    It was a special collection called Paris-Shanghai for Chanel's "pre-fall" collection . It was presented in Shanghai over the river and it was superb ...dont know the year though

    it's called tambour beading or "la broderie de Luneville" in French

    the show in the beginning wasn't a couture show....it was a ready-to-wear show
