This week we are back.
Sorry we couldn't upload last week for personal and also technical reason.
In this episode we are spending our last days in Uzbekistan.
First in Tashkent then towards Est to the border of Kyrgyzstan.
We spent time with Mathieu, Juliette and their daughters Suanne and Ona. We had fun on a defender convoi.
Looking for diesel was a big mission.
And an unforgettable time shared with an Uzbek family in the country side.

A heartwarming episode - and another look at the simple lives other people are leading, while we whinge about so much silly stuff in wealthier nations.
So very true mate, it's so humbling to spend time with so many amazing people who change the way that you view the world.
We arrived on their doorstep with nowhere to stay.
They welcomed us like family with absolutely no mistrust or suspicion.
We will never forget that night.

Guys you are awesome 😊 spending time at places where time is not known and relative. With people appreciating life in the most human way. Our western society is daring to see themselves as developed but in fact we have developed in strange directions, taking too much for granted and having weird imaginations of a good life. The more time we spend with families and communities such as these it makes us realise that as a Western culture maybe we have lost our way and gone completely in the wrong direction.
I feel like I am receiving a whole new type of education in life 😉
I think the biggest lesson we are learning is the value Western society places on material possessions and that these possessions do not necessarily lead to a fulfilling life...
Leigh Dearle yes, I totally agree:) I think it's the other way round, the less you have, the more space is left in your inside to fill with valuable experiences and broaden your mind and horizon. If you're too busy caring about your materialistic stuff and purchasing literally stuff you actually don't need, your mind can't realize what it really needs. That's a big lesson I have learned and now we sell all our stuff (and mate, one owns so much stuff) or give it away and it freakin frees you from the inside and your mindset changes enormously. Incredible mate:) really happy for you, that you experience the same "lesson" that life "teaches" to people who dare to open their mindset :) greetings from frickin cold Nuremberg:) Nino

The pursuit of diesel fill up, even here Stateside can be challenging...add to that the complexity of modern engines....give me 1970-80's carburated Ford 300 six!

Complete strangers taking us into their homes like family, no language to communicate but none of that mattered.

One question if you don't mind please, on 4 minute mark you are packing an air compressor, can you tell me which model is that? Hard to find a good compressor in Croatia, and wife and I just bought a 4x4 not long ago, so we're new to all this :) Love your videos so much, just found the channel 3 days ago, watched every episode, and won't stop watching for sure! The compressor is an ARB twin cylinder compressor.
It's the best unit I've ever owned.
They also do a single cylinder unit which is a bit cheaper.

Thank you for the message. It's hard to found diesel in Uzbekistan because the country runs on gas. Propane , methane ... even the trucks. The country produces gas. Where are you from in Oz ?? The next video will be one tomorrow.

Thanks again Larry. We have the standard 2.4 Ford tdci duratorque engine.
We have had the engine remapped, upgraded to larger intercooler and upgraded turbo to give us quite a bit more power and torque than standard.
We are planning to ship the truck from Japan to North America next year so please keep in touch.

You can find everything in black market! Majority of vehicles are work with gas and petrol that's why at gas stations it's hard to find!
why you didn't add 1 litre of petrol to prevent freezing?

They were mates, for the little girl she didn't own any toys so the kitten was her playmate 😊
