I would be so sad if you stopped making videos. I enjoyed seeing your day in a life video. It’s good to see the kids again and those are such good memories to have. I struggle with knowing what content to make too. It’s so hard to always come up with new things as I’m pretty boring and when things aren’t boring I’m too involved in life to think to pick up a camera. Lol. I’d love to hear more about organizing. You’re great at that!
You are an amazing, beautiful soul! I’m a college student, live in LA, and have almost nothing in common with you, yet I love watching your videos as a fresh breath of air. Living on a farm and owning a golden doodle is a dream of mine! I think you should not give up, and recognize the positive impact you have on others’ days regardless of how many comments or views you may get. TH-cam can be a nasty platform, but you are such a positive light in it.
Oh my gosh, Amy, I relate to you so much! I always go home after a social event (or any social interaction) and replay and regret all the things I said. Before the pandemic I started reading a book called how to be yourself. It was about social anxiety and it was so helpful. I didn't finish it though because we went into lockdown. But I've been thinking about getting it back out lately because after this year I feel more socially awkward than ever!! I love your videos. For me it's just nice to see someone relatable. I enjoy vlogs and life on the farm stuff. I enjoy the chatty videos too. I just enjoy your content!

I loved this video. I am watching it mid morning while my husband is sleeping in. Just drinking a cup of coffee and working on a crochet project while watching. It felt like catching up with a friend, which I rarely do because like you I am social awkward. And I TOTALLY get going somewhere and getting back home and thinking of a million different things you could have said. Sometimes I get so sad when I think of something funny or a pun that I could have used and then I feel like it was a missed oppertunity.

I'm sooo glad you found someone to hang out with Amy!!! I totally get the "being in your head" thing with overanalyzing everything you say, especially around new people! But I always think of the idea that if someone is my true friend, they won't judge me even if I say the stupidest things! With my girlfriends I have said a LOT of dumb blonde things over the years haha but I don't get embarrassed because we just laugh about it together and move on! And gosh you're so smart Amy! Don't you have your master's degree in SLP?? That is REALLY something to be proud of, not many people can say they could have gotten through a master's program, especially in a science degree like that! I used to be socially awkward and in my head. I’d over analyze everything I said when I’d get home. Instead I decided to just be honest if people were discussing a topic I was familiar with - that it wasn’t something I was well versed in and just be okay with that. I’ve also just tried to be more confident in who I am when I do speak. People who are your true friends aren’t nit picking everything you say. They’re just happy to have your company. I’ve also learned to humble myself and apologize to people after a social gathering if I felt like I’d spoken out of line on something. It’s made me see that people aren’t as critical as I thought, and they’re very gracious toward my mistakes.
I'm 35 and I can identify with so much of what you said about being in your own head, worrying about what you said and over analyzing. I have hair loss and its getting bad the past few years and I need to wear a wig or hair topper but am afraid to do so as people will see I went from super thin hair to 'normal hair'. I'm getting to the point I know hair loss is much more common in women than we're led to believe (women hide it from shame) maybe one day I will find a hair piece that works for me. I think you've entering a new phase now with friendships and sub teaching it all sounds really positive and hopefully will boost your confidence. You're so natural on camera(I couldn't do it) if you didn't admit to it people wouldn't know you suffer from social anxiety. When we are socially anxious or lack self esteem its appears that everyone else is more confident, bright and capable than us. But its not true, we're all human and we all have different characteristics which society perceives as flaws. I know that I have 'book smarts' and a great memory but when it comes to social skills I virtually don't have any. And what is normal anyway? Its just our perception of what we think society says is normal.

I always second guess if I should be talking, which I tend to over talk because I am anxious. So then I over share. LOL doh. But I don't want to just be at home with my family all the time. I would love to, I am thinning on top at the front, but they’re thousands and thousands of dollars in Australia. Unaffordable for most. Social anxiety is the worst. If you feel comfortable with this group, be sure to invite them back to your house and host them sometimes. Speak your mind, you’re an intelligent, educated woman and that makes you interesting. Pump yourself up, Amy, no one else is going to do it for you. When I started watching TH-cam in around 2010, I watched you and Lora and Lucy....and now Lora and Lucy aren’t making videos anymore so let that be a feather in your cap. You have staying power.
Yes, girl. You normalize wigs! Love that. It’s not something I ever think about because my hair isn’t gray or thinning yet, but I LOVE knowing it’s an option. How amazing that you can have a different style in an instant. That’s what so many people want but can’t have because we just have the hair we’ve been given. Loved this vlog. If we lived closer we could let the pups run and we could do walks. You are fun and kind and people adore you.
I'm totally the same way. I long for friendships and people to talk to and hang out with here, but I also pick apart everything I say and do and I think I say dumb things and I always think people don't like me. I'm really hard on myself and I can't stop it. I also want to just stay home and not talk to anyone, lol.
I totally relate to everything you talked about. Ive always had trouble making friends. I only had brothers, all my neighborhood playmates growing up were boys, I only had one close friend in high school. I myself had 2 boys, Ive moved around a lot as an adult and I just really struggle to fit in anywhere. I do the same in my head thing and second guess everything I say when with people. I think I want a friend so bad that I worry about every little thing cause I just want people to like me. Wish we lived closer cause I'd love to hang out with you. I am an introvert so going out with people always exhausts me. I think it's so fascinating that you describe it as energizing! I too love to walk and taking a walk with a friend is one of my most favorite things to do. I am glad you found someone to walk with. I shaved my head to donate my hair to Locks of Love in January. My hair has grown to about an inch and is starting to look CRAZY. I was just thinking the other day that maybe I should get a wig to wear while growing it out through the awkward stages. Do you find then hot/uncomfortable in the summer?

And honestly I remember reaching out to you before my daughter had her open heart surgery and you gave me comfort- even though that was the most challenging time of my life! We got through it! : ) I think you should show more videos of your farm and put it to relaxing music so we can escape to the farm with you! I’m incredibly open about my wig wearing. I have never done a Twitch stream without a wig. I wear them as both a religious practice (I’m the first Jewish NB that I know of who does this) and also because it’s my primary way of showing my queerness. I’ve essentially brow beat me family into accepting the fact that I’m here, I’m queer, and I wear wigs. I’ve made several friends and fellow Twitch streamers who also wear wigs. If you’re interested I have several streams up on my TH-cam channel taking about wigs and my relationship with them. Just found your channel and it’s very cool!

I feel like every time I'm making a friend or hopeful of making a friend we don't become good friends and I always wonder what is wrong with me. On the other hand I know I'm weird and silly and I want whomever I'm friends with to accept me for me. I had no idea that was a wig. I always thought that was your real hair. I think you’re socially confident to be in front of a camera discussing your life and secondly there’s nothing wrong with wigs, hair extensions etc if that’s what a person wants to do and it makes them happy. You’re an awesome person lady!

You talk about what you shouldn’t say at an event, I worry about NOT talking at all ... I feel I don’t want to talk, but if I don’t will people think I’m stuck up ... stand offish .... wigs ... I’ve got one ... it is about your wigs length but I have real chin length hair ... and worry that because of the major difference, what will people say ... I might get another that is a length between my real hair and the wig I have now. I so enjoy your videos just because you are so easy to listen to. I love watching your videos! I have always wanted to try a wig but always thought they cost an outrageous amount of $$$. Now I want to look more into them. I totally understand being socially awkward. My best friend passed away last year and that was my only friend. My kids tease me about not liking people or being socially awkward. I spend a lot of time with my grandfather and besides him its my kids. It's hard to make "friends" at 36 . I guess us introverts just need to get out there and try

I can’t make friends, all the friends I’ve made after high school (or all my life, really) Have been people who pursued me and put forth all the effort in the beginning. I’m totally in my head most of the time and go over what i did and said over and over hoping I wasn’t too weird! 😅. Once we establish a friendship, I’m a ride or die! I wish I was more brave because having friends is such a stress reliever!

Wearing wigs is not taboo. You’d be surprised at how many of us wear them!! Some for various reasons. I wear them to avoid the comments of what I really look like without them.
Don’t worry - you’re not alone! Just wear them in confidence and don’t worry what others think. Most won’t even realize it. Enjoy your life and be comfortable with it. You go, girl! Love your videos.

I have a mini golden doodle that is 5 months old and I have learned so much from you about training etc. I have never thought of wearing wigs. I think it would be so fun to have different hairstyles. I have Mila in shaded peach gorgeous colour. You need to tell anyone who looks etc that you wear wigs & having soo much fun & can't wait to try lot's of different styles & colours. If your happy and enthusiastic other people will be too. Instead of "being that woman who wears wigs" you will an advocate for other women who want to try wigs but don't yet have the confidence!! Look at it as a service to other women that are possibly suffering with hair issues 👍💞
Introvert with anxiety and a social disability here: so yes, I absolutely do that. And since getting my disability diagnosis several years ago, it's worse because now I go in knowing I'm awkward and limited in how much I can do about it.

Oh, wow...you sound just like me socially!! I always describe myself as socially awkward and I do overthink everything. 😂. I was a VERY shy child. Social situations just make me uncomfortable so as an adult I’ve never had many actual friends (outside of work friends, ..church friends ...you know.?) because I don’t enjoy doing things away from my family. I feel too guilty to enjoy time away. And then also the whole not being able to relax, awkward feelings, etc. ANYhoo...I like your wigs/hair and don’t think it is weird, but I understand that they do seem like a taboo subject -they’re kind of viewed as a “what is she hiding?? “ kind of thing -like people only choose to wear them because something is wrong and they don’t want to talk about it. I watched a lot of your wig videos a while back because my hair is realllly thinning and I thought I was going to have to start wearing something...but they are sooooooo expensive I could never spend that on myself. And , it seems like the thinning has not progressed so maybe I’ll be okay:) Ummm...what would I like to see from you??....day in the life is good, I like meal ideas (even though I’m plant based-I usually try to adapt ideas to work for us) , type 1 Tuesdays are good to me...maybe keep kind of a weekly vlog of happenings to combine into a weekly type 1 video? I do the same exact thing. I hang out somewhere, then go over in my head everything I said and did and wonder if it was dumb lol. I am slowly starting to not do it as much though. I did, however, attempt some chicken recipe you had up years ago. =) I also liked when you were reviewing different snacks. My husband and kids did that a lot on here, but they haven't done it in a while.
I had very thick hair . Very thick. Had. Now I have hypothyroidism and have lost half my hair. I now have thin hair. I’m looking into getting hair pieces to make my hair more full again. In the late 60’s and early 70’s, my mom wore wigs for special occasions and so did her sister. I think it was common back then.

I love wigs just can never get them to match my hair. 😔 I'm a red head. I love my hair during chemo and it's so thin now. I say you do you! I'm 40 now and feel like I wasted so much of my life caring what others think.

My husbands family has game night once a month and his cousins are big into celebrities, movies, plays, historical figures, authors.. Everything!! We always play this game where you put names in a bowl and have to pick one out and describe them to your team as fast as you can and get them to guess who it is.... I HATE playing it. I feel so stupid!!! I know none of that stuff 🤣🤣

I used to be socially awkward and in my head. I’d over analyze everything I said when I’d get home. Instead I decided to just be honest if people were discussing a topic I was familiar with - that it wasn’t something I was well versed in and just be okay with that. I’ve also just tried to be more confident in who I am when I do speak. People who are your true friends aren’t nit picking everything you say. They’re just happy to have your company. I’ve also learned to humble myself and apologize to people after a social gathering if I felt like I’d spoken out of line on something. It’s made me see that people aren’t as critical as I thought, and they’re very gracious toward my mistakes.
I know you say no one ever watches them but I miss your get it or forget it! I love watching people try all the new snacks/products that are out.
I'm 35 and I can identify with so much of what you said about being in your own head, worrying about what you said and over analyzing. I have hair loss and its getting bad the past few years and I need to wear a wig or hair topper but am afraid to do so as people will see I went from super thin hair to 'normal hair'. I'm getting to the point I know hair loss is much more common in women than we're led to believe (women hide it from shame) maybe one day I will find a hair piece that works for me.
I think you've entering a new phase now with friendships and sub teaching it all sounds really positive and hopefully will boost your confidence. You're so natural on camera(I couldn't do it) if you didn't admit to it people wouldn't know you suffer from social anxiety.
When we are socially anxious or lack self esteem its appears that everyone else is more confident, bright and capable than us. But its not true, we're all human and we all have different characteristics which society perceives as flaws. I know that I have 'book smarts' and a great memory but when it comes to social skills I virtually don't have any. And what is normal anyway? Its just our perception of what we think society says is normal.

And Amy, it sure sounds like we are in the same head space. I always second guess if I should be talking, which I tend to over talk because I am anxious. So then I over share. LOL doh. I would love to, I am thinning on top at the front, but they’re thousands and thousands of dollars in Australia. Unaffordable for most. Social anxiety is the worst. If you feel comfortable with this group, be sure to invite them back to your house and host them sometimes. Speak your mind, you’re an intelligent, educated woman and that makes you interesting. Yes, girl. You normalize wigs! Love that. It’s not something I ever think about because my hair isn’t gray or thinning yet, but I LOVE knowing it’s an option. How amazing that you can have a different style in an instant. That’s what so many people want but can’t have because we just have the hair we’ve been given. Loved this vlog. If we lived closer we could let the pups run and we could do walks. You are fun and kind and people adore you.

I long for friendships and people to talk to and hang out with here, but I also pick apart everything I say and do and I think I say dumb things and I always think people don't like me. I totally relate to everything you talked about. Ive always had trouble making friends. I only had brothers, all my neighborhood playmates growing up were boys, I only had one close friend in high school. I myself had 2 boys, Ive moved around a lot as an adult and I just really struggle to fit in anywhere. I do the same in my head thing and second guess everything I say when with people. I am an introvert so going out with people always exhausts me. I think it's so fascinating that you describe it as energizing! I too love to walk and taking a walk with a friend is one of my most favorite things to do. I am glad you found someone to walk with. I shaved my head to donate my hair to Locks of Love in January. My hair has grown to about an inch and is starting to look CRAZY. I was just thinking the other day that maybe I should get a wig to wear while growing it out through the awkward stages. Do you find then hot/uncomfortable in the summer?

And honestly I remember reaching out to you before my daughter had her open heart surgery and you gave me comfort- even though that was the most challenging time of my life! I’m incredibly open about my wig wearing. I have never done a Twitch stream without a wig. I wear them as both a religious practice (I’m the first Jewish NB that I know of who does this) and also because it’s my primary way of showing my queerness. I’ve essentially brow beat me family into accepting the fact that I’m here, I’m queer, and I wear wigs. I’ve made several friends and fellow Twitch streamers who also wear wigs. If you’re interested I have several streams up on my TH-cam channel taking about wigs and my relationship with them. Just found your channel and it’s very cool!

I can’t make friends, all the friends I’ve made after high school (or all my life, really) Have been people who pursued me and put forth all the effort in the beginning. I wish I was more brave because having friends is such a stress reliever!

Wearing wigs is not taboo. You’d be surprised at how many of us wear them!! Some for various reasons. I wear them to avoid the comments of what I really look like without them.

I have thin hair too but I’ve always had very fine thin hair but this year I got my first few gray hairs so I plucked them out! 😬 lol Your time with your friend sounds wonderful! I’m a former teacher and currently a SAHM to a kindergartner who will finally be going back to school in person next week and an almost 3 year old so I am in great need of socialization! I have Mila in shaded peach gorgeous colour. You need to tell anyone who looks etc that you wear wigs & having soo much fun & can't wait to try lot's of different styles & colours. If your happy and enthusiastic other people will be too. Instead of "being that woman who wears wigs" you will an advocate for other women who want to try wigs but don't yet have the confidence!! Look at it as a service to other women that are possibly suffering with hair issues 👍💞

Introvert with anxiety and a social disability here: so yes, I absolutely do that. And since getting my disability diagnosis several years ago, it's worse because now I go in knowing I'm awkward and limited in how much I can do about it.

Oh, wow...you sound just like me socially!! I always describe myself as socially awkward and I do overthink everything. 😂. I was a VERY shy child. Social situations just make me uncomfortable so as an adult I’ve never had many actual friends (outside of work friends, ..church friends ...you know.?) because I don’t enjoy doing things away from my family. I feel too guilty to enjoy time away. And then also the whole not being able to relax, awkward feelings, etc. ANYhoo...I like your wigs/hair and don’t think it is weird, but I understand that they do seem like a taboo subject -they’re kind of viewed as a “what is she hiding?? “ kind of thing -like people only choose to wear them because something is wrong and they don’t want to talk about it. I watched a lot of your wig videos a while back because my hair is realllly thinning and I thought I was going to have to start wearing something...but they are sooooooo expensive I could never spend that on myself. And , it seems like the thinning has not progressed so maybe I’ll be okay:) Ummm...what would I like to see from you??....day in the life is good, I like meal ideas (even though I’m plant based-I usually try to adapt ideas to work for us) , type 1 Tuesdays are good to me...maybe keep kind of a weekly vlog of happenings to combine into a weekly type 1 video? I do the same exact thing. I hang out somewhere, then go over in my head everything I said and did and wonder if it was dumb lol. I am slowly starting to not do it as much though. I love seeing how you organize things. I am not much of a cook so I feel bad I don't watch those videos. I did, however, attempt some chicken recipe you had up years ago. =) I also liked when you were reviewing different snacks. I had very thick hair . Very thick. Had. Now I have hypothyroidism and have lost half my hair. I now have thin hair. I’m looking into getting hair pieces to make my hair more full again.
In the late 60’s and early 70’s, my mom wore wigs for special occasions and so did her sister. I think it was common back then.

We always play this game where you put names in a bowl and have to pick one out and describe them to your team as fast as you can and get them to guess who it is.... I HATE playing it. I feel so stupid!!! I know none of that stuff 🤣🤣
