My favorite Amy Grant song. Absolutely beautiful, and she still does it magnificently. The story of how she came to (re)write those lyrics is so interesting.
She actually had a pretty large cyst in her throat that she had to have removed a month or so later. It was benign, but invasive; it even affected her swallowing. Apparently it had been there for a long time, but started to grow very rapidly after her summer 2022 bicycle accident
She sounds beautiful to me! Everyone is a music critic today! A beautiful rendition of any song is more than hitting the notes. It’s the emotion and the message that the singer emotes…..
@@DAVEJJR while I don't think this song performance at her Ryman Christmas show was effortless for her, I agree it's still a good, hearfelt performance. Despite her getting older and navigating various health challenges that can affect the voice, Amy still has a distinctive tone and sense of phrasing that captures and communicates emotion in a way that sets her apart from other singers.
Still in fine voice after all these years. I’m going to have to stop leaving these onions on my lap.
Her voice....it feels like a blessing that embraces us. We love you Amy Grant! Thank God you're well!
Love this song
My wife and I were in attendence on the evening of the 17th. What a great evening!!!

It sounds like she is struggling to hit the notes.
