A Made a ground/light type fakemon, its a snake like pokemon with an angler on its head. It hides in sand at night while letting it’s light glow, when prey approaches it, it lunges at its prey!
About the Undead Type, maybe there could be a bite move that temporarily changes the target’s type to undead for the rest of the battle, kinda like an infection
I always wondered what would happen if there was some sort of artificial type that was sort of an "all type." In that it would be strong against all types, and yet weak against all types. It would be offensively monstrous and defensively horrid, giving it an extreme balance.
Your literally describing what's called a glass cannon in gaming. They tend to hit like a tank dropped from orbit but can't take an actual hit themselves..
If you give a Pokemon with that type a high attacking stat, speed and a stab move it becomes an absolute monster, with its stab being super effective against everything, and 4x effective against any Pokemon with 2 types, plus you can just slap choice specs/band and one shot everything.
The idea sounds cool however i think it probably still would be too op, maybe you get a Pokémon that isn’t that type but still has high attacking stats and has a move of that type and you only use that and kill everyone easily and no other type move would be used anymore, however that could be fixed if you make that only the respective type Pokémons that learn moves of that type, would still be very powerful but at least forcing the Pokémon to be horrible in defense to use the move, if we want to nerf the moves even further every attack could lower either def/sp. def/ or atk/sp. atk
Glad to see there are optimistic fans who make lists like these. Most Poketubers I know are more scepticle and don't believe gen 9 will add any new types. But you never know until we get more info.

Here's a potential type: Fungus. Plants and fungi are as different as plants and animals. So let's split! Retcons: Paras line, Shroomish line, Foongus line, Morelull line, Shuckle. I haven't completed the potential matchups for it, but it'd be good against Grass and Ghost because of the role fungi play in decomposition, weak to Poison due to fungicides, and mutually resistant with Fairy because of rings of mushrooms being known as fairy rings.
A wood type would be cool to see. And i like the undead type to but i think they should use the ghosts typing , like making them half ghosts and half their original typing.
It would actually be better that way. Because then a zombiemon could use an "infectious bite" move that would impart the Infected status effect, which would add the Ghost typing to whatever has the status effect. Then your Ghost type moves would be more effective.
Um fighting is supposed to represent superhuman strength, which is why fighting is super effective against steel and rock types. Superman would punch the hell out of a tree.

A type I came up with is the Toon type (kinda like Toon monsters from Yugioh). I haven't come up with many strengths and weaknesses, but I'd imagine it'd be strong against Psychic types due to Toon types not following logic or any laws of physics, making it hard for Psychic types to comprehend how they could possibly work.
Oh for sure. So many moves are sonic too. Howl, growl, roar, uproar, screech, sonic boom, and thats just off the top of my head. I always thought sound type had the most groundwork laid already.
firstly the types on this list i can see happening are wood magic and light types secondly you talked about certain types being resistant to each other or immune to each other because they are commonly going against each other like godzilla and mothra being monster types so they are weak against each other i like that but i also have something to add what about making a new type rule based on abilities like poison heal or water absorb so water pokemon get healed by water type attacks fire types get healed by fire and poison by poison i think that would be better than just simply resisting what could be healing you
Sound type really deserves to be on the list I'm talking about Pokemons like Kricketune, chatot, loudred, and more Hope you'd make a follow up tp this video
Honestly the only good types here are good, rubber, and magic, the others are way to similar to other types, especially monster, they’re all already pocket monsters
Magic seems too similar to psychic the only new type I would like to see that I hear people bring always is the Sound type to a lesser extent I've seen people mention a Crystal type which I suppose could also be interesting. Anyway I just don't think Pokémon needs to introduce tons of more types there's already a bunch of them and adding too many would make things confusing.
In my opinion I don't really think any of these types are good ideas especially Food type Undead and Magic also seem to similar to Ghost and Psychic I feel the same way but to a lesser extent with Light type it seems similar to electric to me which also make light from electricity. I still think the topic of new Pokémon types is interesting nonetheless even if I don't think we need more aside from Sound I've been convinced that a Sound type could work.
I’d love to see Spark with a baby evolution. It could be an apprentice in training. Also puppies are clumsy so it could have trouble controlling it’s magic
What about sound type Pokemon? I like the idea. My fake-pokemon would be something like the Nidoran lines. They are based off choir position and voice types. So the male line would have the first form be based off a Bass/Alto, middle form would be a Baritone/Mezzo-soprano (or contralto) then finally evolve into a Tenor/Soprano! (I also want there to be a rare evolution for the males to evolve into a Countertenor which is a very rare make voice type)! There are already some possibilities for poke such as the whismur line, criciton line (Don't know how to spell its name). As for sound type moves I got a good one for the fake-pokemon called harmony. On its own it does flat damage but if it's done in doubles with another pokemon using harmony they can sing together and do more damage. If that couldn't work then some moves could be based off of music chords such as Major giving the two users a buff or minor to give the other team a rebuff or diminished to confuse the opponents since it's such a dissonant chord. I could go on about this for days!

Crystal Type. STRONG AGAINST: -Rock (Crystals come from Rock) -Ground (Same explanation as Rock) -Grass (Some Gemstones like Amethyst and Jasper have healing properties when exposed to Grass.) -Dark (Crystals usually glow in the dark.) WEAK TO: -Fire (Most Crystals are flammable) -Fighting (Crystals can break easily) -Steel (Pickaxes are used to break Crystals) RESISTS: -Water (Liquid doesn't seep into Crystals for a good while.) -Poison (Same as above. It'll take a long time for it to actually do something.) -Electric (It's a bad conductor. Like Water.) -Ice (Some Crystals are made of Ice, and so they'll resist it.) IMMUNE TO: -Fairy (Crystals glow in the dark and so light-based attacks aren't really effective to an already glowing source.)
They should make a bio type Pokémon, which are Pokémon with that got the best out of evolution, they will have moves like “autotology” which is when a creatures cuts limbs of like a lizard or a sea slug, they will get rid of negative effects like poison but won’t be able to use certain abilities because they are missing a limb
24:00 I can see the 2nd evolution being bigger and the 3rd evolution being yellowish gold (making a reference to super saiyan) and very iintimidating and the shiny for 1st and 2nd being red (making a reference to super saiyan god) and the 3rd would be grayish white (making a reference to Ultra instinct)
I always thought that zombies become more vulnerable to cold as frostbite destroys their flesh, yet they don't feel eventually the frostbite destroys all the connective tissue that keeps the body parts moving and falls apart. Have you ever seen those photo's of extreme 4th stage frostbite its absolutely scary as the affected parts of your body literally dies and mummifies. I don't think fantasy is a good representation with zombies and the cold, especially not Game of Thrones. Those wights are the result of magic its why they can ignore the cold.
Also a bunch of other of the new types can be represented using other types... I’m not against it since I made techno and aura type when there’s already electric steel and fighting- but still it just feels... weird
I had an idea for a Distortion type. Super effective against normal, and other Distortion types. Weak to psychic and Distortion. And immune to poison. The idea is Distortion isn't a natural type, it was formed when an evil team fused Giratina and Jirachi powers into a bomb that went wrong and it rewrote reality making this type. Giratina would of course have it. A regional form of porygon. And Unknown. The idea is this would basically be a virus type or digital type.
I think another Pokémon should be cookies, and yes it’s literally just cookies, well actually it would be cookies inside a cookie tin with cookies inside, now this Pokémon would be food and digital type, food is obvious they are literally cookies you eat them but digital types might seem far fetched, and it is because they are a play on word to cookies on website, so I think giving it digital type would fit while being hilarious.

Make it part ghost or something to explain it's more or less formless appearance, and even make it's appearance in Gen One canon by giving it a nod in it's Pokédex entry like "It's hypothesized to have come from some sort of digital world because there have been sightings of it in old video games long before it's discovery. I would also make Genesect a Bug/Digital type, with the items that change it's type altering it's Bug type t the corresponding item's while it keeps the Digital type at all times.
Maybe Drifblim and Drifloom could also be rubber type?
@@romulosarzenski I think that wouldn't be a great idea since they're already dual types that plays heavily into both types with their aesthetic and Pokédex info. A regional variant that's Flying/Rubber typed that's friendly and harmless to kids on the other hand would be great IMO since the new typing would give Game Freak the leeway to change up it's design and give it new Pokédex info to accommodate the new typing.
he said “digital world” way to many times and he is starting to sound like a support character in digimon talking about the digital world lol
The FIGHTING/Type should be strong against the WOOD/Type for the same reason why the FIGHTING/Type is strong against The ROCK/type, the STEEL/type, and the ICE/type

i think my favourite new type idea is the sound type due to being many sound like moves and it would make sense for it to be in the game i know it isnt in the video but i dont like the types covered that much i like the monster one and the magic one is okay

About the Undead Type, maybe there could be a bite move that temporarily changes the target’s type to undead for the rest of the battle, kinda like an infection
I Infect you, then I'll switch to Charizard now that you've picked up Fire weakness... better hope you're not already quad weak to Fire lol.
The idea sounds cool however i think it probably still would be too op, maybe you get a Pokémon that isn’t that type but still has high attacking stats and has a move of that type and you only use that and kill everyone easily and no other type move would be used anymore, however that could be fixed if you make that only the respective type Pokémons that learn moves of that type, would still be very powerful but at least forcing the Pokémon to be horrible in defense to use the move, if we want to nerf the moves even further every attack could lower either def/sp. def/ or atk/sp. atk
too op, get a fast "all type" and you've beaten the whole game already
Maybe a Glass type to express the glass cannon-y nature of the type.
Glad to see there are optimistic fans who make lists like these. Most Poketubers I know are more scepticle and don't believe gen 9 will add any new types. But you never know until we get more info.
Dobbs, 1 small problem with Gargoyer's ability: it's Just a copy of levitate.
TRUE not only that glare the new "signature move" is a real move in the main games
I mean Rayquaza's signature Ability is just Cloud Nine
@@laprasrules12 no Rayquaza has air lock & psyduck has cloud nine know what your talking about
@@tytool2385 Psyduck isnt the only mon with that ability. Altaria and Lickylicky also get it. But Rayquaza's ability is just the same effect as their's

Ans- probably ditto
Maybe mewtwo, the klink line, the rotom line and the beldam line could also be digital type, considering they were made from/of computers and machines. Same with type null who takes disc
i am obsessed with the whole mouster idea I honestly will do anything to get this pokemon into the games
I love that most of these were new to me. Props
You make a point
A wood type would be cool to see. And i like the undead type to but i think they should use the ghosts typing , like making them half ghosts and half their original typing.
It would actually be better that way. Because then a zombiemon could use an "infectious bite" move that would impart the Infected status effect, which would add the Ghost typing to whatever has the status effect. Then your Ghost type moves would be more effective.
Him: rubber type
Me:So driffloon?
Um fighting is supposed to represent superhuman strength, which is why fighting is super effective against steel and rock types. Superman would punch the hell out of a tree.
Dobbs logic: Make things balanced
The strongest Pokemon Zacian: *laughs in being fairy and barely having a counter*
Wouldn’t rubber be weak to steel because steel blades can cut rubber?

I died seeing the “Food Type” in the thumbnail 😂😂😂
Thanks for the new vid Dobbs 💙🐱💙
Clicked faster than the new starters staying on 4 legs
Haha sooo funny
True
That doesn't make any sense
i don't fucking get this joke
a new idea to rotten flesh ability:if the user gets attacked or attacks by/with a bite move the opposing pokemon gets poisoned in a way where it takes 30 damage every turn
16:42 sure about that?...food usually helps, not to early before a fight of course
15:33 magearna watching like:
Am i a joke to you
No sound/sonic type? Missed opportunity. There are SO many sound based pokemon (jigglypuff, whismer, noivern for example)
Yeah, the foundations are there
Oh for sure. So many moves are sonic too. Howl, growl, roar, uproar, screech, sonic boom, and thats just off the top of my head. I always thought sound type had the most groundwork laid already.
@@ianitus777 agreed
Dobbs: Have you ever tried punching a tree? I guess it hurt a lot
Minecraft Players: I don’t have such weaknesses.
firstly the types on this list i can see happening are wood magic and light types secondly you talked about certain types being resistant to each other or immune to each other because they are commonly going against each other like godzilla and mothra being monster types so they are weak against each other i like that but i also have something to add what about making a new type rule based on abilities like poison heal or water absorb so water pokemon get healed by water type attacks fire types get healed by fire and poison by poison i think that would be better than just simply resisting what could be healing you
13:40 hmm spark? Doggo?? Spark as in electricity??? YELLOW DOGGO????
so it's a regional evolution of boltund, nice
Sound type really deserves to be on the list I'm talking about Pokemons like
Kricketune, chatot, loudred, and more
Hope you'd make a follow up tp this video
Cloud=flying
Undead/monster=ghost
Wood=GRASS
Honestly the only good types here are good, rubber, and magic, the others are way to similar to other types, especially monster, they’re all already pocket monsters
They are gunna be similar they have so many in the game already
Magic seems too similar to psychic the only new type I would like to see that I hear people bring always is the Sound type to a lesser extent I've seen people mention a Crystal type which I suppose could also be interesting. Anyway I just don't think Pokémon needs to introduce tons of more types there's already a bunch of them and adding too many would make things confusing.
I thought the zombies in lavender town just turned out to be illusions by the same Gastly that possed blue?

In my opinion I don't really think any of these types are good ideas especially Food type Undead and Magic also seem to similar to Ghost and Psychic I feel the same way but to a lesser extent with Light type it seems similar to electric to me which also make light from electricity. I still think the topic of new Pokémon types is interesting nonetheless even if I don't think we need more aside from Sound I've been convinced that a Sound type could work.
16:44 i honestly see dragon being super effective since they’re giant monsters that need a lot of food to be functional therefore eating all the food

Rotom could be for digital type, as it can control a fridge, fan, a lawn mower, and more! If they added a computer, it could create computer rotom!
Not fun fact : gravard is undead type!
I thought garchomp was based on a gargoyle.
(Well obviously a shark as well)

I’d come up with the Mecha type. Strengths: Steel, Electric, Rock, Normal; Weaknesses: Fighting, Ground; Immunities: Poison, Ice; Pokemon Needing this Type: Magnemite line, Porygon Nosepass line, Baltoy line, Beldum line, Klink line, Golette line, Chargabug, Vikavolt, Magearna, Meltan line
12:56
I hate to be "that guy", but Peeves is a poltergeist, not a ghost.
Well i wanna debunk the monster type specificly the new fan made pokemon his ability is exactly the same as levitate so just give him levitate & glare is a real move in pokemon... glare is a 100% accurate move that paralyze all pokemon besides electric types
Nice Video Dobbs! 👍 🔥

Crystal Type.
STRONG AGAINST:
-Rock (Crystals come from Rock)
-Ground (Same explanation as Rock)
-Grass (Some Gemstones like Amethyst and Jasper have healing properties when exposed to Grass.)
-Dark (Crystals usually glow in the dark.)
WEAK TO:
-Fire (Most Crystals are flammable)
-Fighting (Crystals can break easily)
-Steel (Pickaxes are used to break Crystals)
RESISTS:
-Water (Liquid doesn't seep into Crystals for a good while.)
-Poison (Same as above. It'll take a long time for it to actually do something.)
-Electric (It's a bad conductor. Like Water.)
-Ice (Some Crystals are made of Ice, and so they'll resist it.)
IMMUNE TO:
-Fairy (Crystals glow in the dark and so light-based attacks aren't really effective to an already glowing source.)
Says the only digital types would be the Porygon line
* sad Genesect noises *
...wood type is just grass, undead is just ghost, monster is just dragon, nuclear is just poison...
I think monster is the type least likely to exist because all pokémon are monsters
3:06
Steve: **angery**
I think another Pokémon should be cookies, and yes it’s literally just cookies, well actually it would be cookies inside a cookie tin with cookies inside, now this Pokémon would be food and digital type, food is obvious they are literally cookies you eat them but digital types might seem far fetched, and it is because they are a play on word to cookies on website, so I think giving it digital type would fit while being hilarious.
Those fakemons were sooo cool!!!😃Also I enjoyed the video a lot!!
5:05 Why did you have to put that clip (High School of the dead)
15:32 Mewtwo: Am I a joke
Start of the video: #10 is Wood type.
Me: Huh I mean I guess that could work. Still pretty out there and makes less sense then the fan made Sound type. I guess that is why it's at number 10. I wonder what the rest will be.
The rest of the video: *COMPLETE AND UTTER NONSENSE*
Me: 😐 He thought these were both reasonable and likely? Wtaf did I just watch?
Also you couldn't think of more Cloud type moves when Weather Ball, Mist Ball, Mist, and Haze exist?
The reason Solgaleo is Psychic type is because it was once believed psychic powers were connected to the sun
"A dead body being possessed by their own ghost."
That sounds like being alive with extra steps.
I feel like a lot of these types are just repeats of existing types. The cloud type is just flying, the undead type is just ghost, and the wood type is just grass. Also the light type is just fairy or electric. Fission is pretty good, though.
Why ain't nobody talking about the fakemon designs in this video? They're awesome and I love them ^^
thats make sence because when necrozma become light form i thought light type already exist
For the digital type, you said that of existing pokémon you could only think of missingno and the porygon line. Have you thought of genesect ? ;)
