    Really wish this scoring system could be updated to a displacement or area type measurement. I have a really spindly horned buck on the wall in my shop that scores well, and I have an extremely heavy horned buck i killed hanging next to it that you would swear on your life would score way better but the spindly horned buck has him beat! Where as if it was some sort of an area or displacement measurement the heavy horned buck would score double what that spindly horned buck would! All about a true total amounts of bone on there head rather then a few tape measurements....

    I despise the B&C scoring system. Drying period, and Deductions are B.S. What the deer was while living and breathing should be what the score is. Green Gross score, should be it's official numbers. Only thing I Agree with are having 2 categories. (Typical / Non typical)

    • @zzz7zzz9
      @zzz7zzz9 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I never even thought of it that way before, and you are absolutely right. the "living" animal is the measurement that should count, most definitely. good point.

  • @tylertyler1276
    @tylertyler1276 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    His total score is wrong. The antler they measured is 66 inches. That X2 is 132 inches of antler plus inside spread of 16 6/8 is 148 6/8. The old guy said it grossed 137 and netted 135. With 2 inches of deductions it would be 146 6/8. The antler was as follows:
    24 4/8 main beam.
    4 brown tine
    7 g2
    9 g3
    6 g4
    4 1/8 h1
    3 6/8 h2
    4 h3
    3 3/8 h4
    Equals 66 inches of antler on one side. That times 2 is 132. Plus Inside spread of 16 6/8 is 148 6/8. I do not get the old scorer's logic
