No no never play cold front with nightfae, nightfae with Disciplinary Command or Freezing Winds, necro with Cold Front or Slick Ice like shown in the vid ma dude !

Hello, i already read about this class at Icy veins, wowhead, mage discord and other guides. To be honest you seems to be a real player that understand what ppl struggles, You guide its clear and show few key things that other guides just do not tell. I am having a problem with my mage 257 itemlvl, 2pieces set, 30crit/22 Haste, necrolord with standart talents and conduits, Slick Ice legen. I am really good at single target but my AoE just don't show... 10k at most in big pulls, doing shatter with 2p and full rotation(AoE)

Clarify - as Necro 4p using Slick Ice = normal rotation until 3 or more targets then hold lances ONLY when in mage window? If Flurry procs = fb then flurry then 2 lances If Lances proc = send just 1 If both proc = send the Lances, then FB and flurry and 2 more lances? Or are you saying if they both proc it can make more sense to send the flurry and 2 lances if we don't think we can get a fb off? Thanks! Most helpful guide to-date :)
Great, great video. Quick question - I'm just coming back to the game for the new patch and my Frost Mage is only 553 at the moment. I have 25% crit but my sims are all telling me to replace all gems enchants with versatility enchants and gems, even though that leaves me pretty far away from the crit soft cap. Does that matter? Or is my sim wrong?
Very good video and present very well. Finally I can find a guide to follow. Btw, I can't quite get the combination of Necrolord + freezing winds (which is my current build). I usually do pugs and sometimes with friend around 14-16 M+. I do find freezing winds I dont know what to do with 4-6 target while the proc are overwhelming. (esp in Deathborne window) If I keep frostbolting and feel like i m wasting fingers of frost proc. Should I keep it or go for Slick ice. Thanks for advice if you have time :)
my advice for you is that if you play these keylevels which are quite low (no front or flame) better go for nightfae freezing winds and go hard on tyranical you could go necro with slick ice but it really shines more in 20+ keys (all is taken out of my experience) Ive been personally playing with destro and survival so i struggled with coldfront in our 22, 23 keys cuz you can't get any value out of a group im going back to nightfae but for this tyranical week i might stay necro slick ice for boss dmg
Whatever I do, I cant do more than 50% of the aoe dps of a warlock or a survival hunter, or a fury warrior. I do barely above tanks (esdepcially bears, they do 75k on packs, I do 30-40k). I have 2900 rio and Ilvl 277, bis trinkets and everything. I carefully shatter all 2set comet storms, and regardless of NF or NL covenant, class balance this tier is simply SHIT.
this is taken out of my own experience: take soleahs or elegy with changeling and you gtg! the others make no sense at all, like some people were playing CF with IQD for the 3min big blast but for ex if you play with lock surv and they out dps you in aoe it has 0 value my advice is soleah/elegy + changeling(on haste obv) *edit* all around stat boosts: soleahs/elegy is always up and change proccs are like 30% uptime over the whole duration of a key (just like cele. guidance) protip: track changeling and guidance procc to get the most out of everything for ex a procced lance

New Frost mage here. I'm about 240 ilvl and I'm running keys around everywhere between 5-10. I've acquired the Cold Front legendary as a necro lord (I went necro lord for "fantasy" reasons). I mostly play m+, but I feel like far too often my stacks for the legendary drops off between packs, or that I have so many procs of icy fingers/brain freeze to fire off that I barely gain stacks. So I'm considering swapping to slick instead and just accept my AoE will suffer. Any thoughts on this anyone? Either way, I can't swap to slick rn anyways as I'm not exhalted with the new faction (just returned to the game), so can't move unity and I have my set pieces on legs. Need moral support :(
Your AoE won’t suffer from playing Slick Ice. In fact, Slick Ice performs better than Cold Front in the lower pug keys. Hopefully you can get exalted soon 🥰 Though remember you can put tier on a gear item in a tier piece slot via the catalyst in Zereth Mortis

7:17 why are you moving out of that aoe thing there? you lose uptime on your rune and can't line it up with that fae puddle?
