Quest for Glory 1-5 is an action adventure, puzzle game rarely talked about. Nobody really knows about the Quest for Glory franchise since it was developed by Sierra Online back in 1989 to 1998 before Sierra Online closed its doors in 1999. I hope Quest for Glory gets a reboot or at least a sequel like Quest for Glory 6 which I hope happens soon.
Loved Dragon View. Good dungeon and enemy design, though the final boss is an insane difficulty spike. What I found amusing was that the game narrates its own dialogue, describing the way a character is speaking to you.
It's nice to see Drone Tactics on here. Love that game. I do want to add onto Stella Glow though, as writing it off as a 'sexy lolis' rpg is a bit unfair. For anyone who liked Luminous Arc, you'll be right at home with the game as it was meant to be a spiritual sucessor of sorts. Additionally, the witches and the way you interact with them is very Ar Tonelico and I'd recommend anyone who liked Ar Tonelico's story play this game. The characters all have fantastic personalities with some interesting character development and the story itself, while cliche, is no slouch either. Overall I'd say 9/10 it was one of very few games that got me to both care about the characters as well as go into new game the second the credits finished.
I love Stella Glow story, I especially cry like a baby at the scene where Elmar is angry at Archibald pathetic state as he said "then what is that body for, if you don't want to fight then give it to me, I fight them myself" sadly the company has now started the mobile game only nowadays, sigh...
I thought Dragon Force was a Japan only game and now seeing that there's English version I must go out my way to play it. hey Erick you should a let's play of Dragon Force in the near future.

I happened to be quick enough to grab a physical copy of Ray Gigant. It's been on my backlog since I got it, tho. This reminds me that I must get to it soon (maybe after Tales of Arise, then Mary Skelter: Finale. My backlog is years long, and I'm home on disability. But my collection is rather large and games keep coming out. I go from new school, to old school, re-play an old game from years ago, etc. One of these days...
It makes me wonder how many copies of Drone Tactics actually sold. I mean, how many people on the planet not only heard about that game but forked over day 1 money for it? A rare, seemingly low print tactical game incorporating bugs by ATLUS? I wish we had access to company sales numbers especially for some of these minorly known titles, would be very interesting to see what true performance was. Lots of good stuff in this video. Ray Gigant is one I really wish I had gotten sooner.
I love Okage personally, I own 2 copies for PS2. But I understand why its overlooked, the early game is somewhat difficult, due to its outdated mechanics even for it's time like having the main character die causes a game over. The humor is great but it can't carry the game unless you are really invested personally. Long load times, bare bones equipment and skills, I honestly recommend just watching a let's play over buying it yourself to try out.
What game is the footage from 0:16 from? I recall seeing it featured on the channel before but I don't remember the title and it wasn't on the list (unless I'm blind).
asterisk war game is fucking expensive i bought the japanese version was much cheaper but its hard to actually enjoy the game since i have to translate every single word with apps
They should port Lunar Knight to the switch! Off topic, I've been playing Soul of the Samurai on PS1 and it's so damm good. It's capture the aspects of a samurai, so much so that I wish Ghost of Tsushima would of took a few ideas from this game, but it did do a couple of things right. The game predates Onimusha, now that's crazy!
for long time i cant move on in xenogear and i found game with similiar xenogear but looks like gundam that is ms saga i love it adventure with machine robot like nostalgic xenogear again 😊🙏
I hate Gurumin: A monsterous adventure, becuase of its cliches and SPOILERS if you care: *One of the monsters ("Plant Boy") disguises as a Phantom "Prince" is an evil jerk because he wanted to commit personal eye for an eye (as people destroyed his forest home) and Parin just forgives him. I dislike the idea that "only children can see monsters" in that game.

Played and beat Okage, Stella Glow and MS Saga with the last one being incredibly hard in the late game.
Played most of these and really enjoyed them, especially Garumin and Wizardry. Glad to see a list of some very unique games!

Good god I remember playing Lunar Knights when I was little and I loved the hell out of it It also indirectly introduced me to Bram Stoker.
