The book was so much better, he wasn't such a jerk, he left when they were in college, not even engaged and he tried to talk to her before he left to pursue his music dreams and she didnt take it seriously and told him just to sleep on it before i dropped out of college and he took that as she wouldnt support him. His managers got Josie's message about the baby and just ignored it, assume she was a crazy fan. He was never that arrogant when he came back home. Josie did move on, not just wait for him, and he had to work a lot harder to earn the right to be a dad and win her back.

The book this movie was based off of had her in a long term relationship. I want to say 6 years, but I could be wrong. Instead they replaced her boyfriend with her jackass brother-that didn’t exist in the book.

I watched this movie years back and the young me didn't see anything wrong with it but definitely not the matured me. Liam is irresponsible no doubt. He's proven to be indecisive and easily swayed. If his manager didn't convince him to go back, he would have left the mother and daughter for the second time. There's nothing admirable about it and there's no excuse to leave a woman on the alter. He wouldn't have proposed if he hasn't healed.

Ladies who are complaining that the actor abondoned the actress on their wedding. Did you'll listen very carefully why he was doing that. In the end when he finally gave a reply to thst voice note after 8 years, he said that his mother was his love of his life and then Jose came n when his mother died, he felt that losing Jose would be like losing his mother n also when the actor was drunk after his daughter was saved by Jake, while the father-son duo opened about why father overlooked his son's feelings after his wife died and why son pushed away everyone n thought that fame n money would heal his deep trauma from his childhood but it didn't worked. You ladies can say whatever you have to say about that actors actions but you'll wouldn't go deep into why he's doing that to himself. Sometimes, the trauma caused is way more bigger n huge that a person can never recover from it in his entire lifetime n suffers till his death, though he/she might have everything but it's the trauma that causes them to never heal themselves. Yes, actor slept with everyother girl but his heart was always with Jose n no one else before he found out about his daughter. So, ladies understand that you'll always think from a women's perspective but if you'll ever think from a man's perspective then you'll see how much damage it causes to you mentally, physically n others and vise versa also 🙏

Clicked on this under my recommendations. Reason: because the title of this recap is the same as what Im experiencing now. The difference is that the man I love went MIA because he wanted to focus into his new set dreams and goals. I waited and hoped till he told me he doesnt see my relevance and so I bid him goodbye but he wouldnt let go and why he wouldnt. It was easy at first when he first said that. The following days I was numb then I longed for him. Now he is denying he ever said that I wasnt important in his life. All I ever wanted is him. Wow, so many perfect women here, free from any mistakes or immaturity. They must think they're God, apparently, since they're perfect and cannot admit to a single mistake. Liam was a jerk, but he was young and still grieving. What he did was awful, but the book the movie is based on, and the movie itself, is absolutely beautiful. It's sweet how Liam matures and gradually falls in love with his daughter. The only 'unforgivable' thing for me was Josie hiding their child out of spite, but even then, they both grow up together throughout the story. This book is just soo wonderful, one of my all-time favorites!
