yeah so thaumcraft treasure bags have a bug where if you ever enter any inventory, it resets the rng back to the first bag pool. meaning you need to do bulk bag opening to get actually varied drops. haven't watched the video yet but saw this comment, and I'm assuming this is what you're referring to. (also side note in advance: use basic bee bags and literally reload your backups until you get a simmering comb reward, way quicker and less frustrating than either the impossibly low chance of a villager trade or the annoyance of going into bee breeding this early)
@@PlayfulPiano that's what you sign up for when taking a pack like GTNH that's already very grindy, and put it in a skyblock. Using backup cheese to lessen something that can be done with legitimate mechanics really defeats the purpose. And once you open that door, you can't really close it again. Would you then suggest backup cheesing any lootbag rewards later? Or for chance outputs when processing rare materials?
@@lazorati4496 Most ppl in the gog discord specifically recommend doing that because the means to get a simmering comb is otherwise egregiously difficult/timetaking.

I can't wait to see your face once you see the size of the greatwood trees. To grow, they do need a 2x2 region of dirt, but only one sapling is necessary (unlike vanilla 2x2 trees). They usually do take a very long time to grow, but are very much worth it.
He does not even KNOW how lucky the mana bean is. I'd be so amused to see him with a mana bean farm, and using them instead of torches everywhere. Having unlimited amounts of every possible thaumcraft element would be SO broken.
You might be obstructing the blocks the Greatwood tree needs to grow on. From memory its a single sapling that turns into a 2x2 tree base. Love these series! Ive been trying to get into actually completing modpacks and this is a huge insperation! Even started a recording the other day! Not sure where i would upload it though. Working on Scicraft right now :V
I think you're confusing them for a different tree. Thaumcraft Greatwood trees are about 2 stacks of logs maximum, even if their branches are a little obnoxious to fully chop down. The trees that are silly in size are the Sacred Oak, the Redwood (the Natura one, the BoP one is large, yet manageable), and the Rainforest Oak. Of those, the only ones I'd be wary about are the Sacred Oak and Natura's Redwood, since the rainforest oak is the most well-behaved tree I've ever seen; it only ever goes straight up with no branches.
But yha, these Peck trades show why folks encouraged a peck farm in the twilight forest, you were so close last series to getting to .. the point your at in your second episode... nevermind.....
Recording off camera hmm? 🤔 Considering how many dirt creepers you lost waiting to charge them, wouldn't it be better to just utilise them as soon as you get them? Bird in the hand kinda thing... Greatwoods can grow from a single sapling; you can get a lot more trees if you spread them out.
I've always disliked the mod(s) that punish you from eating the same foods, especially ones that make them give you less food, like that doesn't make any sense, a steak that is 400 calories will ALWAYS be 400 calories even if it is the 5th steak you've had.
It's not supposed to be an easy modpack, and food variety is really easy. baked potato's aren't the only food in the game. Gotta make a couple different dishes
@@blackcatthegreat182 I know it isn't easy, heck it is a gregtech pack xD Just wanted to send my opinion. I honestly like the cake edition of Spice of life, giving you temp bonuses for diversifying rather than negatives.
@@syberfang7890 The way this modpack does the eat different foods seems to be both the negative and positive reinforcements. You don't even gotta eat that many different types of foods it seems. Killing that chicken might have been a bad play, it’d produce eggs, unless Greg devs ruined that, which is likely, but you could make more with eggs.
It's actually the other way around. In vanilla MC chickens spawned from chicken jockeys don't lay eggs.

just found your part 1 yesterday and were a bit sad there wasnt a part 2, you just made my day
the native clusters actually triple in tinkers smeltery but lead and silver can only be smelted or macerated the normal way
So, Garden of Grind is the answer to.... "What would happen if we throw immortal/regenerating engineer into the void?"
Since you are doing a limited deaths challenge, can we get a death counter on screen when they happen?
Funnily enough I thought of this idea too, but not for the starting parts for obvious reasons
:D
Hope this upload schedule stays the same, always looking forward to the next one
Reading through the pech barter tables it's possible to get gold apples from him

greatwood grow from a single sappling, you don't need a 2x2 of sapplings.

No, but you get like between 10x/14x stacks of dirt instead of just around a stack and a half.

Mob cramming was added in a later version.

Pretty much yea…
