This is maybe silly, but I get so proud when I watch Rasmus live. He used to lead sing in my band in high school. Even then he was in another league. I’m a music teacher now and he’s a freaking rockstar. GJ Ras.

Diamond Head was an incredible band back in the day. They and Angel Witch were every bit as good as Iron Maiden. Bad management and decisions derailed these bands and they basically disappeared. True metalheads such as myself never gave up on them. There are so many bands like them that have been forgotten. The best band of them all is RIOT. They are incredible.

Rasmus is one of the most underrated and greatest vocalists in metal history. His voice added new dimensions to DH that neither they nor the fans new existed before he joined.
This band is so damn good.

This album is the essence of Heavy Metal.
Brian is such a great guitarist and songwriter and a nice bloke into the bargain. He’s found a great vocalist here. It’s about time Diamond Head had some long overdue success. One of the great mysteries is why Diamond Head were never massive? They should’ve been in the same league as Iron Maiden.
Bad management is all I can think of cos on talent they fucking slay hard!

Most underrated song on this, is Set My Soul On Fire. If it was played by any of the top Thrash metal acts it would have become a massive hit. Awesome band, pioneers and fanfuckintastic musicians. Even if not the original lineup they have cemented their status as one of the best ever heavy rock/metal bands. About time they got some recognition!
One of my favorite hard/metal band ever. This line up is as big as the first one. Brian Tatler is the riff master and Rasmus Bom Andersen is the worthy heir of Sean Harris. The last two albums with Rasmus are amazing.
I had the pleasure of watching D.H supporting Saxon in York.Still got it in spades ,great show.
This band was Dave Mustaine 's biggest influence, without Diamond Head there is not Metallica and Megadeth.

Everyone should thanks Brian Tatler for his music. Diamond Head were one of the bands of the new wave of British heavy metal, and theirs influence on Hetfield music and his riffs is unbelievable. Hetfield love this guys and Tatler himself said "thank you Metallica" because of Metallica appreciation of his music and because Metallica expand the Diamond Head name.
Metallica made them very wealthy just with Garage Days album sales

I think you are right - and have you seen BLACKMORE trying to please the crowd recently. Diamond Head are ten times tighter and Tatler can still play really well despite nearly being a pensioner.

yup!!! you can tell he has Ritchie Blackmores sound. so ya Rainbow and Deep Purple influenced them for sure. even for the singing!! haha everyone plays like there Idols.
I’m so glad that Brian Tatler reconstructed the band and rearranged some members in the band since I saw them at BB kings bar & grill in New York ,This band closely lives up to the original line-up.

At first I was disappointed to see Sean Harris missing here. However few minutes into the set the singer convinced me he is indeed the perfect replacement for him. What a powerhouse band. I've always loved Diamond Head for their iconic riffs. Watching this concert my respect for them has grown a thousandfold. They sure know how to 'deliver the goods' with some sweet old riffs and thundering drums even today. The singer has done a fantastic job here filling in for Harris. Diamond Head absolutely fucking rocks!

I have loved Diamond Head since I was 14 and they had just brought out their limited edition album. only 200 copies made. I got to see them at Glasgow Apollo in '82, which was one of the best gigs I have ever been to. They did about 5 encores. The last one was after the lights had gone up. What a night. Brian Tatler has managed to bring together a super collection of musicians to make this latest version and they are incredible live. Brian Tatler is a legend and Rasmus is a fantastic frontman!

The last time I saw the Headies was at Gaia Metal Fest in Pozal de Gallinas ( Castilla y León,Spain,Europe,The World ) this year..Was Great ..The concert and the Band ..So Great and So Nice all of them ..Brian Tatler in special !!! Seems a bit weird that the singer wasn't even born when the band started out . Got to say , though he`s pretty damn good and a similar style to Sean Harris .

saw this band 1982 /83 with a boyfriend who got me into led zep etc music his nane was dave green i remember most lead singer throwing out the drumsticks at the end we caught one and nearly got trampled on still like the music today good music lasts////

I discovered a whole array of bands through Metallica (e.g., Discharge, Blitzkrieg, Diamond Head, Venom, Holocaust, Charged GBH and Mercyful Fate).
One of the many reasons that Metallica is the most important metal band.
Gotta say they surprised me a little bit, they sound pretty damn cool. The vocalist is great.
Call me crazy but they may just make the best music comeback of all time. They stuck at it fair play to them and they are due some serious success now. Go get it Brian and the boys! Because the super group they should have always been.
Fucking awesome sounds as fresh today as when I saw them back in the day.
And that was their first ever Uk tour supported everyone after that.

Bullshit. But they did do some really good versions of their songs.
As someone who plays metallica riffs AND diamond head riffs, yes, it's very well transformed by james and mustaine, but I it see more on the early dayz stuff.
Art is transformation, DH influence is on some but not all of kill 'em all songs, you may not agree, but it is there, in the riffs, it is influence, not a copy, transformation, that is pure.
If you haven't played Lightning to the Nations and Kill 'em all, you will not be able to tell.
I've been listening to Diamond Head since 1982 when I bought the 'Four Cuts' EP. They've have always been a great band and but for a pressing issue on their Canterbury album may have gone on to be a much bigger and more widely appreciated band. Great to se them still gigging and recording. Looking forward very much to the Nov 2020 re-release of the re-recorded 'White Album'.
A little known fact...former DH rhythm guitarist Rob Mill used to be our window cleaner. At that time he was also playing in local RHCP tribute band 'Hot Red Chilli Peppers' and went on to form Muse tribute band 'Muse Inc' with my wife's cousins on drums & bass. Small world huh! :)

The ONLY band that i ever joined the official fanclub of (way back in 1983). I saw the band twice, in '83 and again in '84, and i'm so pleased to say that my mate and i have tickets to see the guys next month, on their uk tour. Erm, 'Can't fuckin' wait!' comes to mind!! I just wanna add, with all due respect to ALL members past and present: RIP Robbie France - we ain't forgotten... \m/
