I'm from U S A , and many years ago i witnessed a sister from my church lift her hands to the sky and command the rain to STOP falling, and immediately the rain stopped and the sun came out so that we could have a cook out outside. as soon as the last person had came inside or gone home, she went back outside and asked the rain to fall, and it came down so hard, i had never seen anything like this before, but it's in the scriptures that God has given people power to rule the elements. If we have faith then God will allow us to do anything that we want to do that is good

My cousin has something like that and he had demonstrated it several times when I was in Nigeria. The most dangerous part of this Yoruba spiritual art is causing a downpour in dry season. It is easy to stop or divert a rainfall to another area than causing a rainfall during dry season. According to my cousin, you need a serious discipline and sacrifice to cause a rainfall in dry season and if you tried it without following the appropriate steps, thunderstorms could kill you.

I studied this in Africa. Our body is over 70% water. When we die most of body, thoughts and nature return to the water. Our minerals return to the soil. We had a video shoot one day and we had already planed and made bookings. My friend showed me that according to the weather forecast it was supposed to be a heavy rainfall by the time of the video shoot all day even. I prayed, and I commanded the rain to not fall until we finished and I told my friend, the rain will not fall until we finish. From later afternoon till about 12am we were shooting and the skies were black and heavy but it never rained. Not even a bit. After the shoot we moved our equipment back to storage and as soon as we got home, such a tremendous downpour of rain began. As if it was angry for being held back.
I am a christian by the way. Na JESUS power I use. GOD had indeed given us dominion on earth.

I witnessed the power to make rain when I was a kid. A man visited my father from a different community. They were getting ready to go somewhere when suddenly the atmosphere started getting dark and the clouds heavy. My dad was getting disappointed that they wouldn't be able to embark on their journey. The guest, Mr. Egwu, he was a medicine man too, told my dad to not worry, that he was going to disperse the rain so they could go on their journey.
He went into the bush behind our our compound, collected some leaves, waved the leaves in the 4 directions of the compass while making some incantations. The clouds dispersed and became bright again. They went on their trip.
While it was a common belief that some bloodline possess the abilities to make rain, this was my first time experiencing it as an eye witness. It was uncanny.

I watched a child talk to God and ask for snow in August,…. The child stood at the window looking and waiting … I started to stay honey it doesn’t snow in the summer he waved me away like he couldn’t be bothered with my doubt he said NO! NO GOD SAID,… and turned his head as if he new right then it was coming….. and as he turned back to look out side I noticed the sky change to a misty glow, the sky’s had been sunny ☀️ with nearly no clouds ,… now a weird glow and then so much hail there was about 4-5 inches on the fence ledge . The child was wearing shorts and a tank top he child got down from the window put his boots on and went out back and played in the snow. He made a snowman ⛄️ and snow angels in the snow. It was the craziest supernatural thing I had seen to that date.

I was born and have lived in London for three quarters of my life, I never believed in this till in my village I saw it with my eyes ,after that a yam festival I went to it was torrential rain but in the compound was dry rain surrounded the compound but not one drop inside,just a pity we refuse to accept God's gift and accept what the white man has brought to us

Where I am from, we also have rain makers for the same purposes, instead of candles we use fire and we fast no drinking water or food while doing it. In the past and to this day to some extent it was like a sport between different weather men of rival villages. I'm from a small island in the Bougainville region of Papua New Guinea which is part of the Solomon Islands geographically. The initiates also can calm strong winds to keep us safe as we travel across the sea to other Islands. It's real.

I was told by a friend that on the day of her wedding (in Port-Harcourt, Nigeria), a rain maker (an old woman) showed up asking for money/food etc. They ignored her and carried on with the ceremony. After threatening to no avail, the rainmaker started crying. As the tears started flowing it started raining. The bride had to climb down her high horse and beg the rainmaker to stop. They gave her the food and other stuff she wanted.
The surprising part was the data-binding/event-listening-handling connection between the rain and the woman's tears. First time I heard of such.
Yes, I am a natural rainmaker. When I was going through a brutal divorce, I walked down the street, crying in public on the sidewalk. It started raining in a couple minutes and I could feel the rain and my tears and the intensity of my emotion making the clouds burst like the tears falling from my face. This is true. I had to learn to be calm so we can have good weather here in my part of the world.

There was a bad native doctor in my mother's village that uses rainfall to punish women during September and October that women brings out their egusi to dry, once he passes the area and sees a lots of egusi under the sun, he forces down the rain to wash a way their egusi seeds, he was a nightmare to women because the moment they sights him passing the area, they start running round to park in their egusi before he gets home.
Who hurt him tho? Why was he given women wotowoto? I am interested in his origin story.
