Rui took him lightly and even so avoided the fatal blow when Tanjiro AND Nezuko tag teamed him. Possibly with relative ease, we dont actually know how close Tanjirou was to actually taking him out. After that Rui became serious, meaning he wasn't serious when fighting before. He only started using techniques after Tanjirou failed to kill him, he just used the strings normally before that, not skills.
So no, I dont think it would even be remotely fair or reasonable to actually count that as him beating a Twelve Kizuki by himself and neither do I think Tanjirou has proven himself to be at that level. Possibly not even all that close to it, he only got as far as he did because of a newly discovered power he doesnt know how to use, activate nor control in general or hasnt been able to before at least, activated or was discovered midbattle. At least he certainly doesnt have it perfectly down yet. It also made him immobile in a matter of seconds using it.
Do you want to count that as him beating one or being as strong as one? He soon might fail you if you do ~
Oh, and the former 12 Kizuki he beat was
1: Likely not as strong as before?
2: Missing a drum, he couldnt use all his powers. The room shift wasnt there for him to use in that fight.
Though to be fair Tanjirou was injured but said former Kizuki was kicked out specifically because he wasnt up to the Twelve Kizuki standard. So should beating him really count?
Don't get me wrong Tanjirou is good and is getting closer to beating a real one for real. But he hasn't and as he is now, likely couldn't.

I reckon Tanjiro without any injuries can beat the drum dude wit all his drums. Coz the room changing drum cant be use offensively, Its more like a last resort or if hes losing a fight he can spam the drum to get out a dying situation. But maybe he can use it to exhaust Tanjiro by changing his room again and again. tho Tanjiro was able to slice a massive bolder so if he rlly wanted to he can just start destroying the whole house making it so there are no rooms to change imo.

@@cole_world5739 I dont know about that🤔 It kinda feels like Tanjirous movements and agility were only able to deal with and compensate for the rooms uncertain nature because it always remained a room. If he can only flee or remain in the same position in another room with that's one thing but Tanjirous movements shouldnt be nearly as able to reach him and his stamina depletion much greater if he had to deal with locations shifting as well.
What if Kyougai disapperars and re appears when unexpected from an unexpected direction? What if he teleports right next to you using it btw?
We never really see him use the drum so we dont quite know how he would or could use it in battle.
And Tanjirou could wreck as much of the house as he wants, it will exhaust the hell out of him though, but even if he breaks the walls couldnt Kyougai just move again and all movements and energy wasted?

Schmul Sjifirs Tanjiro has always fought wit 2 feets on the ground, Tbh i dnt rlly remember him ever using walls for mobility except his fight wit this drum guy. If they were to fight in an open area Tanjiro would be the one benefiting imo. Afterall tanjiro was able to keep up wit Rui wit his 10th form which is basically footing.
Nd tanjiro insane sense of smell has already help him win against a demon who could essentially teleport nd pop up outta nowhere, so this guy tryna sneak up on tanjiro shouldn’t be a problem. But i do agree on the stamina part, we dnt rlly knw how big the house actually is, so Tanjiro could possibly tire himself out nd lose the fight.
Yes but the former Lower Six was kicked out of the Kizuki cause he was to weak and wasn't getting any stronger know matter how much he eats. Former Lower Six had reached his limit. You under estimate how strong the Kizuki are, Rui wasn't even trying and only took the fight seriously when Tanjiro came so close to taking his head. The Upper Moons are so powerful that not even a Hashira has killed an Upper Moon in over a century. The Upper Moons roster has been the same for 100+ years. Cause any demon Slayer to encounter an upper rank won't live to talk about it

Personaly i do not understant the hype aroud this anime. It ok but it not good or great.
that is fine, not everything is gonne be for everyone. I have seen people say HXH, JJk or OP are just meh; there are all kinds of people.

For exemple promise neverland is way better write even if I think the story boring but i could tell is well write. In oposite i could say DBZ is realy badly write but still love it. But KMNY is realy basic it just a simple revenge story withou anythink intersting. The story do almost no developement exept power level up and the character in the serie : i forget they if they not on the screen.
By the way i agreed JJk is prety boring and that mainly because the character are garbage especialy Satoru Gojo a fucking bastar and Nobara Kugisaki a tsuntsun a type of charcter that should be forbiden.
