deadass think that Merns transitioning into a new sub-genre of modding. Similar to MXR's "modding weekly" series which populated the skyrim community for a long, LONG time. But instead with themed modlists. Very excited for the future of this channel and the influence it'll have
all these mods look fantastic. Honestly a lot of these relationships mods reminded me of the RPG elements in Mount & Blade. I know in Bannerlord you can have kids if you get married and if you're playing permadeath mode (to be added soon) if you die in battle, and you have a child, you have the option of continuing your campaign as them. Sorta like an heir. There's also another M&B warband mechanic where if you have a lot of followers in your party, certain followers will not get along with one another, and eventually if you don't do anything about it, one of them will get frustrated and leave your party. It would be cool to see something like that implemented in Skyrim to immersively cap off how many followers you have at a time and also give each follower a stronger personality.
Imagine a Skyrim Bannerlord mod that broke up the world map into isolated regions with an Overworld map when you cross a Hold boundary or interact with a sign, where you move on an overworld the way you do in Mount and Blade, and you can run into random encounters and stuff on that overworld with region based sandbox terrains to do battle in. Further mods could add pips / markers to that overworld itself directly to place new locations free of the limitations of the worldmap itself. From the Overworld you could directly interact with important NPCs and UIs like certain shops or directly load into a desired cell such as going straight to the Winking Skeever or going straight to the Blue Palace.
I'm glad you mentioned fertility mode. Honestly, it's one of my top mods. The only problem was when I last used it, I had a son, sent him back to breezehome as a baby and travelled there literally a day later to find him already an adult.

This is a hidden gem of a video. It's so easy to just recommend the same old mods, to just say "oh, download iNeeds and Frostfall," even though they are among the top mods ever downloaded. You do not. You talk about mods I have never heard of and never seen anyone talk about. Mods that clearly don't get enough love; heck, I think the only mod I had tried in this video was RS Children, and I have been modding for only 6 years now. My mod load order is kinda borked atm, but I think I'll use some of these!

this is dope! i play on PS so i’ve never really gotten super into modding before, but watching clips of this especially with all the other mods it seems you already have in-game are so cool (like how it zooms in on the NPC talking, very oblivion-feeling but in a better way) the skyrim modding community is insane, with all that’s available there’s like multiple whole other games of it now essentially. just super cool. so props to all those who make mods and props to you on such a well edited video showcasing them!

Last year modded Skyrim SE (XB1) trying to do something like this!! I wanted to "play" w/o playing (quest lines & being dragon born)... Was kinda getting a LO made that I liked before stopping. @@yomahashimoto3701 Temper enchant services: allows mages and blacksmiths to temper your equipment for you instead of learning to do it yourself. It also enchants look you find in the world. Real names: no more generic npcs. Everyone has a name! As they do in reality. Alternative start-live another life: start the game how you want. As a Street beggar or a priest. Good for rp. Dragons from the start: allows dragons to roam without needing to start the main quest. Relationship dialogue overhaul: just allows for more immersive followers. Player voicesets: because why shouldn't your person be able to talk. (They'll still be silent in dialogue choices but now they can make comments when you loot, get into fights, ect. They don't become their own character but they just feel a bit more alive)
I kinda wished these mods also applied to all NPC's as well + having story progression/ neighbourhood stories mechanics for them as well. Also the sims also has abstract aging/ seasons system as well which allows you to tamper with the time for seasons + how long sims age + persistent world for those that are into permadeath and also want the world to resume it's self after you die and start a new character without having to delete your save file, the sims has that feature as well. If Skyrim had all the sims features, omg Skyrim would be super fun as fuck! I'd set player/NPC age to 80 days since in the sims each day is like a year due to how I play it, seasons would be 7 days each season but yea. lol The only games that has story progression atm is the sims and Dwarf fortress, would be nice if more games had it. :D
Most of the mods listed affect NPC's as well, including the baby having mod, also there are already mods that morph the world as season passes dynamically(seasons of Skyrim).

Can they get hungry thus need to eat or die of starvation? stay warm or die to the cold? realistic resources where they can run out thus causing them to gather/ craft em? @@Guylock breed yes, but is simulated, random factor, also no i didn't say anything else you listed you can re read my comment if you have any doubts, anyways everything you said there are already mods for, but needs are just for the player and followers(mods: ineed, mini needs and more) weather ,cold, rain etc is there for player only and partially some effects on npc's ,mostly visual for npc's(mods: frostfall , wet and cold) , resources mostly what Skyrim has, added a lot of more foods animations etc by different mods, there are some crafting modes, camping mods, even wood cutting mods, hunting.

In regards to the children overhaul, I highly recommend also adding Realistic RS children. They look way better, because the base RS children makes all kids basically look like child models.

You should be putting a warning with Fertility mod as it can break your game at times even if you have mods that are compatible or just the required mods for Fertility mod. It can also leave behind files if you uninstall it.

I'm a little surprised Proteus wasn't mentioned. It lets you play as multiple characters, like in the Sims. Then again, I have no idea how that interacts with mods like Fertility Mode, or even the vanilla marriage system.
I always wanted to adopt for more than two children in Skyrim and maybe have like 6 kids. I know, I know it sounds like a nightmare but can you imagine? I adopt both Lucia and Sofie, but I wish I could adopt both Aventus and Blaze, too.
I was wondering if anyone knew of a mod similar to Moodmod (I suspect there are none) I tried it out and really liked it at first but a few bugs and limitations made me a tad dissatisfied with the experience. I especially liked the idea of giving my character an actual personality disconnected from worship and birthsigns as well as the mood deterioration when forced to eat the same food over and over again.
