You are literally remodeling two homes in two different states, running two TH-cam vlogs and a podcast, not to mention you build your cabinets, doors, windows, fixtures, moldings, refrigerator and everything that’s DIY’able. And you do it all with so much grace and patience. While I had to stop by an AutoZone a few weeks ago to bribe a guy there to put on my new license plate on my car for me because I don’t even know how to use a screw driver. You are girl power goals for sure!😘
Today I replaced a shower head by myself and discovered how freaking SIMPLE it was. All I could think about was Macenna and how she will literally jump into any project without fear. “How hard could it be?!” I’ve decided I need to start doing the same!
Love the idea of the fabric covered ottoman versus a coffee table. They are also super baby/toddler friendly because there’s no sharp corners/hard edges
Of course she wouldn't need it but I've seen where they build a larger table across the back of the couch and put chairs at it to eat at while watching tv.
I used to do custom framing and the mat larger at the bottom is called a weighted mat. They did it for art that hung higher on walls so when looking up at it the top and bottom mat look the same size.
MaCenna your print is Stockbridge in Edinburgh Scotland and its known as the water of Leith, that flows through parts of Edinburgh. Good luck with both your beautiful houses, I can’t wait for your mum to start to build her new home. Love from Edinburgh Scotland
That one Victorian painting reminded me of the blindfold game from Sleepy Hollow with Johnny Depp and Christina Ricci. The shelves you decorated for your mom look like a museum!
I think we need your Mama to paint us some baby sheepy scenes with brown and green hills. Dark, moody but delicate like she does. Wouldn't mind some highland cows either 🤣🥰
The painting with the group of people holding hands is a classic. The painter was Francisco Goya, from Spain. He is one of the great painters in history. That painting was from his lighter period. He would paint the royal family or these scenes. His last period was dark and crude, but fascinating. Since your like art, you should look into different artists and periods. I can picture you getting into it!
Your renovations on both homes are helping me & guiding me with choices I'm dealing with tied to my own new home. Your work covers so many broad & deep skillsets...you literally tackle any aspect of home renovation, & not everyone can cover that many construction jobs. Your channels are proving to be the most assistance to the DIY folks & homebuilders/carpenters. I no longer fear taking on home renovation jobs. Thank you. ...BTW. Drew at Lone Fox is another great helpful channel I follow.
Hi Macenna! I'm writting you from Spain, in Europe. That paint they called "Victorian Dancers" is actually called "La gallina ciega" and was painted by Francisco de Goya, one of the most important spanish artist of the late 18th and early 19th centuries :)

I can’t believe your mom would want to move. Her home is Beautiful. MaCenna I will be so happy when you get the kitchen done I can’t wait to see the finished room lol.
You two are clones. So cute. It's one of the loveliest mother-daughter relationships I've ever seen. So wholesome and fun. Does your mother have a painting channel for her art, would love to watch that! 🤎
1st of all, I love Kinsley's hair-do and the donkey was adorable! I don't know how you do all that you do, but I admire it! I love watching both houses, but the cottage is more my style. The floor looks beautiful. I think either a tufted ottoman would look great or you could just build your dream coffee table. I wanted to comment in a previous video when you moved the furniture to seal the floor and you put the dining room table behind the couch. I think that a sofa table would look great there. footed bowl is beautiful. My 1st thought was to put it in the bathroom. You could fill it with a variety of things. It's great to see the bond you and your mom have. Glad you are feeling better!
You and your mom reminded me of my daughter and I, we just love each other and like to go shopping just like you and your Mom. Love, love, your mom 's house maybe you could give us a tour if she would not mind. Her house would be my dream house if you would relocate to Texas... LOL
Hi Maccena! I was watching the video and the picture with the people dancing is actually a carton by Goya, a Spanish painter. If you look for "Gallinita ciega de Goya", you'll find it. It's a carton painted by him in order to make giant wall hanging for the royalty. They are playing a game. Someone have their eyes closed and have to finde the other while they move. Children play that game nowadays but without the spoon. I hope you'll find it interesting. Lot of kisses from Spain. I love your work!
For your coffee table you might consider making your own and mimic your dining table top with the beautiful joints! I also recently saw a coffee table where the legs were basically big dovetail joints. It was so pretty! That might not be as delicate as you envision but it’s possible it might still be very complementary to your house/ style of furnishings.
I like her ottoman example. That room, with the TV, lends itself to lounging. It would upset me (and has) if someone were to place their heavy feet on my nice coffee table.
I just want to say that this channel is getting me through a very rough time in my life....medical issues and such. I look forward to each and every vlog , video, podcast...you name it !! I love the new music in the intro of the vlogs and I swear I hear it in my head at the most ridiculous times of the day. Who does the song ? It's a great choice ! Thanks MaCenna for "All the things" you do to give us a wonderful experience and a wealth of knowledge, it is literally keeping me sane in the hardest of times. Looking forward to watching everything to come.
You are so blessed to have your mom & go shopping & just hang out . My mom & I was the same way , she passed away in 2008 and my heart is broken , she was my best friend & I miss her so bad . We went out every Friday & we had the best fun together. ❤
We all need shopping therapy with your mom 🤗💕great finds and the paneled refrigerator is GORGEOUS, wait till you get that beautiful stove hooked up it’s bring it all together ☺️
I love the way you and your mom get together and just enjoy the time together. The refrigerator looks amazing and can’t wait for y’all to install the stove. 🙏🏾🥰💖💯💫
You're so right, shopping time is very important!! And get in all you can with your mom, shopping with my mom and going to flea markets, thrifting or festivals was one of our favorite things to do together. We had so much fun and I cherish those times and memories, I lost her a little over 4yrs ago. And I'm obsessed with the space you decorated for your mom, its gorgeous and the lighting in it just takes it to another level!!❤
The Jenny that was in with the sheep has a definite purpose. They keep predators of the sheep away from them if they are attacked by wolves or coyote. It was so cute to see the lambs & of course the mule, Jenny. Lorraine
The etching is framed with the golden ratio, which they used to do because traditionally, pictures were hung higher on the wall than today, so having that little bit of extra mat on the bottom made it look nicer.
Shopping day with your Mom? We all need that!😆 I love watching you guys together. Y’all are funny, and you have great taste. I would love to be able to go shopping with you guys.
Jenny was adorable. I loved the flea market shopping wit your mom. MaCenna, I wish you would review all the paint colors in your house and how you chose those colors.
If you listen to the podcast her mom and her discuss the current house and why it isn't really her mom's cup of tea. It's a great episode, so interesting. x
I average 2-3 books a week on my kindle too. I have had mine for two years and still working great. Definitely something wrong with yours. So glad they will cover it for you. Beautiful floors.
MaCenna your refrigerator is everything, the fact you did it all yourself, amazing! I swear you have more hours in your day than I do, you are so productive, I can't even.
You've probably already thought about this (you think of everything!) but on the off chance you haven't, if you found a brass table base you love with glass, you could always remove the glass and replace it with wood so you get the coffee table look you're wanting?
I absolutely love watching you! You are such a joy to watch! You and your Mom have such a cool relationship and little Kinsley is so cute reminds me of my little 3 lb. Maltipoo Sadie! I wait for your videos 💟💟
Would love to know if you can add lights like your moms display cases after they are built or electrical has to be done prior to build completion? I’ve been researching for years but don’t want the puck lights, love her collection on her shelves as well! Beautiful
Are you going to be adding a finishing rail across the top of the wainscoting in your living room? Are you leaving the wainscoting in the wood stain finish, or are you going to be painting them in Pashmina to match your dining room wainscoting? The finished fridge doors are GORGEOUS!
Oh my gosh vlog time yay!!! Can't believe how you are managing two homes in two locations, both are super inspiring. Love the idea of the fabric covered ottoman versus a coffee table. They are also super baby/toddler friendly because there’s no sharp corners/hard edges
I was thinking she could add modern brass legs. I see others do it often enough.
The idea of a console table behind the couch with lamp on top is so nice to define an entryway!

For real!!!
