I used to play Age of Empires 2 a lot when I was a kid on my father's PC, I was to young to understand mostly any of the advantages and strategy behind each faction. But I do understand the mechanics very well. So now that it's on Xbox I'm ready and excited to get to play it again. And I'm choosing Lithuanias as my first and main faction. Thank you so much for this.
@@ethanpappas2502 nah I don't think they get destroyed by paladin civs, what I feel like is that they kind of suck as an archery civ in imp, since yes they get higher range but lacking thumb ring is a big punch and they also have way too weak light cav to deal with siege, plus they miss bbc. They are slow to roll and surely the best castle age archer civ, but in later stages unless it's bf or something they actually fall off imo (ethiopians arbalest + siege ram is better imo than briton arbs + trebs)
Lithuanians do not have the biggest economy bonus ever but their most important units are all on top of the food chain, and their defensive potential is also huge since they have almost all defensive techs for towers and walls. A very well-rounded cav civ which i grew fond of. I just love fielding +2/3/4 attack Paladins and/or Leitis backed up by some Cav Archers while the Halbs and Skirms keep the enemy busy trying to attack my walls. Lithuanians have all i ever wanted and the things that they're actually missing are not my favourites anyway. Also, as an extra, their architecture style is imo the most beautiful in the game.

I feel that the main turning point for you was when you started making pikeman. The composition was lost if you didn't adapt to it. Upgrading to halbadier was just a bonus.

I think he mentioned it already but he went for a boom after getting that aggressive castle on the hill. If instead he stayed 2 tc and tried to imp quickly he could pressure Heras castle from the hill. With heavy camels earlier. Instead he tried to improve eco behind it with at least 2 new TCs which is a big long term investment.
I think its better to just go for a regular pre mill drush if you plan to drush as liths. You can even go for 21 vil scouts without the drawback of your opponent being fullwalled before a single scout reaches their base.
Do you cosider playing the ps2 version of aoe2 as a challenge? I'm just curious to see a pro player play the game with a controller I think it would be hilarious, for us not for you
what do you do if you play teutons against lithuanians? just feels like lituanians completely negate the biggest bonus teutons have. and i dont think the cheaper farms alone are strong enough to make teutons have a chance
Liths die to halb/siege, and in the early game you can position scouts next to the relics near them to try and deny those. Also don't underestimate the teuton farm bonus, it lets you get farms up insanely fast which gives you a waaaaaaay better eco than liths.
@@jurgnobs1308 Teutons have zero issues going full goth spam on the halbs and there's very little liths can do at that point. Doesn't even matter how well leitis trade vs those, its still a gold unit vs a trash unit.
This content is great, but may I recommend speaking a tiny bit slower? Especially when going through the tech tree, it often sounds like you're running out of breath.
Settling up an investment that would benefit you is something one would be aiming towards. In this case maybe slavs with infantry and siege and Lithuanians with cav/skirm
Nah lithuanians and slavs are both knight civs, in 2v2 you ideally wanna have 1 knight and 1 xbow civ pretty much

Never tested it but I don’t think so. Relic gold generation is not tied to the work rate of the monastery, it’s a separate function I assume
