That is so cool that you have used all your blushes at least five times! Very impressive. I will be forever in your debt for the idea combining one blush with a different blush but keeping one constant.
I did that with my cream Moira blush and I loved the different shades that created! I finished my Moira and it was fun-I never got bored. I am now doing this with two Rare Beauty liquid blushes. I have come to realize that I don’t really like cream or liquid blushes so I want to go through them quickly and just have my powders. This method has made using them up so fun💃🏿
Yes! I have to declutter. There are eye shadow palettes that I don’t like, I don’t know why I am keeping them😬
I have a monthly makeup stash I use. I didn’t change the April stash for May because I wanted to use them again. This weekend, I will select a new stash.
I have been on a strict six month no buy, and it has really helped me just enjoy what I have and most importantly, I don’t really want a lot of the makeup I would have mindlessly bought. I have a running list of what I wanted to buy and looking at it, I only want maybe three things out of like the 40 (!) I would have bought!
My collection is embarrassingly large lol😅

Congrats on finishing a blush! I find decluttering freeing because then I can focus on the things I love. I'm so glad you're having success on your no buy! Keep it up!
I'd say I have a moderately sized collection. Lots of eyeshadow palettes and lip and cheek options, but my base products are usually replacement only. I am currently on a low buy because of financial/space constraints. I love seasonal baskets for rotating through my color products, and I dove headfirst into project panning this year ❤❤

The only way I can get control of my collection/hoard is to stop bringing new things in, being honest with myself and decluttering things that I just don’t want anymore and USING MY MAKEUP. I have a chronic illness and don’t wear makeup all that often anymore but if I want to use stuff up I’ve just got to wear it. So I am trying. I kind of love and hate my huge collection but project panning and my no buy is completely changing how I view things.

I have a relatively small makeup collection (fewer than 30 items). I’ve found that a good way to keep it relatively curated is by not adding things (or even looking for things to add) that I don’t perceive value in for me and my face/skin and how I do my makeup. For instance, I don’t own a single bronzer, and I never wear mascara (I’ve found that I always get eye infections when I wear mascara, even if I only keep them for a couple of months). I also don’t find that I like all the shades in eyeshadow palettes, so I don’t own any eyeshadow palettes (I like single shadows and have 5). Just being realistic about what I would actually use up to completion.
