Gilligan lives in a privately owned stable in Eagleville, Tennessee. He was going to possibly be sold this Saturday. Once I found out I could not let that happen. As a spoof on the motion picture Whiplash, director Eric Hilger criticizes Dean McCoy's tempo. Dean responds by breaking into a drum solo, and then plays the Whiplash chart. Event was Father's Follies at South Pasadena Middle School on March 3, 2017. Eric teaches Language Arts and Dean teaches Math at the Middle School.
My favorite Amy Grant song. Absolutely beautiful, and she still does it magnificently. The story of how she came to (re)write those lyrics is so interesting.
Voice sounds different as shes aged. Good but different sounding. Beautiful 🎵 and song.

It sounds like she is struggling to hit the notes.
She actually had a pretty large cyst in her throat that she had to have removed a month or so later. It was benign, but invasive; it even affected her swallowing. Apparently it had been there for a long time, but started to grow very rapidly after her summer 2022 bicycle accident

@@DAVEJJR while I don't think this song performance at her Ryman Christmas show was effortless for her, I agree it's still a good, hearfelt performance. Despite her getting older and navigating various health challenges that can affect the voice, Amy still has a distinctive tone and sense of phrasing that captures and communicates emotion in a way that sets her apart from other singers.

At least no more faux snowballs were thrown all over the stage. Seriously, though, this was a great song. “Grown-Up Christmas List” was covered effortlessly by Amy Grant who is still in fine voice after all these years and by Vince Gill who can still wrap his buttery tenor around the words of any song, then and now.
Oh how I have always loved this song, my dear Amy and Vince. I am a Veteran and sing with the basement band and we lost 6 members in 2022. I just needed a lift of nostalgia from two of the best to remember why we sing.

Not sure what David Foster's faith commitments are, but he hasn't made them central to his public persona. He's the composer. Grant is an interpreter

I am so proud of what Maria is accomplishing in her guitar playing. I am impressed by her use of lesson recordings to motivate her to learn new songs. She has this knack for taking a plain chord sheet and authentically producing the song's original feel and rhythmic nuances.
