The moment you "need" a specific operator is the instant you have lost the will of the gatcha. I am a firm believer the most valuable resource in arknights is patience and not worrying about getting everything right away.
@@MilanNikolic96 is it even possible as f2p player to save up 300 pulls between limited banners? idk but since nearl alter banner i was saving up for ling banner (not missing dailies,weeklies etc at all) and i only saved about 140 or so pulls (and ofc didnt get any of limited operators but got 6 other 6* kms). am i missing something?
This reminds me of the memory with Ch'en alter's banner. One of my friends came primarily for Mizuki but ended up getting pot 2-3 Ch'en with Mizuki arriving on the very last minute. He saved hundreds of pulls beforehand for him, nearly 200 not counting the shop restock and such. I came for both of them, I got a single Ch'en after nearly 120 pulls including the shop restock permits with several offbanners like Eyja and a pots. Never got Mizuki. Although, I feel far less pity for my other friend who never saves (he only had around 20 pulls) and fully expected to get a Ch'en and called the game shitty for not doing so. Good times...?
This was spot on my experience I went into the banner owning Just phantom and wanted all 3 others (Surtr/Schwarz the most) Ended up getting 2 sagas at 50 and 100 pulls, a phantom at 140 and surtr finally at 190 and got 0 schwarz. Arknights Gacha truly can be relentless
I know arknights has decent 6 star rate, but it also has the best greed sensor when it comes to specific operators. Last time I wanted a Nian, i spent 200 pulls for nothing. Just empty your brain, listen to your own breathing until you can actually press the "roll" button without thinking about the operator. Got surtr on 30 pulls his way. Bless you kukki

Upon entering my base and hearing Nearl Alter's voice in the reception room always gives me war flashbacks. I lost to her banner 5 times and I will forever be salty.
Speaks my experience on this game with all limited banners First I participated and got 6* is dusk And got a saga Second was skalter Wanted skalter so bad. Got eyja and kaltist Third was Chen alter I got 2 mizukis and a kaltist Ntr was most painful one for me I got 2 flame tails then my friend felt bad about it and decided to help with like 70 pulls He got 3 flame tails and fartooth In total of all banners Around 450 pulls total 12 6* Not a single one of them limited Yea game do be harsh sometimes Hopefully I get different ending on ling, do not with that for any other doktah
I'm sending you lots of positive energy and good luck. I hope you finally get a limited Operator! As the person above me said, if you're having such a bad luck streak, consider skipping some banners to save up to 300 pulls. You'll guarantee a limited operator with that amount.
My worst experience with the gacha was Mountain's rerun banner. 170+ pulls and no Mountain. I was legit crying so hard and I nearly quit the game because of that.
This really hit home, my pulls on Chalter banner were easily one of my worst experiences in this game, sadly. I went in 190-ish pulls and I got POT 5 MIZUKI and a Passenger, not a single Chalter. I've never been so heartbroken in a gacha game before and it truly showed how merciless AK gacha can be. Sure the rates aren't bad, but the fact we don't have a guaranteed pull (unless it's 300 pulls in limited banners) really really hurts some people, and it happens more often than we think.
I think my worst banner experience ever in Arknights was Archetto's banner. I had pretty much gotten constant, continuous off-banners in a row until finally, Archetto drunkenly stumbled her way into the base via pity. No limited banner has ever hurt me as much as Cheeto's, in recent memory.
same... i spent £100 or more and got 5 6*s off banner... even a schwarz dupe..... this was her original banner too. I ended up buying her with the selector...

The desire sensor is so cruel sometimes. I remember how desperate i was when pulling for thorns on his rerun banner, i just keep pulling and pulling until i realized that my OP stash (100+) is empty
yeah i want thorns and surtr but i didn't get it till now only way that's i buy on shop later. I spend 240 pull on nearl NTR banner hope get some new operator and didn't, i get NTR 6 pot, and get flametail on 240 pulls.
The worst gacha experience that I had was W banner with 120 pulls with 1 Weedy, 1 Phantom, and 1 Elysium (pot1 since then until now)... And some rate-off *5 of course (3~5 *5 IIRC).. But I'm gonna put it here... I don't think AK have the best gacha system, but I will ALWAYS say that AK have a decent gacha system and not a bad one. Why? Because since I was a child I already got used to something bad/not perfect (probably because our family was poor and I can't get anything I wanted), so I can appreciate almost every little things that even people hate. So when you guys said AK gacha system is so bad, I can't agree with that. But of course it brokes my heart if I can't get Ops that I wanted, but I always knew that I can't have every good things in life. It's all about how you view things actually. Good pulls, I guess. You got 5 *6 and that's nice for my standard. I mean, it's not rare for me to reach 70/80 just to get pity.

There is a 99.844 % chance of getting a 6 star by the 70th pull due to how the pity system works, so only a few arknights users will ever reach pull 70. Exponentially lower chance for that to happen twice. And for pull 80... the chance of getting a 6 star goes up to 99.999924% you have a higher chance of getting killed by lighting. Not saying it can't happen but saying its not rare is a bit of a stretch.

But idk if that's 100% accurate just like the game itself. But I'll tell you, even if I reached 70 pity, I had around 40% rate to get a *6 and I'm not even surprised if I can't get a *6 with that percentage. And I'm not miscounted, because I know I reached 45~50 rolls, and then did 3 multis to got the *6. Saying it's not rare is a bit of a stretch, probably yeah, but it's more than once this s#!t happened to me.

"because I know I reached 45~50 rolls" See here just a difference of 5 pulls make an astronomical difference once you hit 60+ pulls. So or statisticians are wrong or its a human error so i'll go with the latter. Sure you might be the one in a million user to hit 70 pulls twice which again is very unlikely but that's it. The chance is so low it shouldn't be considered by any users. Like kukkikaze said with the pity system you get on average a 6* every 30 pulls so not too shabby IMO.
Whenever I read some comments that really want to paint AK's gacha as horrible (well, it is objectively okay, but definitely not horrible), I just let them compare it to F/GO
@@Vindicee AK gacha can be real real bad when it happens, but you don't experience it consecutively most of the time which is quite a feat imo, FGO is like walking on sheer luck on every banner, you lose alot yet gain so little, my worst experience was with Melusine banner, spent almost 200 and got spooked by rateoff
For reference, the chances of none of the 5 6-stars being a Surtr is only 0.75^5 = 23.7% So the chance of getting at least 1 Surtr in 5 6-stars was 1 - 0.75^5 = 76.2% very very unlucky. I think the chance of exactly 3 phantoms is 5! * 3^2 / 3! / 2 / 4^5 = 8.789% so more likely than you'd think.

I had experienced my worst Gacha in this game, and that was from the first Mountain banner. Drained all of my orundums and tickets to get him, and i did in my last pull. I'll never forget about it
To be honest, it will be better if we can also buy them at the shop around 100-150 currency without converting it with another currency unlike in Limited banners or even better if the first 6* operator that we can get in pity is the guaranteed 6* operator that we can choose. Sometimes getting a specific 6* operators are harder than getting a limited operator since there are no guarantee that you will get them especially if you don't have enough luck.
An important note is that joint operation is only better than standard headhunting if you want 3 or more of the 6 stars. This is because on joint operation each 6 star is 25% chance. On a regular banner the odds are 25% for each of the rate up's and 50% for a random 6 star. Therefore joint operations is only worth pulling on if you want at least 3 of the units on the banner. Statistacally pulling on any banner other than limited banners is a pretty risky proposition unless your willing to pay the price. The safest way to get a 6 star if you only want to spend a little bit is the to buy a selector ticket and select the 6 star if you don't get them off banner on limited pulls.
As a newbie, I was hoping for Schwartz to pair up with Exusia, and didn’t get her for any of my rolls. Granted, it was in total around 20 rolls since I didn’t have much. I was so disappointed when I got Surtr since I did not know who she was lol. Now I am pretty happy :D
I do agree that arknights is a bit ruthless when it comes to that specific operator if you're unlucky, but I don't think joint operation is a good example when aiming for specific operator considering it has the lowest rate up for the specific one 6*, the banner isn't even meant for this to begin with, any other type of banners have higher single operator rates
Basically this, you should pull on joint operations if you want at least 2, preferably 3 or all, of the available 6 star operators. Hoping for a specific one isn't too likely, so I'm not surprised at this person's outcome : (

I feel bad for the person, i got surtr in only 14 pulls while he has to do lots and not a single surtr. It was very kind of kukki to spend some money on the person's account and the viewers that joined in praying. Hoping and praying they will soon get their beloved surtr 🤲🛐
its just like you said, getting 6* in this game is easy but getting the specific 6* more often than not, is really hard even on rate up. My worst experience is that i pulled 317 total in Skalter banner, yet i didnt get Skalter. I had to spark her. However, because of how the gacha system works, often times you get spooked by a new 6* you dont have yet. Granted that this will goes rarer the more you obtained those 6*s. the other good part is that almost no 6* in this game is bad. "Bad" as in they offers little to none to your struggle to clear a stage.
I had a fairly similar experience with Dusk’s banner. I aimed for 1 saga and save the rest for R6. I ended up pulling nearly 300 times to end up with max pot Dusk and 3 off banners. When the R6 banner came I had to pull until the guaranteed 120 for Ash, best part about this experience is that the first 6* I got was saga. After spending that much on her featured banner. This proved to me Arknights gacha can be a cold mistress and a forgiving one.
Another game I play has a build-a-banner every so often (2x a year about). On this banner you have 2 characters with 40% chance each and 20% for off banner. You can select which characters you want on the banner, and also reset the characters 2 times if you get one of them. If Arknights had a similar banner this may help. I know the standard banners are somewhat similar to this but being able to pick the character really is helpful because so often they have a bad character with the good one you want. With Arknights it would make sense to make the rate up 5 stars also up to your personal selection. I want Mudrock and Kal'tsit myself and for 5 stars I would probable just use it to fill holes in my roster.
Just like me where i did 110 pulls on Near Alter banner and still i haven't got her. This is the reason why gacha sometimes can be cruel at times cause it's not perfect. The lesson here is when you want to play a gacha games and try to summon someone or items like that. Just prepare cause you won't know when will this incident happen to you.
My worst gacha exp in Arknights was during Blaze's first release. Got dupes and off banner ops, I spent like 80k. Eventually got her when she appeared in the shop. And my best one was Kal'tsit and Skalter banner, got both within 40pulls. I also never experienced a double 6* in one bag, only back to backs.
I am pretty sure most of the pull stream/video I had seen and feedback from players is that JO5 banner is actually a bait, not because the banner is bad by itself, but rather people keep getting operators they do not desired, and also the expectation rate for 6 stars (around 34 pulls) is way lower for the first couple tens of pulls. My personal experience for JO5 is making 80 to 85 pulls and got like 2 6 stars, first being surtr dupe and last being saga. This is actually bad when I only have one out of four operators and I not only got a dupe but also went above the standard expectation rate. kukki in this video also suffering similar fate: he went short in the beginning and only even out at the end of the pulls, calling it for the day with a total of 182 pulls, getting 5 6 stars operators, 2 schwarz and 3 phantom, and also 16 5 stars operators, being 2 april 1 ayerscarpe 3 beeswax 6 flint 1 iris and 3 meteorite.
I've been playing this game since the Nian banner in 2020. I think the most I've ever rolled for an operator was for W during the anniversary, which was 122 pulls, then again for Ash during the R6 crossover, which was around 120 pulls too. Other than that, I've never pulled more than 50 or 60 times (and that's including free pulls during limited events). I'm almost completely f2p (minus the 5 dollar monthly card and one six star voucher during the W event). Just by buying tickets from the yellow shop and doing the weekly Orundum battles, I've amassed 42 six star operators in under 2 years. And after rolling on this banner, I got Surtr on my first ten roll no problem. In terms of fairness, my experience has been down right charitable. P.S. I realize this post might come across as arrogant or self absorbed or whatever, but I just wanted to share my experience with this game since most videos on TH-cam seem to highlight the most unfortunate gacha experiences players have. For newer players, stuff like this does happen, but equally likely, you can take your favorite operators home more often than not. Just be patient and have fun.
Started AK in the 2nd week of its released, PURE F2P. 186 out of 210 ops (36 diff 6 stars unit, not dupes). So far worst banner is Nian (200pulls) and NTR(220pulls). But i do have all Limited Ops and rn have 450pulls in bank saving for future banners, so cant really complain too much about my luck.
i think i can relate, i spend about 60 on every banner that was thorns in it, but i just got thorn on last thorns's rerun banner. i think it took at least 240 pulls to get 1 specific non limited character if the account was hated by oprator that we look for. but it doesnt count with limited character, remmember! theres ppl that LITERALY NEED TO BUY WITH SPARK SYSTEM TO GET JUST 1! on somecase even worse, 2 yrs of monthly (about 1yr doing oru farming) and rosmontis never appear on my bag.
It was lucky for me to get Radiant Nearl after 150 pulls. I had to use all my saved up orandums. I with the pity system needed you to pull like 150/200 times like other games instead of 300. No too mad tho as it’s still a great f2p game with decent drop rates for 6* units.
This reminded me of a certain "make your own banner" thing, where you can choose which ops to be featured as rate ups. Quite cool thing. And I thought trying to pull on joint banner will be easier like how I got my Bagpipe, but no, Phantom is still dodging me to this day
I've yet to get Dusk and Rosmantis, and I pulled on each of their banners 160+ times. That said, I still like Arknights because they provide me with so many free pulling opportunities, and I don't feel especially pressured to buy (at least not until I accidentally click on Closure's purchase screen). I'm free-to-play, so I just sigh and move on if I don't get my girls. At this point, I have a pretty strong team, so I don't feel near as hopeless as when I first started out.
This banner is one of the worst kinds to get a specific character though... it is designed to get 1 of the 4, these banners are for a general good unit. Arknights gacha certainly isn't perfect and it would be good to have some sort of guarantee of an operator, but that would be more relevant on a solo character banner. If the gacha in Arknights improved I certainly wouldn't complain, but generally I think it is really good if you are patient. The W/Weedy banner is the worst I ever had, over 250+, and didn't get either character. Got like 3 Shinings lol, and had her before that already. I can't remember what other 6 stars I got, but honestly nothing very impressive. I finally got Weedy from the Yellow Certificicate shop recently, but W has still evaded me more than a year later. Limited Operators long-term are pretty tough to get, and probably my main issue with the Gacha in Arknights.
Yeah it takes a special type of masochist to try to snipe one unit from a 1/4 chance banner. You should only pull on those if all or most of the characters are desirable. would've been more reasonable to pull her from a banner with two featured 6 stars.

Man it really makes me feel soo bad seeing people pulling for a specific 6 star on their rate up banner, and yet I got that 6 star from a rate off like I got my Surtr from a standard banner when trying to get Exusiai
The thing is, Joint Ops banners are just bait banners, it's those single 6* Ops banners that are the near perfect types, since the 2nd pity rate up is guaranteed to be whoever is on rate up, Joint Ops have multiple Ops, so it just splits 50/50 or whatever ratio between the rate ups, which lowers your chance of the one you want exponentially
Arknights doesn't have guaranteed rate-ups, except the limited banners 300 pulls shop and Ash 120. Source - I pulled 6 off-banner dupes before getting Saileach on her original banner :>

I splurged a little of my hard earned orundum on the Joint banner gunning for Saga and I pulled Surtr, so I stopped. I got a little bit sad, being just a humble goldfish as well, so seeing this, is like suffering through proxy. Gacha is weird man. P:S: OK Uncle, you have no right to be this wholesome. The worst gacha experience I got is in Nearl Alter banner when I was aiming for 300 pull to get W But ofc it's W in Nearl Alter banner the chance is impossible low so I need to prepared for the worst fortunately I reach my 300 pull in the last day of the banner As a Player I was blessed by Goddess of Fortune in my Gacha Games history even my Friend called me as "Fragrant Hand" and ask me to pull for them sometimes, see this just make my heart ripped apart how come an account have this much bad luck like a curse was attached to it Hope the person was blessed by Goddess of Fortune in the future
Problem with arknights gacha is that it lacks consistency. Higher base chances means nothing if you are unable to gurantee the operator you are pulling for. And even on cases when you can (limited banners) you need to save for more than 7 months non stop to actually do it. Genshin,honkai,pgr and blue archive has lower chances than arknights but what makes them goodis that you are actually able to gurantee the operator you are pulling for not to mention only extremely small amount of gacha games tend to put double rate up in same banner wich arknights sadly is a part of. Yes genshin base chances are terrible but then you realize you only need 2.5 months to get a guranteed character and 5 months to gurantee the character and its weapon while you need 7 months for a single limited unit on arknights. Its a TERRIBLE system in my opinion and seriously needs a change. Espiecelly for new players because its hard to justify telling anyone to pull for any standart banner only banners that are worth actually pulling for are limited,joint op and "New year??" Banners wich only limited one gurantees (at some point) you are getting the operator you want. I just find it weird that Ash, a collab character had a way better banner than any banner this game has ever released.
Except that's what precisely differentiate AK's gacha from those others that you said. AK's gacha is "generous" in terms of how many 6* you can obtain within a number of pulls but there's no guarantee that it'd be who you want. Those other gacha (Genshin, PGR, BA, etc) is "generous" in terms that you have a guarantee to get the one you want. The problem with Genshin, PGR, BA gacha is that they can drop the chance to be as low as possible and still getaway with it just because there's a "guarantee" system (Remember that PGR and Genshin gacha chance is below 1%). For those kind of games, you can do a stupid high amount of pull and get absolutely nothing at all without relying on the guarantee. My issue with those kind of games is that you can technically throw out the "luck" factor (which is the main point of a gacha) and just play it around with money since you can technically "buy" the character you want if you have enough money. This means IF the games have PvP mode, the gap between whales and f2p/casual player become exceedingly large, just because the whales don't need to rely on their own luck and just need to rely on their money instead. In my opinion, the real issue is that gacha players nowadays are getting too used to having a guarantee system in their gacha. They don't want to rely on their own luck and just simply want easier time using guarantee system, as if they're trying to make a justification at their own spending without wanting to accept the fact that what they did is gambling in the first place. Edit: In simpler terms, gacha with guarantee system like Genshin, PGR, and BA promotes spending just the same as how much they promotes saving since the amount of currency you have decided the result of your pulls. Gacha games like AK doesn't promote anything whether it's spending nor saving. Your result depends on your luck instead.

Guarantee system kills this need of luck as it changed it from "luck required" into "x amount of currency required" to obtain what you want. Is this good? Yes. Is this bad? Also yes. Why? Because it feeds on the urge of people with gambling addiction. It promotes spending for those kind of people because now they think they just need to spend certain amount of money to obtain what they want. Does it lower spending? Yes since now the ceiling for the amount of money needed falls down tremendously. Does it promote spending? Also yes if the person can't resist the urge to gamble/obtain that certain character. I understand what you meant by lowering spending, but those only applied to people that normally spend money anyway. For those that is usually f2p, there's more chance for them to start spending money just for the reason "to get what they want" (and who knows that this will be the spark that will changed their status into "whale" instead). On AK you said that you need to saved up for 7 months to obtain a limited ops. While this is true, does getting this limited ops is a must? Does the game forced you to save for limited banner? Answer is no. You don't need to do that. The guaranteed 300 spark in AK limited isn't meant for normal players anyway. It has and always meant for the whales. Why do they do this for the whales? To avoid "monkeygate" from happening again. If you don't know what that is, go and google it. It basically what happened to a GBF whale in the past where they spent shitton of money and didn't get certain chara that they want. This incident birth the spark system and later on pity system on gacha games. Lastly, for those games that you said "give more pull on monthly basis", do you even know why they do that? They do that because they know the base gacha rate in their game is shit anyway. They do that because they know that their player needs the guarantee system to get what they want. Like what I've said before, it's possible for this kind of game to not obtain any single high rarity before the guarantee hit. For example: you can go and obtain absolutely nothing in 100 - 150 pull (or even up to 200) in BA or you can also obtain nothing in Genshin before the soft pity hits. They give more pulls as an illusion to show that they're "generous" while the fact is they don't. Remember, the gacha company never care for you as a player. What they care is your wallet instead. this particular banner gifted me the Phantom(he was literally the 3rd 6* I've pulled: my 1st was Hoshi(I had not known that there was such thing as "reroll" on the launch of the game), my 2nd one was Ifrit(ngl once you'll get her, you will be able to see so many tiles, as if the whole universe were there, and earlier you can get her and begin to bring her to almost any stage so that you can think outside the box - the brain cells you can save, before you get some OP operator). As a F2P player, I used to think that it's almost impossible to get a specific operator until I've spent 10x pulls worth of orundum, 4x one-pull tickets, another ~5k worth orundum for single pulls, and gifted 10x pulls ticket just to get Gnosis as my first 6* after Phantom - I would guess that this was a pity pull, that saved me, It seems that I won't get any 6* in next 20 pulls I have and I am okay with that.
I had to spark Chen Alter. What made it worse was that I was mostly getting off banner spooks. The same thing nearly happened with Skadi Alter, but instead I got a 5 Pot Kaltsit. At least she was on the banner.
This reminds me of me having to do 238 pulls to get 1 skalter after getting a bunch of blue bags and 3 kalsits. Probably the most rough banner i ever had so far
the opposite for me, i did 273 pulls for my first kalsit, it was so bad that i pulled a bit more and just bought W out of spite even though i never use her
yeah me too, it took me 180 to get skalter and 280 to get kal'tsit. funny enough when kal'tsit appeared again on the normal banner i got her in 1 pull.
This was probably my Worst Banner I pulled. I saved up to pull for this banner because it has Surtr and most of my Account was Slapped by Phantom and my Main was given a Shwarz which was cool for me but goddamn none of them did get one Surtr
Wow a lot of peeps reported that they only got Phantoms in this banner as well. This banner definitely has a higher Phantom pull compared to the other 6 stars being shown. Heck even I got just 2 Phantoms in this banner
Desire sensor man. I just wanted Phantom and ended up getting 5 schwarz, 4 surtr before 1 phantom. Rolled a bit more and ended up with 1 more phantom and finally 1 Saga. Thank god i'm not aiming for Saga...
the thing i learned from arknight gacha is you never hope for specific operators.. just like me pulling for chalter and ntr, both of them didn't come home sadge
Somehow, i can relate because I also pulled on the Surtr solo banner then on the standard banner featuring her but no luck. Somehow, this JO banner blessed me with her, finally. F man. Surtr is a really must pull, I hope that he pulls her as an off banner on Ling's banner, after getting Ling of course.
I've got Surtr 2 days ago after 8 months of every day playing, Arknights is my first and only gacha game which i tried and will to, i'm not into gacha games, i just saw soundtracks, arts, designs and story of this world and decide to download this game, i like it so much, so i can't say anything about gacha xd i just love arknights so much as game, not as gacha game, and i will never donate to games bruh, i'm fine with everything free in this game
Tbh, it's not even that unlucky compared to some people. That banner has a 25% chance for Surtr, but limited banners have a 37.5% chance for the limited operator and some people have to go for the spark after 300 pulls. Also, I know someone who started before the Skalter banner and managed to not get a single limited operator despite pulling well over 100 times each on Skalter (3 offbanner), Chalter (2 offbanner + Mizuki iirc) and Nearl Alter (2 Flametail) banner. ... and Box2 once wasted someone's savings on Nearl Alter's banner.
Still remember how I was trying for Ash during the RB 6 banner. Didnt have enough for pity, coz I was still fairly new and didnt understand the pity system well thus burning most of my resources on Dusk banner just to get spooked by Magalan. FInally hit a 6* on the RB6 banner and instead of Ash it was yet another damn Magalan (hero I hated the most looks wise + coz of the unfortunate spook, at least the skin makes her bearable). I had no budget left to try and help myself with cash at that time. Knowing that limited is never coming back felt really bad, yeah watching this just made me remember.
Bruh. Watching this video 5months later. When I wanted a chalter so bad, I pulled 300 for her, but got pot 4 mizuki… ended up sparking for chalter. When I pulled the joint operation banner, I got 2 6* in 1st ten roll 😮 one of them is a new operator. I feel like … the less I pray, the luckier I am… moreover, when I pulled the ling banner, I was ready to spark for Dusk and Nian (I don’t care about Ling, I really love Dusk and Nian), but ended up getting pot 3 Ling and pot 2 Dusk 😂, and sparking for Nian
Was missing Saga, but wasn't going to try and go in on a 25% chance. Should just about have enough to hit pity on the next limitted banner (which I've needed to have before) including the free pulls, and don't want to compromise that.
This banner is fun. I spent all I got, and I obtained da Saga pot, Schwarz pot, and the man Phantom himself. Everyday is just another day of no Surtr day I see.
I feel like sniping on a banner with 4 units is a mistake. I wouldn't roll on those banners unless you're happy to get a copy of at least 3 of the featured units.
My worst gacha experience was Skalter Banner. Took literally 300 pulls to get finally get Skalter. Not from the HH, but from token shop. Got like 6 Kaltsit and 2/3 off banner
This is not the banner for trying to get a specific operator. But if you want an example of a bad gacha, look at my video where 7 Flametails dropped and no Nearlter, (or any other six star), all the way to 300 pulls.
Rookie numbers. I had to do 240 pulls to get Mountain the first time he came into the game. And that's mind you 5 6 stars in those 240 pulls, missing the 50/50 4 times in a row, having to break pity almost every time and needing to buy monthly headhunting pack to do the last 20 pulls.
To share you my experience too: I spend +130$ in the limited Nearl banner and didn't even managed to get her... On this banner I wanted Surtr or Phantom and got Schwart who is OK and Saga. lol. The last 5 banners that guaranted a 5* at 10 pulls: all 5 I pitied the 5* and not a single 6* obviously. The new banner that guaranted a new 6*, I got Skadi who is one the worst 6* of the game... This is MY experience of the game and I can tell that Arknights is THE worst and frustrating gacha I ever played concerning the rates and pulls. Just disgusting.
Man, desire sensor is really cruel NGL. Pulling mountain none, Jo5 none. Granted I'm broke and just single pulling daily lol. Come gnosis I was just hoping for a good pity 6*, i do wanted gnosis but I'm not picky as a newbie player. Then thorns spooked me. 2 single pulls later surtr spooked me, and I'm like dang, desire sensors really worked hard huh. What's kinda annoying in AK is we don't have hard pity. So no matter of how many off rates we get, we're never guaranteed the rate up op (except in banners like Jo ops, but still it's 1/4 chance). At the end of the day, Gacha is gacha, and I'm sure everyone got their fair share of good times and bad times of pulling.
Joint operations are just such a trap. I was ok with either Phantom or Surtr but nooo I had to get the other two. I don't know why I convinced myself into pulling, nor do I understand why people advocate pulling on this banner.
Ikr? Getting *6 is easy because there is pity but getting the SPECIFIC *6 is hard because there is no pity for guarantee *6 RATE UP op especially in non limited banner. At least in limited banner u can spark for the RATE UP ops but in non limited banner? No matter how much u pull if ur luck is garbage u will get off banner until who knows when u will get the *6 RATE UP op. So i wish HG can implement spark at least for non limited op debut banner in the future
I also went deep into this banner, I have gotten like 3 schwarz and 3 saga over 200 pulls that I have saved up using both orundum, yellow certs and op. I'm just hoping to get either phantom or surtr since I have none of them, but didn't managed to get either of them and dumped my yellow certs for getting phantom as shoperator away too. Luckily I stopped myself and have like 300+ op left (had 500 saved up since the beginning of the game). Hopefully I can stock up enough orundum for the upcoming operators since there's so many of them I wanted to pull for

The moment you "need" a specific operator is the instant you have lost the will of the gatcha. I am a firm believer the most valuable resource in arknights is patience and not worrying about getting everything right away.

This reminds me of the memory with Ch'en alter's banner.
One of my friends came primarily for Mizuki but ended up getting pot 2-3 Ch'en with Mizuki arriving on the very last minute. He saved hundreds of pulls beforehand for him, nearly 200 not counting the shop restock and such.
I came for both of them, I got a single Ch'en after nearly 120 pulls including the shop restock permits with several offbanners like Eyja and a pots. Never got Mizuki.
Although, I feel far less pity for my other friend who never saves (he only had around 20 pulls) and fully expected to get a Ch'en and called the game shitty for not doing so.

I went into the banner owning Just phantom and wanted all 3 others (Surtr/Schwarz the most)
Ended up getting 2 sagas at 50 and 100 pulls, a phantom at 140 and surtr finally at 190 and got 0 schwarz. Arknights Gacha truly can be relentless
I know arknights has decent 6 star rate, but it also has the best greed sensor when it comes to specific operators. Last time I wanted a Nian, i spent 200 pulls for nothing. Just empty your brain, listen to your own breathing until you can actually press the "roll" button without thinking about the operator.

Not a single one of them limited

My worst experience with the gacha was Mountain's rerun banner. 170+ pulls and no Mountain. I was legit crying so hard and I nearly quit the game because of that.
This really hit home, my pulls on Chalter banner were easily one of my worst experiences in this game, sadly. I went in 190-ish pulls and I got POT 5 MIZUKI and a Passenger, not a single Chalter. I've never been so heartbroken in a gacha game before and it truly showed how merciless AK gacha can be. Sure the rates aren't bad, but the fact we don't have a guaranteed pull (unless it's 300 pulls in limited banners) really really hurts some people, and it happens more often than we think.
I think my worst banner experience ever in Arknights was Archetto's banner.
I had pretty much gotten constant, continuous off-banners in a row until finally, Archetto drunkenly stumbled her way into the base via pity.
No limited banner has ever hurt me as much as Cheeto's, in recent memory.

But I'm gonna put it here... I don't think AK have the best gacha system, but I will ALWAYS say that AK have a decent gacha system and not a bad one. Why? Because since I was a child I already got used to something bad/not perfect (probably because our family was poor and I can't get anything I wanted), so I can appreciate almost every little things that even people hate. So when you guys said AK gacha system is so bad, I can't agree with that. Thats a lie or you misscounted. There is a 99.844 % chance of getting a 6 star by the 70th pull due to how the pity system works, so only a few arknights users will ever reach pull 70. Exponentially lower chance for that to happen twice.
And for pull 80... the chance of getting a 6 star goes up to 99.999924%
you have a higher chance of getting killed by lighting.

Sure you might be the one in a million user to hit 70 pulls twice which again is very unlikely but that's it. The chance is so low it shouldn't be considered by any users.
Like kukkikaze said with the pity system you get on average a 6* every 30 pulls so not too shabby IMO.
Whenever I read some comments that really want to paint AK's gacha as horrible (well, it is objectively okay, but definitely not horrible), I just let them compare it to F/GO

For reference, the chances of none of the 5 6-stars being a Surtr is only 0.75^5 = 23.7%
So the chance of getting at least 1 Surtr in 5 6-stars was 1 - 0.75^5 = 76.2%

Arknight's saving grace is is the certificate system. I can atleast save gold certs and wait for a 6* shoperator, wish more games did stuff like this

To be honest, it will be better if we can also buy them at the shop around 100-150 currency without converting it with another currency unlike in Limited banners or even better if the first 6* operator that we can get in pity is the guaranteed 6* operator that we can choose. Sometimes getting a specific 6* operators are harder than getting a limited operator since there are no guarantee that you will get them especially if you don't have enough luck.

An important note is that joint operation is only better than standard headhunting if you want 3 or more of the 6 stars.
This is because on joint operation each 6 star is 25% chance. On a regular banner the odds are 25% for each of the rate up's and 50% for a random 6 star. Therefore joint operations is only worth pulling on if you want at least 3 of the units on the banner.
Statistacally pulling on any banner other than limited banners is a pretty risky proposition unless your willing to pay the price. The safest way to get a 6 star if you only want to spend a little bit is the to buy a selector ticket and select the 6 star if you don't get them off banner on limited pulls.
As a newbie, I was hoping for Schwartz to pair up with Exusia, and didn’t get her for any of my rolls. Granted, it was in total around 20 rolls since I didn’t have much. I was so disappointed when I got Surtr since I did not know who she was lol. Now I am pretty happy :D

I do agree that arknights is a bit ruthless when it comes to that specific operator if you're unlucky, but I don't think joint operation is a good example when aiming for specific operator considering it has the lowest rate up for the specific one 6*, the banner isn't even meant for this to begin with, any other type of banners have higher single operator rates
Basically this, you should pull on joint operations if you want at least 2, preferably 3 or all, of the available 6 star operators. Hoping for a specific one isn't too likely, so I'm not surprised at this person's outcome : (

I feel bad for the person, i got surtr in only 14 pulls while he has to do lots and not a single surtr. It was very kind of kukki to spend some money on the person's account and the viewers that joined in praying. Hoping and praying they will soon get their beloved surtr 🤲🛐

but getting the specific 6* more often than not, is really hard even on rate up. My worst experience is that i pulled 317 total in Skalter banner, yet i didnt get Skalter. I had to spark her.
However, because of how the gacha system works, often times you get spooked by a new 6* you dont have yet. Granted that this will goes rarer the more you obtained those 6*s.
the other good part is that almost no 6* in this game is bad.
"Bad" as in they offers little to none to your struggle to clear a stage.
I had a fairly similar experience with Dusk’s banner. I aimed for 1 saga and save the rest for R6. I ended up pulling nearly 300 times to end up with max pot Dusk and 3 off banners. When the R6 banner came I had to pull until the guaranteed 120 for Ash, best part about this experience is that the first 6* I got was saga. After spending that much on her featured banner. This proved to me Arknights gacha can be a cold mistress and a forgiving one.
Another game I play has a build-a-banner every so often (2x a year about). On this banner you have 2 characters with 40% chance each and 20% for off banner. You can select which characters you want on the banner, and also reset the characters 2 times if you get one of them. If Arknights had a similar banner this may help. I know the standard banners are somewhat similar to this but being able to pick the character really is helpful because so often they have a bad character with the good one you want. With Arknights it would make sense to make the rate up 5 stars also up to your personal selection. I want Mudrock and Kal'tsit myself and for 5 stars I would probable just use it to fill holes in my roster.
Just like me where i did 110 pulls on Near Alter banner and still i haven't got her. This is the reason why gacha sometimes can be cruel at times cause it's not perfect. The lesson here is when you want to play a gacha games and try to summon someone or items like that. Just prepare cause you won't know when will this incident happen to you.
My worst gacha exp in Arknights was during Blaze's first release. Got dupes and off banner ops, I spent like 80k. Eventually got her when she appeared in the shop.
And my best one was Kal'tsit and Skalter banner, got both within 40pulls.
I also never experienced a double 6* in one bag, only back to backs.
I am pretty sure most of the pull stream/video I had seen and feedback from players is that JO5 banner is actually a bait, not because the banner is bad by itself, but rather people keep getting operators they do not desired, and also the expectation rate for 6 stars (around 34 pulls) is way lower for the first couple tens of pulls.
My personal experience for JO5 is making 80 to 85 pulls and got like 2 6 stars, first being surtr dupe and last being saga. This is actually bad when I only have one out of four operators and I not only got a dupe but also went above the standard expectation rate. kukki in this video also suffering similar fate: he went short in the beginning and only even out at the end of the pulls, calling it for the day with a total of 182 pulls, getting 5 6 stars operators, 2 schwarz and 3 phantom, and also 16 5 stars operators, being 2 april 1 ayerscarpe 3 beeswax 6 flint 1 iris and 3 meteorite.
I've been playing this game since the Nian banner in 2020. I think the most I've ever rolled for an operator was for W during the anniversary, which was 122 pulls, then again for Ash during the R6 crossover, which was around 120 pulls too. Other than that, I've never pulled more than 50 or 60 times (and that's including free pulls during limited events). I'm almost completely f2p (minus the 5 dollar monthly card and one six star voucher during the W event). Just by buying tickets from the yellow shop and doing the weekly Orundum battles, I've amassed 42 six star operators in under 2 years. And after rolling on this banner, I got Surtr on my first ten roll no problem. In terms of fairness, my experience has been down right charitable.
P.S. I realize this post might come across as arrogant or self absorbed or whatever, but I just wanted to share my experience with this game since most videos on TH-cam seem to highlight the most unfortunate gacha experiences players have. For newer players, stuff like this does happen, but equally likely, you can take your favorite operators home more often than not. Just be patient and have fun.

Started AK in the 2nd week of its released, PURE F2P. 186 out of 210 ops (36 diff 6 stars unit, not dupes). So far worst banner is Nian (200pulls) and NTR(220pulls). But i do have all Limited Ops and rn have 450pulls in bank saving for future banners, so cant really complain too much about my luck.
i think i can relate, i spend about 60 on every banner that was thorns in it, but i just got thorn on last thorns's rerun banner. i think it took at least 240 pulls to get 1 specific non limited character if the account was hated by oprator that we look for. but it doesnt count with limited character, remmember! theres ppl that LITERALY NEED TO BUY WITH SPARK SYSTEM TO GET JUST 1!
on somecase even worse, 2 yrs of monthly (about 1yr doing oru farming) and rosmontis never appear on my bag.
It was lucky for me to get Radiant Nearl after 150 pulls. I had to use all my saved up orandums. I with the pity system needed you to pull like 150/200 times like other games instead of 300.
No too mad tho as it’s still a great f2p game with decent drop rates for 6* units.

I've yet to get Dusk and Rosmantis, and I pulled on each of their banners 160+ times.
That said, I still like Arknights because they provide me with so many free pulling opportunities, and I don't feel especially pressured to buy (at least not until I accidentally click on Closure's purchase screen).
I'm free-to-play, so I just sigh and move on if I don't get my girls. At this point, I have a pretty strong team, so I don't feel near as hopeless as when I first started out.
This banner is one of the worst kinds to get a specific character though... it is designed to get 1 of the 4, these banners are for a general good unit. Arknights gacha certainly isn't perfect and it would be good to have some sort of guarantee of an operator, but that would be more relevant on a solo character banner. If the gacha in Arknights improved I certainly wouldn't complain, but generally I think it is really good if you are patient.
The W/Weedy banner is the worst I ever had, over 250+, and didn't get either character. Got like 3 Shinings lol, and had her before that already. I can't remember what other 6 stars I got, but honestly nothing very impressive. I finally got Weedy from the Yellow Certificicate shop recently, but W has still evaded me more than a year later. Limited Operators long-term are pretty tough to get, and probably my main issue with the Gacha in Arknights.
Yeah it takes a special type of masochist to try to snipe one unit from a 1/4 chance banner. You should only pull on those if all or most of the characters are desirable. would've been more reasonable to pull her from a banner with two featured 6 stars.
Seeing multiple 10 pulls and only getting blue light is like a death penalty 💀

Once I saw an account, and they still had no Nearl Alter after 300 pulls. They had to spark them. It was really painfull to watch.
Man it really makes me feel soo bad seeing people pulling for a specific 6 star on their rate up banner, and yet I got that 6 star from a rate off like I got my Surtr from a standard banner when trying to get Exusiai

The thing is, Joint Ops banners are just bait banners, it's those single 6* Ops banners that are the near perfect types, since the 2nd pity rate up is guaranteed to be whoever is on rate up, Joint Ops have multiple Ops, so it just splits 50/50 or whatever ratio between the rate ups, which lowers your chance of the one you want exponentially
Arknights doesn't have guaranteed rate-ups, except the limited banners 300 pulls shop and Ash 120. Source - I pulled 6 off-banner dupes before getting Saileach on her original banner :>

this reminds me of my good ol days, now I learned to just save and only pull on limited banners cuz by then I already got at least 100 to 150+ pulls instead of burning all orundums on standard banners...
I splurged a little of my hard earned orundum on the Joint banner gunning for Saga and I pulled Surtr, so I stopped. I got a little bit sad, being just a humble goldfish as well, so seeing this, is like suffering through proxy.

The worst gacha experience I got is in Nearl Alter banner when I was aiming for 300 pull to get W
But ofc it's W in Nearl Alter banner the chance is impossible low so I need to prepared for the worst fortunately I reach my 300 pull in the last day of the banner
As a Player I was blessed by Goddess of Fortune in my Gacha Games history even my Friend called me as "Fragrant Hand" and ask me to pull for them sometimes, see this just make my heart ripped apart how come an account have this much bad luck like a curse was attached to it

Problem with arknights gacha is that it lacks consistency.
Higher base chances means nothing if you are unable to gurantee the operator you are pulling for.
And even on cases when you can (limited banners) you need to save for more than 7 months non stop to actually do it.
Genshin,honkai,pgr and blue archive has lower chances than arknights but what makes them goodis that you are actually able to gurantee the operator you are pulling for not to mention only extremely small amount of gacha games tend to put double rate up in same banner wich arknights sadly is a part of.
Yes genshin base chances are terrible but then you realize you only need 2.5 months to get a guranteed character and 5 months to gurantee the character and its weapon while you need 7 months for a single limited unit on arknights.
Its a TERRIBLE system in my opinion and seriously needs a change.
Espiecelly for new players because its hard to justify telling anyone to pull for any standart banner
only banners that are worth actually pulling for are limited,joint op and "New year??" Banners wich only limited one gurantees (at some point) you are getting the operator you want.

Except that's what precisely differentiate AK's gacha from those others that you said. AK's gacha is "generous" in terms of how many 6* you can obtain within a number of pulls but there's no guarantee that it'd be who you want. Those other gacha (Genshin, PGR, BA, etc) is "generous" in terms that you have a guarantee to get the one you want. The problem with Genshin, PGR, BA gacha is that they can drop the chance to be as low as possible and still getaway with it just because there's a "guarantee" system (Remember that PGR and Genshin gacha chance is below 1%). For those kind of games, you can do a stupid high amount of pull and get absolutely nothing at all without relying on the guarantee. My issue with those kind of games is that you can technically throw out the "luck" factor (which is the main point of a gacha) and just play it around with money since you can technically "buy" the character you want if you have enough money. This means IF the games have PvP mode, the gap between whales and f2p/casual player become exceedingly large, just because the whales don't need to rely on their own luck and just need to rely on their money instead.
In my opinion, the real issue is that gacha players nowadays are getting too used to having a guarantee system in their gacha. They don't want to rely on their own luck and just simply want easier time using guarantee system, as if they're trying to make a justification at their own spending without wanting to accept the fact that what they did is gambling in the first place.

In simpler terms, gacha with guarantee system like Genshin, PGR, and BA promotes spending just the same as how much they promotes saving since the amount of currency you have decided the result of your pulls. Gacha games like AK doesn't promote anything whether it's spending nor saving. Your result depends on your luck instead.

@@yuurina5092 Seems like you don't read my 2nd paragraph eh? Gacha is gambling and gambling requires luck. Guarantee system kills this need of luck as it changed it from "luck required" into "x amount of currency required" to obtain what you want. Is this good? Yes. Is this bad? Also yes. Why? Because it feeds on the urge of people with gambling addiction. It promotes spending for those kind of people because now they think they just need to spend certain amount of money to obtain what they want. Does it lower spending? Yes since now the ceiling for the amount of money needed falls down tremendously. Does it promote spending? Also yes if the person can't resist the urge to gamble/obtain that certain character. I understand what you meant by lowering spending, but those only applied to people that normally spend money anyway. For those that is usually f2p, there's more chance for them to start spending money just for the reason "to get what they want" (and who knows that this will be the spark that will changed their status into "whale" instead).
On AK you said that you need to saved up for 7 months to obtain a limited ops. While this is true, does getting this limited ops is a must? Does the game forced you to save for limited banner? Answer is no. You don't need to do that. The guaranteed 300 spark in AK limited isn't meant for normal players anyway. It has and always meant for the whales. Why do they do this for the whales? To avoid "monkeygate" from happening again. If you don't know what that is, go and google it. It basically what happened to a GBF whale in the past where they spent shitton of money and didn't get certain chara that they want. This incident birth the spark system and later on pity system on gacha games.
Lastly, for those games that you said "give more pull on monthly basis", do you even know why they do that? They do that because they know the base gacha rate in their game is shit anyway. They do that because they know that their player needs the guarantee system to get what they want. Like what I've said before, it's possible for this kind of game to not obtain any single high rarity before the guarantee hit. For example: you can go and obtain absolutely nothing in 100 - 150 pull (or even up to 200) in BA or you can also obtain nothing in Genshin before the soft pity hits. They give more pulls as an illusion to show that they're "generous" while the fact is they don't. Remember, the gacha company never care for you as a player. What they care is your wallet instead.

Please realize that spark in AK is purposedly made difficult for normal player while in games like BA, PGR, and Genshin, the spark/guarantee was meant for all players instead since they made it very accesible.
And let' just get this straight. In your first comment, you said that AK lacks consistency. It's honestly is not. You will get a 6* AT WORST in each 60 pulls. It's consistent in being that. Games like BA, Genshin, and PGR is consistent in GIVING what you want in certain amount of pulls. Both kind are consistent but in different way. You said that AK gacha system is terrible while it actually doesn't. There are people that prefer getting a bunch of 6*/high rarities and play with their own luck instead to get what they want, which is my kind of people. On the other end of the spectrum, there's people like you that prefer having easier time getting the character that you want instead. Saying one system is more terrible than the others just doesn't make any sense. There are people that hates AK gacha system, but at the same time, there are also people that hates gacha system of games like PGR, Genshin, and BA. Both kind of system CAN be terrible in their own right.
Please for the love of God, realize that you can't see things in one way only. There's always a pros and cons in everything. There's no such thing that is pros only without cons and cons only without pros.

this particular banner gifted me the Phantom(he was literally the 3rd 6* I've pulled: my 1st was Hoshi(I had not known that there was such thing as "reroll" on the launch of the game), my 2nd one was Ifrit(ngl once you'll get her, you will be able to see so many tiles, as if the whole universe were there, and earlier you can get her and begin to bring her to almost any stage so that you can think outside the box - the brain cells you can save, before you get some OP operator). As a F2P player, I used to think that it's almost impossible to get a specific operator until I've spent 10x pulls worth of orundum, 4x one-pull tickets, another ~5k worth orundum for single pulls, and gifted 10x pulls ticket just to get Gnosis as my first 6* after Phantom - I would guess that this was a pity pull, that saved me, It seems that I won't get any 6* in next 20 pulls I have and I am okay with that.
I had to spark Chen Alter. What made it worse was that I was mostly getting off banner spooks. The same thing nearly happened with Skadi Alter, but instead I got a 5 Pot Kaltsit. At least she was on the banner.
Look at that Phantom's face. It screams "Uh, hey, it's me again" energy right there.
This reminds me of me having to do 238 pulls to get 1 skalter after getting a bunch of blue bags and 3 kalsits.

the opposite for me, i did 273 pulls for my first kalsit, it was so bad that i pulled a bit more and just bought W out of spite even though i never use her
yeah me too, it took me 180 to get skalter and 280 to get kal'tsit. funny enough when kal'tsit appeared again on the normal banner i got her in 1 pull.

This was probably my Worst Banner I pulled. I saved up to pull for this banner because it has Surtr and most of my Account was Slapped by Phantom and my Main was given a Shwarz which was cool for me but goddamn none of them did get one Surtr
Wow a lot of peeps reported that they only got Phantoms in this banner as well. This banner definitely has a higher Phantom pull compared to the other 6 stars being shown. Heck even I got just 2 Phantoms in this banner
Desire sensor man. I just wanted Phantom and ended up getting 5 schwarz, 4 surtr before 1 phantom. Rolled a bit more and ended up with 1 more phantom and finally 1 Saga. Thank god i'm not aiming for Saga...

Somehow, i can relate because I also pulled on the Surtr solo banner then on the standard banner featuring her but no luck. Somehow, this JO banner blessed me with her, finally. F man. Surtr is a really must pull, I hope that he pulls her as an off banner on Ling's banner, after getting Ling of course.
I've got Surtr 2 days ago after 8 months of every day playing, Arknights is my first and only gacha game which i tried and will to, i'm not into gacha games, i just saw soundtracks, arts, designs and story of this world and decide to download this game, i like it so much, so i can't say anything about gacha xd i just love arknights so much as game, not as gacha game, and i will never donate to games bruh, i'm fine with everything free in this game
Tbh, it's not even that unlucky compared to some people. That banner has a 25% chance for Surtr, but limited banners have a 37.5% chance for the limited operator and some people have to go for the spark after 300 pulls.
Also, I know someone who started before the Skalter banner and managed to not get a single limited operator despite pulling well over 100 times each on Skalter (3 offbanner), Chalter (2 offbanner + Mizuki iirc) and Nearl Alter (2 Flametail) banner.
... and Box2 once wasted someone's savings on Nearl Alter's banner.
Still remember how I was trying for Ash during the RB 6 banner. Didnt have enough for pity, coz I was still fairly new and didnt understand the pity system well thus burning most of my resources on Dusk banner just to get spooked by Magalan.
FInally hit a 6* on the RB6 banner and instead of Ash it was yet another damn Magalan (hero I hated the most looks wise + coz of the unfortunate spook, at least the skin makes her bearable). I had no budget left to try and help myself with cash at that time. Knowing that limited is never coming back felt really bad, yeah watching this just made me remember.
lesson learned: never pull on joint operations banners again, NEVER
my experience as a noob is.. its a good gacha if you don't want any particular 6 star.. but once you only want one then it gets pretty hard

Bruh. Watching this video 5months later. When I wanted a chalter so bad, I pulled 300 for her, but got pot 4 mizuki… ended up sparking for chalter. When I pulled the joint operation banner, I got 2 6* in 1st ten roll 😮 one of them is a new operator. I feel like … the less I pray, the luckier I am… moreover, when I pulled the ling banner, I was ready to spark for Dusk and Nian (I don’t care about Ling, I really love Dusk and Nian), but ended up getting pot 3 Ling and pot 2 Dusk 😂, and sparking for Nian

Was missing Saga, but wasn't going to try and go in on a 25% chance. Should just about have enough to hit pity on the next limitted banner (which I've needed to have before) including the free pulls, and don't want to compromise that.
This banner is fun. I spent all I got, and I obtained da Saga pot, Schwarz pot, and the man Phantom himself.
Everyday is just another day of no Surtr day I see.

My worst gacha experience was Skalter Banner.
Took literally 300 pulls to get finally get Skalter. Not from the HH, but from token shop.
Got like 6 Kaltsit and 2/3 off banner
This is not the banner for trying to get a specific operator. But if you want an example of a bad gacha, look at my video where 7 Flametails dropped and no Nearlter, (or any other six star), all the way to 300 pulls.
Rookie numbers. I had to do 240 pulls to get Mountain the first time he came into the game. And that's mind you 5 6 stars in those 240 pulls, missing the 50/50 4 times in a row, having to break pity almost every time and needing to buy monthly headhunting pack to do the last 20 pulls.
To share you my experience too: I spend +130$ in the limited Nearl banner and didn't even managed to get her... On this banner I wanted Surtr or Phantom and got Schwart who is OK and Saga. lol. The last 5 banners that guaranted a 5* at 10 pulls: all 5 I pitied the 5* and not a single 6* obviously. The new banner that guaranted a new 6*, I got Skadi who is one the worst 6* of the game...
This is MY experience of the game and I can tell that Arknights is THE worst and frustrating gacha I ever played concerning the rates and pulls. Just disgusting.

Man, desire sensor is really cruel NGL. Pulling mountain none, Jo5 none. Granted I'm broke and just single pulling daily lol. Come gnosis I was just hoping for a good pity 6*, i do wanted gnosis but I'm not picky as a newbie player. Then thorns spooked me. 2 single pulls later surtr spooked me, and I'm like dang, desire sensors really worked hard huh.
What's kinda annoying in AK is we don't have hard pity. So no matter of how many off rates we get, we're never guaranteed the rate up op (except in banners like Jo ops, but still it's 1/4 chance). At the end of the day, Gacha is gacha, and I'm sure everyone got their fair share of good times and bad times of pulling.
Joint operations are just such a trap. I was ok with either Phantom or Surtr but nooo I had to get the other two. I don't know why I convinced myself into pulling, nor do I understand why people advocate pulling on this banner.
Ikr? Getting *6 is easy because there is pity but getting the SPECIFIC *6 is hard because there is no pity for guarantee *6 RATE UP op especially in non limited banner. At least in limited banner u can spark for the RATE UP ops but in non limited banner? No matter how much u pull if ur luck is garbage u will get off banner until who knows when u will get the *6 RATE UP op. So i wish HG can implement spark at least for non limited op debut banner in the future

I also went deep into this banner, I have gotten like 3 schwarz and 3 saga over 200 pulls that I have saved up using both orundum, yellow certs and op. I'm just hoping to get either phantom or surtr since I have none of them, but didn't managed to get either of them and dumped my yellow certs for getting phantom as shoperator away too. Luckily I stopped myself and have like 300+ op left (had 500 saved up since the beginning of the game). Hopefully I can stock up enough orundum for the upcoming operators since there's so many of them I wanted to pull for
