Man that’s some crazy tire wear. My tired just have wear from needing kingpins. But I can feel a pretty good vibration in the steering wheel around 45-55mph. Already did tie rod ends because they were shot but it didn’t really change anything. Checked drag link and I could see the slack when I would rock the wheel back and forth. So I’m about to change it today. Hoping it makes a difference for me. Shocks are also due. I’m learning that letting one failed component go unattended can definitely lead to the demise of another one. My shocks have been bad so long I’m assuming that’s why my leaf hangers needed to be replaced from All the bouncing. That’s why they are called shock ABSORBERS. lol they take all the beating, allowing other component to not have to take it all. Thanks for your video sir

Agreed, also quality of tires and inflation are important. Those cheap ass china tires I had on there sucked

If you don’t have one already, I’d get a 1/2” impact gun like a Milwaukee. Mine saves me a lot of time. I never had anybody teaching me anything about these big rigs so I’ve found myself having to do almost everything the hard way or with tools that nobody would even consider using because I’m usually one tool away from being able to handle it efficiently 😂. So I know all kinds of tips and tricks now because of it. PS, and a Milwaukee grease gun. Makes greasing not as much of a pain in the ass. If you ever come acrosss and grease fitting that doesn’t want to take grease with your gun, I can almost guarantee you that the power of the Milwaukee will push thru the blockage and you’ll be able to grease it without a problem.

600 dollars? That’s expensive. I was able to get a aftermarket for 180 dollars. Good job and safe travels!

Yeah Kenworth has gotten ridiculous. I was just quoted 680 for that part, got it for 180 at Cook Bros. Last week needed to replace a fuel tank cap, KW wants 160! Got it for 18 at Cooks. Kenworth delivered a muffler for my T600, billed me 560. I returned it and got one for 120. This has gotten ridiculous already.

If it twist like that so easily does it mean it’s trash? I just installed one 4 months ago and it’s doing this and steering feels like shit. but you always have some guys saying that’s normal but when i first installed it didn’t move like that either

I figured out min wear was from a tire balance issue. The drag link should provide resistance. If it doesn’t provide any resistance it’s definitely time to replace. The new one was much easier to move than I thought it would be but it was better than the old.
