    Don't drink the tap water at Rutgers. New Brunswick's water has an insane amount of lead and heavy metals in it.

      Yeah its probably not a great idea- thanks for the heads up. I do filter it although the Brita filters are pretty ineffective with some contaminants

      Same for anyone who has pets that lives in New Brunswick - don’t drink the New Brunswick water. Air pollution levels are also always in the redline for New Brunswick/Rutgers area.

      Does Brita successfully filter more than 90% of the heavy metals? I know it filters out led but I am concerned about the other stuff.

      @@cloudlie3338 Nope, Brita doesn't filter out heavy metals. You need a Zero Water filter

      TheKiteleTV I got most of them from the bookstore on College Ave. (they’ll price match anything you find online) however I try to buy used first and get whatever books I can from friends who have already taken the classes

    Hey man, awesome vlogs!!
    Wanted to ask you if downtown New Brunswick is safe and if college ave is safe.
    thanks

    • @AaronBurt
      @AaronBurt  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Adrian, thanks alot! I'm glad you enjoy the vlogs. College Ave is very safe all the time. The same goes for most of New Brunswick such as the Easton Ave area (caters to students with bars, food and convenience stores). The only place that gets a little sketchy late at night is down George Street. Even there you should be ok. It's always best to avoid walking alone at night though and to pay attention to your surroundings as NB is a city (its a good idea to lock your bike up, don't leave valuables unattended etc.)

      Stay off the side roads winding off George street if you explore downtown at night. There’s always a new crime alert every week about a stabbing or robbery :( Livingston ave, Suydam street, French street don’t wanna be around there

    do you get your own bathroom or are there communal?

    • @AaronBurt
      @AaronBurt  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Most of the dorms have communal bathrooms. If you're in a suite or apartment you'll have your own for your room but that's usually only an option for upperclassmen.

    How hard would it be to switch from a first year business student at RBS to the computer science department as a comp. sci. major?

    • @AaronBurt
      @AaronBurt  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I switched my academic program after a full year in the business school (finance to pre-med) and so far it hasn't been that difficult. All you have to do is submit a school to school transfer. I believe Comp Sci is in SAS so you would switch schools from RBS to SASand declare a comp sci major. If you're unsure if that is what you want to do though you can always take a comp sci course while still in RBS and then switch if you enjoy it or do well in it. If you've been thinking about it and would be happier doing computer science, I would say you should 100% go for it. You can always make up credits over summer or winter session if necessary. Hopefully that helps.
