I just installed these and they are definitely an upgrade. Keep it simple plug the new lights, hit the unlock button, if they don't light up switch the connections. No need to pull out the meter. Thanks for the video
@@rhurtadorh32 I think my engine is a newer one even though the miles are high at the time of this video. I’m going to think my miles are probably 30,000 less than what’s pictured. now I have 150,000+ miles on my car and still don’t have a problem with the water pump, at least not yet.
Very well done video Sir. Saw another vid where the was like removing the mirror facing and drilling and stuff. Felt a little better after watching this one. Thanks
I was trying to put other types of led and they did not work later I looked for and found your video thank you very much for the information I am waiting for them to arrive to install them in my wife's ford fusion 2015 great video👍🏼🙏🏼⚪️
I got these.. they worked great... I wanted the lincoln logo on the light.. I order new one from ebay.. works great really classy.. they make one with Ford logo too.. they are the same
Great video. Can't wait to pick up my Fusion, and do this. I like how you mention the smoke 😂 I always hate letting the factory installed smoke out of electrical stuff...lol
I'm not sure but my thought is the LED would just not turn on. I would not worry about the vehicles power side because its fused and possibly circuit protected. To be sure, just buy a cheap digital multi-meter from Harbor Freight Tools or Walmart. Turn on the lights and touch the red and black meter leads to the connections and read the meter. If there is a negitive (-) symbol on the screen, switch the colors around until you get no (-). The red will be positive and black will be negitive. hope this helps.
When you replaced these did it throw any lights on the dashboard like lightbulb out. I’m wanting to replace my expedition license plate and puddle mirrors
I bought these are exact puddle lights but in blue and they only come on for one second tried wired boths ways still only stay on for one second if not half a second
You might have a loose connection. When I swapped mine out the female connection didn't make a snug connection. All you need to do is use a set of pliers to squeeze the connector together just a little so when you connect the male end it has a tight connection.
Why does my 2013 fusion titanium hyper flash after installing these I tried reversing polarity and still flashes any ideas all terminals are clean Oem bulb works perfect ?
Probably has something to do with the lack of a load these LED's produce. The Oem bulbs have more of a load. The Body control module (BCM) sees LED'S and thinks the light is burned out. You could try a load resistor or a capacitor wired across both terminals.
@@alextran8188 True. I thought of that but IDK if he is willing to buy an OBD adapter w/ MS hi-low canbus and get a extended license for Forscan. I will truly help with that if you want to go that route @Vq35 Master DIY.

You can always just scrub through the video if that works for you. Funny how everyone else appreciated the explanation and detail. I'm just trying to help you correctly install the puddle lights. If I talk too much there are millions of other videos on TH-cam. Your negative comments are not needed here.

Notes about corrosion and determining polarity, that’s the kind of video I like. Very professional sir!
Thank you
Nice explorer. One quick question have you had any water pump issues on your explorer? I see you have 84k miles on it.

Bigmann, Amazon just delivered the exact same puddle lights for my 2018 flex. Thanks for the informative vid.
Harvey Yarbrough Cool! Glad to help.
I love this led light. I just got me a 2013 FORD F-150 and I’m changing all lights to LED inside too. Next mod is HID headlights.

Awesome video. I just bought these lights off your recommendation. Thanks

Still working good! Happy I upgraded!
Sweet Pebble Time, love that watch
I know. I hated it when they got bought. I thought it was close to a perfect smartwatch.
Great job I want to order them for my 2018 Ford Taurus
I dig the in depth information

No everything is good. I have no canbus errors or bulb out warning lights.
@@bigmann120 thanks buddy for the heads up Going to order mine now

Do these lights stay on while you drive at night with your headlights on?
No but wish they did sometimes.
When I installed mine, instead of fading, they flicker?

Use forscan to bypass it

I feel ya pain bro
Yo how do you remove that corrosion
WD40 and a wire brush for terminals. If the wire is hard, you'll have to change out the terminal and wire.
My puddle light keeps flicker now. I changed it to Red LEDs and whenever the puddle lights come on they flicker red, how do I make them solid instead?

Smoke??
Talk to much. Just show how to do the changeout without excessive commentary.
