I would have put Michelle from Full House on the list instead of Stephanie. Michelle always acted like she was the center of attention just because she was the youngest of her sisters. Whenever they teased her, they got in trouble most of the time because Michelle acted like a little priss when things didn't go her way. Plus, hearing "you got it dude" sounded more irritating than "how rude." Back in the 80's, only surfers were saying "dude" all the time.

There's a difference between Joffrey and the rest of this list. Most of the kids are supposed to be endearing or relatable, but bad acting or bad writing made them annoying. Joffrey is special because it takes brilliant acting to come off as a believable character that people hate that much.
I always thought Dawn from Buffy the Vampire Slayer was obnoxious. Literally all she did was whine and complain about how no one understands her, no one listens to her, no one loves her. Buffy and the gang did nothing but try to keep her safe and how did she repay them? By stealing their stuff and bitching about every little thing she didn't like

Stephanie Tanner was adorable. And she was four years old on a cheesy sitcom. She should not be on this list. Dawn Summers from Buffy should be on the list; she was a petulant, sucky, whiny character who brought down the entire show.

Joffrey wasn't really "annoying" in the sense that most of these other kids were. He was not at all a pointless character, nor was he poorly acted (far from it). His character was nasty and whiny, but he was still intriguing to watch and became essential to the plot line.
Manny from Modern Family should not be on this list. Manny is an adorable character.

Stephanie was fine in Full House. Her character is supposed to be annoying and needy. You needed that kind of kid since the house was full of people. They couldn't all act completely the same.
I agree if any child from Full House belongs on this list it is Kimmie Gibbler since she was annoying on purpose with her constant showing up at the Tanners house all the time, boring everyone with her sordid life details and her disgusting poor hygiene habits.
Also even though I do not watch Modern Family all the time, Manny Delgado seems like an okay kid from what I have seen. I am really surprised Cousin Oliver from the Brady Bunch did not make the list seeing as many people think of him as ruining the show for them.

I think Michelle is more annoying than Stephanie, but then again, everybody in Full House is ubnoxious. The kid from Andy Griffith should of been #1. He is the most annoying character I've seen in any show or movie.
I'm confused as to why Joffrey is #1? According to the video, the qualification was for the character to be pointless. Joffrey is in no way pointless, he's a driving force in the plot. Plus, most of these characters are just poorly conceived characters, Joffrey is a fantastic character. Awful and hated yes, but fantastic all the same. Steve Urkle definitely should have been #1. How he wasn't on the list is amazing.

"It's hard to care about Sally's character when there are so many much more interesting people on the show." Really?? Mad Men had one of the most mundane cast of characters ever put on screen. And Sally wasn't that annoying. Her bratty behavior was completely understandable considering how awful her parents were.

I agree. I found her to be one of the more compelling character, mostly because it was fascinating seeing the product of Don and Betty's parenting grow up over a 10-year period. I especially liked seeing how she ended up getting personality traits from both parents (in the season 7a finale, when she lights up the cigarette, the way how she lights up was Don, whereas the way how she held the cigarette was Betty).

No I love Sally. She’s my absolute favourite character. She’s the perfect representation of the youth in the sixties in contrast to everyone else who just can’t keep up. Also Manny shouldn’t be on this list. Lilly is way more annoying. She’s never happy and is SUCH a drag

To be fair about Joffrey, the actor plays him perfectly. You're suppose to hate his guts with all your heart, and his actor does that perfectly! Yeah, I'll be thanking the old and new gods when he lays dead, but I've got to give his actor credit, as he plays the character perfectly.

I was under the impression this list was for kids who were not suppose to be annoying, but came off that way anyway - up until I saw "King Joffrey". Jack Gleeson is an phenomenal actor. The fact that we can hate him so much is testimony to his superb acting skills... Also, "annoyed" doesn't quite fit the bill: I think we mostly feel anger towards King Joffrey.

Most of them aren't really annoying. Unless you count Hanna Montana everyone on that show was an idiot a jerk or both except Robby Ray and I loved it.
I don't have a particular child in mind but the type of tv kid I hate are the ones who talk and act like adults and the younger they are the more annoying it is.
Addendum: I've found the perfect example of this. I don't know if the eharmony ads runs nationwide or what but there's one here with a blond kid identified as 'Caroline' who on the one hand is spouting off about the service and giving advice to her teacher about his love life while also speaking in a 'cute' baby talk kind of way ("I told him it would never wast"). Makes me want to punch the *bleep* out of her every time. For the record I neither support nor condone child abuse in any way but this kid just bugs me. :)

I don't like this list, they've mixed kids that are annoying because their character was stupid and badly written with characters that were tugging at our nerver because they were meant to be that way. Manny is great BECAUSE of his weirdly mature mannerisms. It's really one of the few good depictions of a "smart kid" on a comedy show.
Shane Botwin wasn't an annoying kid. The first couple seasons he was a misunderstood underdog who was oblivious to his situation who missed his dad more than anything, and as he grew up became a typical funny teen that made the best from his situation

While Joffrey does start out as annoying, with his selfish attitude, as soon as he becomes king he turns from being a snotty little kid into a full blown psychopathic villain. Imagine taking a spoilt immature child, making that child mentally damaged with absolutely no empathy and a lust for inflicting masochistic activities on others, then give him the absolute power of a king. That’s terrifying, there are many villains on the show but Joffrey is perhaps the only one that unites everyone when it comes to “who do you most want to see dead”.
Sansa is definitely a more annoying character (especially in the first season) but it’s hard to hate on her since she’s probably the most tortured character on the show (who’s still alive).

Shane was awesome and my favorite character on Weeds, I thought he was the most interesting and compelling character too watch on the show. Henry and Carl have come a long way since their earlier seasons. Carl has had the biggest character development on TWD along with Carol especially in season 5. Henry has gotten better as well on OUAT especially since he started getting closer to his mom Regina and is one of the few people who believes in her and is trying to help her find her happy ending. Joffory isn't annoying he's just psychotic. Also, I thought Kimmy was way more annoying than Stefanny on Full House.

Ok Number 1 i don't think counts because hes character is meant to be annying. I mean the character was made to be hated wasn't he? So houldn't this list be kids who are annoying because they failed as a character? And Carl in number 2... Ok, i'll agree. In Season 1 i didn't care for him at all. In Season 2 i Noticed the character, but i started hating him because he was a idiot. And he was annoying and he got Dale killed! But in Season 3 he started developing... By the end he wasn't annoying anymore. He was starting to show potential. In Season 4 he actually became a good character. But no matter if he has still been who he was in Season 2 he still don't deserve the number 2 spot since half of the kids on this list are so much more annoying then him. I bet the fact that Carl is still fresh in our minds since hes still alive in a TV series that is still ongoing has something to do whit it. Had the series been 10 years old he wouldn't have been in number 2. I'll bet on that!

Carl is a 12 year old kid growing up in hell on earth, had to watch his mom die,, his dad went crazy for a while, he saw his only other child friend as a walker and get shot in the head, everyone is dying in the group, he's been through more crap than grown men these days, I think he has the right to be a bit stone-hearted.

Henry Mills is one of the most hopeful smart strong willed TV characters on this show. He's struggled so much with his life & he has the most strong beliefs in heart than his family. Emma may be the savior, but it was Henry that brought everyone together to find their happily ever after 😤😤😆😆
The thing about King Joffrey is that he's supposed to be annoying, so being the best at it is a credit to the actor. Also, you totally missed Lisa Simpson (at least in my opinion); I always hated the way she acted like a pretentious, self-righteous know-it-al, constantly forcing her famiy to relinquish success, fortune or just a bit of comfort so she could feel superior (remember when she ruined Homer's chances as a talk show host by making him talk about important issues she cared about, giving a f*** about her father's happiness?).

***** I wouldn't say it's Wil Wheaton's fault at all. I think it's the writer and producer's fault for making that character. From what I've read, Wesley Crusher was supposed to be a younger version of the show's creator, Gene Roddenberry. Plus, Wesley was featured heavily in the first few seasons, which was the peak of his annoyance, and when Roddenberry had the most creative control. So, I don't blame Wheaton, I blame the people that created Wesley Crusher.

half of the comments don't make sense or corroborate with the statement that this list is about pointless kids, because Joffrey, Carl, and Henry for sure are not pointless - Joffrey's unpredictable behavior gave us the death of Ned Stark which defines the whole series, Carl gives us the most drastic example of growth of the survivors as he ages from the annoying little kid to a steady and capable fighter, and without Henry, no one would have ever gotten their happy endings

Henry from OUAT has actually come a long way since Season 1. I agree he was really annoying during the first season, but he got better during Season 2, and even better during Season 3. I'm hoping they develop him even more in the future.
