    Why do they call it the WORLD SERIES? THE WORLD CHAMPION?

    • @littledragon2007
      @littledragon2007 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Because before MLB started signing foreign players, Americans were the best players in the world. Now, teams are made up of great players from all over the world plus Americans. The WBC is the true "world championship", because teams from different countries compete to see who is the best. The World Series, on the other hand, is nothing more than rich owners playing with their monopoly money to see who can buy the best players. Instead of being called the "World Series", it should be called "MLB Championship".

Shohei hit home-run,and the ball landed his own pictured advertisement board at the end of the Tokyo Dome in this WBC. It reminds me Tiger's masters. The putting ball was about to falling to the hole, but it looked about to stop. But! The ball started to fall into the holel showing off its NIKE sign on it. It was great moment! Kind of like that!

    It’s funny, everyone is talking about a huge pay day for him with the top offer winning but I’m not so sure . If you look at his history he left $198 million on the table to leave Japan to play in America. His mum put him on pocket money to live on, think it was like $4000.00 a month of which he only spent $1,000 per month while he was already earning millions. I just think his motivations are not monetary, he loves the game and a team that can offer him the best baseball experience might just land him at half the price being talked about. If anything a lot more teams in the league might have a better chance to get him if they can come up with the right Baseball first proposal.

    People say that the story would have been good either way. Whether Mike or Ohtani won. Cus Mike at the bottom of the 9th with 2 outs was the classic scenario that would have been amazing to turn around. But Mike has already been sealed as the GOAT before Ohtani. Ohtani in his position with Japan on his back was a bigger of an underdog story. And the pay off wouldn't have been better if Mike had won. It would have been a great story but not a legendary story.
