Be warned that it’s a song full of double entendres as is the norm for songs for the color festival Holi. In fact the song is about an extra marital affair. Once Kishore Kumar passed away, people realized how difficult it is to sing for Big B because Big B has a baritone while most singers have a soft voice. Initially Sudesh bhosle sang few of Big Bs songs like Jumma Chumma but he was a good mimic at best. So he was unable to sing moody emotional songs that well. That’s why directors and composers now prefer Big B to sing his own songs as that is way better than Sudesh Bhosle and because other singers voice don’t suit Big B. That was one of the first Indian films I'd ever seen and I picked it on purpose because I knew Big B was in it.
