After watching this show's reruns when I was a little kid, I think this is the first time I heard the term witch used to refer to a man. I believe in all other times they used the term warlock. 😀
Elizabeth Taylor would come to mind for me when I think most Beautiful, I think She WAS Lovely & she had an inner beauty as well that you See; which might be even Better.
I can't believe he called a superior's wife "baby" as though she were his baby! The script certainly didn't match the times...it's as though they were writing scripts for the 50s or earlier!
He was under the influence of Samantha's spell! He was being totally unfiltered, so it shows you how little regard he had for her and Darrin, whereas in the beginning of the scene he is all formal and "respectful."
@@tastx3142 I don’t doubt that, but in this episode his character was totally different when not under Samantha’s spell. He was very formal and would never have been so familiar.
@@rykens I agree that the change in behavior occurred when he was under a spell, but that occurred frequently even in the 1980’s, not so often in the 1990’s. My response was to the original poster who stated that the script was written as if the character was talking as if he was the 1950’s.
@@scotthannan8669 I'm very much aware of the different sensibilities from then to now. Lots of shows then had fist fights just to add to the drama and action. However, there are superior ways to address matters of honor. One lessens his own character if his initial response is violence.
@@redgodofwar7723 This was a character who had gotten away with being scummy for years and had undermined and manipulated Darren and his company as well. I’d say the negativity inflicted on the world by this person far outweighs the quick punch in the nose and the reminder that if you mess with the wrong people you could end up getting severely hurt. I’m not sure that violence always begets more violence, especially if it serves as a wake up call for the person who clearly has become insensitive to every other remedy.
@@redgodofwar7723 There are some scenes in Mr. Smith goes to Washington where the press has published some stories that ridicule the junior senator and the junior senator goes around finding these newsmen and punching them for being disingenuous with him. I agree. She was incredibly beautiful and when you think of it an awesome actress. She was far ahead of her time in my humble opinion.
Love seeing these quaint early 60’s fashions during the 1st couple seasons.
I agree! Seasons 3-4 included.
Me too.
Darren popping in to say " a slip of the lip can sink a ship. Pow " 🤜🏼 😂😂😂

Elizabeth Montgomery was the most beautiful woman ever to grace a TV show

I remember seeing every single episode of Bewitched since I was much younger and boy did I enjoy watching it very much.
Happy New Years to all and may this year be the very best one for all.

Mr. Whitsett (Jonathan Daly) could be the model for Austin Powers here. Yeah Baby!
I hope the punch didn't cause Mr. York to experience discomfort.

I think this is a very early episode (colorized here) and they were still working out their terminology.
This is based on Slow Joe Biden.
@@RLucas3000 I wish they continued to refer to male witches as witches, I really don't like the term warlock and it actually means "oath breaker"

No one could throw a hex, or cast a spell, like Samantha
She was magic.
Very good episode.
I have my volume at max. The volume is too low on each of these videos.
The assistance reminds me of a Mormon.
Man, Samantha can use magic to put a truth serum into that guy to unveil his secrets
I love my assistants and medical economic is good quality for me and the public. Thanks
He may think he is succeeding, but obviously he never made enough money to fix his overbite.
The shade of it all! 😂
That is a very creepy character.
Reminds me of a politically appointed shit I knew. He pretended to be religious while he was stealing money.
yes he couldn't seem to separate his top set of teeth from the bottom when he talked - lying through his teeth I guess

Men were very patronizing during that era, maybe you just weren’t exposed to it much in your job or field.

Damn, Darrin actually committed an assault; while the assistant only acted unethically.
It was the 60s. Men were expected to act with honor, and if they didn’t, they were expected to receive their comeuppance - a swift punch in the nose.
