current journalling database that was quite simple.

      Honestly one of the biggest reasons i haven't been able to share it is because i have access to features Notion hasn't released yet, and they are majorly integrated into most of my dashboards. It's made sharing content very challenging :(

    Excellent video. Newbie to Notion so might be a stupid question. Can you refence a "cell" within the text on a page. For example, and a poor one at that, but have a sentence within a page that says, "On New Years Eve my sleep was (refence cell that contains sleep score for 31st December)"
    In my system I would like to be able to monitor appointment dates in a table and then have a page which can list them in the body of text. Hope that makes sense

    • @MariePoulin
      @MariePoulin  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So, you can't reference cells, you can only reference page titles unfortunately!

    LOVE!!! I know it definitely doesn't make sense to share the templates but can you share the names of your databases? I want to get mine setup and keep things separate (if needed). I wrote down you have these ones:
    1) Journal DB
    2) Activity DB
    3) Goals DB
    4) Supplements DB
    I think I saw in another video you have "Practices DB"?
    How do you decide when things should be in a separate DB vs. all together in one?
    THANK YOU!!!

    Hi Marie, learning lots here! How do you add the date of the activity automatically in the activity DB when you’re in the journal entry/DB? I don’t automatically have a workout entry created in the activity DB created everyday because I don’t work out everyday .

    • @MariePoulin
      @MariePoulin  ปีที่แล้ว

      Then the only real way to automate it is to have a rollup of your journal date inside your activity database, so as soon as you relate the two, the journal date is associated with it OR if you're creating new activity db entries, use a "Created date" in the activity database. I actually have all of those properties in my activity db so i can see it different ways: created at, updated at, journal date (rollup), and even just a plain date property.

    • @KalynBrookeCo
      @KalynBrookeCo ปีที่แล้ว

      So is your Activity calendar showing the created date property or updated date property? Just trying to think through how I could do the same workout twice in a month and still have that calendar show the workout on both days. Currently, I display the calendar by my journal DB but like you, I don’t like how it cuts off the second workout if you do two/day.

    • @Barjazid666
      @Barjazid666 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@KalynBrookeComy question also. I am trying to do exactly that for my recipe database which connects to my Days database but I cannot find any solution. My best guess is that Marie uses some of Notion's forthcoming features.

    Hello! quick question: what do you do with the "Workout 5x/times for 12 weeks" entry after the all 12 weeks have passed? Do you create another entry for the next 12 weeks and so on? Thank you!

    • @MariePoulin
      @MariePoulin  ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends - if i'm just extending the goal, i'll change the dates and continue adding weeks to it!

    • @SteamGem

      On my subpages or the pages that popout of the gallery view, the top properties stay the same on all the pages in that table. Yours didn't and I was wondering if I could get mine to do so?@@MariePoulin

    New to Notion and new to your videos - trying to see how you did the sweet little energy icons next to the words. I can see in main bar how to get that selected at the top but the only other customization I can see is colour change for options? Have you done another video on how to create this styling? Or if I'm blind and it's right in front of me? lol

    • @MariePoulin
      @MariePoulin  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It would be next to impossible to share this as a template, as its made up of dozens of interconnected databases that are based on the way I use Notion. I've given templates like this away before in the past, and it only leads to confusion and frustration. These systems only truly work when you build them yourself.
