Lmao, it’s crazy how the corpo path makes the most sense because V already knows Jackie, it’s pretty much the same with Nomad path “hey we did one job together we should be friends, move into my apartment until you find your own place stranger”
She’s supposed to have just got back in town, I sort of assumed she was staying ins one dive motel and after a few jobs together she started crashing at Jacks. He’s a nice guy he’d suggest she save her money for a place of her rather than waste it at the no tell motel
well, streetkid V says to the Padre that they just got back from Atlanta. also, that it did not go well, (wouldnt be back here if it had gone good) so V did not come back to NightCity by choice, i expect. Jackie didnt try to kill them tho (lol, threaten, yeah but then, you can shoot someone in the leg in NC and its not an offence, ya know?) just scare them out of the car, cause it was worth a lot of eddies. i bet that slimy little rat Kirk was being paid to test the security of the car. NC has a fair few places to stay, besides the dive motel we stayed at with Panam. we have the Cubes and the Coffins. Coffins are a bit like a japaneese capsule hotel....only not as nice XD. they are super cheap but have no locks or doors. if you are lucky, you get a clean(ish) mattress pad and the tv in the roof/radio in the wall works or turns on/off lol. you have access to facilites as a customer, but thats not much, and if you need to keep your stuff safe, you have a chance that the locks have already been broken on the rentable lockers. facilites are pretty much just a communal bathroom and sitting area. Cubes are small one room units you can rent that have a bed and bathroom area, probably 7 feet by 7 feet square. you get a lockable door and a shower/fold out toilet/fold out sink area plus built in bed (single) with maybe a cabinet with microwave. V was probably renting a Cube, might have stayed in a Coffin Hotel the first night back. or, they slept on the trip back and literaly just got back and got mugged. plus, you don't turn down free food in NC, unless its from a Corpo lol. and no, streetkid V did not have their own place when they got back. those bus tickets cost a fair bit, plus there is likely a charge to get out of the city, a charge to get past the NC border (remember, the Nomad had to bribe the border guard to get the package thru) and then another charge to get into the rest of the NUsa (since NightCity isnt actualy part of the NUsa, but part of the Free Citys iirc) i expect V is comming home broke, and hoped to sofa surf till some extra eddies comes their way
