Was looking into getting the ri1000, then had the idea of using my dtf vinyl instead of a garment in order to work on the hoods, then i stumbled upon this video.. Straight to the point, and very efficient at doing so.!

hey my man i watched a lot of your videos! great content! i have question hope you can help! i hav a ricoh 1000 my self do you know how to retain the true colors when the image is transfer to colorgate? lets say im having trouble with lime green color! the color faded out when i transfer it! thank you in advance
Thanks so much for watching! Super glad you find my content helpful 😁 unfortunately, when converting from RGB to CMYK, the colors get a bit duller. I find increasing vibrancy helps, but to an extent. I have issues with blue lol
Thanks! I'm currently behind an update. Using 22.02. Total for everything I believe was something around 17k during a 4th of July sale. And no, I haven't gotten any plugins for it. I didn't even know there were any!
Lol it was a test but honestly it wasn't that bad! I was surprised at the feel of such a big DTF print. I've done big ones like this using screen print transfers before. I just don't like the look of rasterization to be honest.
With half tones, theres ink in every spot of the image. It's just filled in with a different colored ink to blend in the colors. Where with rasterizing on DTF or white toner, its just holes placed in the print to allow for better washability and to last longer

Direct (pun intended) to the point! Thank you for the info, much appreciated for my own Ri DTG printer use. Been wanting to do DTF for a while.
Glad I could help! 😊 Best of luck!
Great tutorial. Thanks!
Glad you liked it! 😁
What film and powder did you use for the prints??

Hey did you ever make the video on cost calculation?
Cost calculation on what exactly? Sorry I have a few. One for vinyl and one for promos. Also another one for screen print transfers
@@NekoPrints No how to set up color gate to calculate how much each shirts costs to print
@@ErykahHarvey No! Now that you mention that, I totally forgot about that! I'll look into it this week :)
@@NekoPrints Thank you! I have been wanting to know how for a while
Nice video
Thanks for watching!
Great video, what version of colour gate are you using? how much did it cost? and did you need to purchase any of its plug ins?

Do you still pretreat your shirts with DTF?
No there's no need! Only pretreat for dtg
Is dtf ink the same as dtg ink? Good video btw
Thank you!
I can't speak for dtg and Dtf ink as a whole, but for some DTG printers, yes. Mine uses the same ink for both dtg and Dtf.
Without rasterizing that.. it’s gonna feel like a bin bag on the shirt.

@@NekoPrints I agree there it don’t look the best with the holes or dots. Screen print uses halftones but it looks better ???
