    As well as her superb content, Marie is the master Notion themer - it's all in the pleasing little details: a carefully selected, complementary colour theme in the OS background, Notion headers, even her video background and make-up.

    I LOVE the way you think and how helpful your kind of setup process has been for me. I wish I could peek into every corner of your Notion!!! I have a similar thought process on theming (I took a screenshot during the moment you have that toggle open), so I'm excited to build out something similar for myself with adjustments for my needs. And I appreciate seeing how you organize your weekly planning & review. I had tied my weekly review and weekly planning dbs into my Friday journal template, but I think this approach will work better (or having the links in both places). Thanks for this!

It's actually not so overly complicated once someone masters the way Notion works (check), but the consistency of doing the Weekly Review is a tough one (no way this is checked). I am still very new with notion, but I am sure it is THE tool for my futureself-organizing-management. I am just wondering how and where to get the best and deepest insights of notion.
    Furthermore it would be great, if you are going to show your monthly, quarterly and yearly reviews, too. Is there somehow an opportunity to get these insights? Especially as we're running towards the end of the year it would be a great opportunity to create a full setup. Many many thanks for a short feedback. Best regards and again many thanks for sharing.

    Hi there! I just discovered Notion and have fallen in love with it as I am a nerd and love organization. I love your videos! I had a question. How do you make your select option be icons instead of just words (ie your burner status for projects DB) Also, how would I set it up so that if the burner status is changed, it changes the due date property of related tasks and what other related task properties you have this action (changing the burner status of projects) change?

I love the idea, just trying to figure out if it's an 'advanced use, learn later' thing or a 'could use now' thing. Thanks again for making these videos. What do you mean by "diffrentiate"? they are all in the same database, but they are related to different projects. Oh wow. Looks great. High quality design ánd functionality.
    The latter is way out of my reach. Despite almost one year of using Notion, compared to this I’m still a beginner. But I’m happy with my simpler setup. (For now.;)
    About the design though!
    - Your dividers, they are purple and change colours!!! How did you create them? (Nice touch, by the way, of having your background lighting match your workspace.)
    - Your weekly ‘one card board view’ includes a list below the thumbnail, with a combination of checkboxes and text properties (incl. all-cap headers). How do you format it like this?
    I’d love to implement these within my own workspace.

    • @MariePoulin

    I was looking for a gardening database and came across yours which has led me to spending the last week learning how to use notion. I thought I could replace all my various productivity apps for notion to streamline my life but having spent a week setting up a dashboard I realise Notion has a major drawback. On Ipad and iphone there is no sound alert for reminders in notion and it seems Notion has supposedly been going to add sound for 2 years that I can see. As an expert in notion, are you aware of any work around to getting sound on reminders? I’ve been looking at syncing Notion with other apps that I get alerts for but don’t really want to have to pay $10 a month just to get sound notifications!

    • @MariePoulin
      @MariePoulin  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is so fascinating to me because I turn off notifications on every app I use, so i cannot imagine that being a big enough drawback not to use it! But i understand we all have our personal preferences. I'm not certain about this but might be worth tweeting and tagging @notionhq to confirm/ask!
