Just some clarification for people in the comments that apparently don't understand what's happening with Lily May and Dunlingr. Lily May's ult provides her with a passive that triggers her ult block. She starts a fight with that passive active already. That passive triggering is not considered an ult. I think this is a terrible loophole and believe that she should work like Eironn where she is triggering a free ult at the beginning to give her the passive. However, Niru behaves the same way as Lily May; he will give a target the undying buff even with Dunlingr using Spellbind. You can use Niru to bait out Lily May's passive charge allowing Dunlingr's Spellbind to shutdown a future activation and give Dunlingr's protected ally a clean shot at using their ult; plus Supreme+ Niru can bring a heal block for some interesting strategies. Personally, I believe the biggest issue in Arena is Map 3. That needs to go. It prevents a lot of counterplay and actually invalidates entire hero kits by itself. It makes heroes like Lily May seem completely broken when she actually has counters within the roster lineup. On my server almost everyone in Champion uses Map 3 with Lily May, Thoran, Damian, Hewynn, and Scarlita. Based on what I can tell from watching peoples' videos, no ones server has that issue. These maps you're showing, DBZeni, I've NEVER seen anyone run in months. Man, I would give anything to have SOMEONE run a different map than Map 3, lol.
Everything you said above is a fact up to the Niru statement. As for the maps I have a few matches fighting Lily May on map 3, it didn't matter. Celestial spear wipes most of the enemy including lily may since it is a global attack. The only people on my server using Map 3 are a few guys ranked 6-10. Are you having issues attacking enemies on map 3 with this same team?
lol facts. every afk journey youtubers arena top rankers have such weird setups that are def not meta. a lot of comps that i see on youtube do not counter the Map 3 with Lily May, Thoran, Damian, Hewynn, and Scarlita cambo.
@@DBZeni So I've seen you murder Lily May in Map 3; first video I ever saw on the topic actually. But the difference is that I've never seen anyone playing against the positioning I always face. The issue I run into is when Lily is placed at the far back corner. I took the comp into one guy where his Lily was in the two spaces by the wall and Dionel focused her hard then completely destroyed the team. But in the match up where she's placed in that side pocket just behind those two spots, Dionel doesn't focus on her nearly as well, the fight stalls out, and their Scarlita cleans up. The only comp I've found that beats it is an exact mirror match; and the RNG caveat is whether or not my Scarlita or Lily get their ult countered by their Lily. I win if my Lily is countered, but lose if my Scarlita is; and the diff is whether or not my Lily drops out of invul a second after my Scarlita hits the ground and tries to use her ult or not, lol. It's a hell of a dice roll to watch. My Dunglingr is S+(10), Dionel is S+(25), Scarlita is S(15), Damian is P1(6). My Lily May is P1(25) and Thoran is S+(8).
@KaijuAdobo I am not sure how that applies to every youtuber. We don't choose the maps for the opponents lol. I attacked the others top 2-5. If they were teammates, I didn't attack them, obviously. I did not know map 3 was this big of an issue. I'll have a teamate use that defense and see how it goes.

Nice showcase! Eventually they will introduce units that will provide AOE shielding to the entire team as a skill (not ultimate) & that will be the ultimate counter to Dunlingr's schtick. This is my prediction & I have a strong feeling that Sonja just might be the first character to have such a shielding ability on her EX weapon. Dunlingr prevents ultimates or healing on both ends which means that the enemy can exploit that to his/her advantage as well. He is really strong at a glance, specially considering most people don't even know what to do against him right now but is a double edged sword in the long run. That said, I love my Dionel - he is an absolute unit. I have a P3 Talene, P2 Dionel and a P2 Scarlita, Dionel was my first celestial ever.
Clemency allows your farthest character to not be affected by his Bell. Your opponent doesnt get that. I think right now theres no answer to him offensively. Defensively im still working on a team. When i ran him with Dio as my defense they would just use 3 assassins on my Dio and i lose. Yes Dio is the GOAT Celestial.
@@DBZeni Yup! Clemency is what makes him pretty much tailor made for Dionel. Its good to know that using multiple assassins can work vs the Dunlingr/Dio team on defense. Here's a fun fact: Lily May can interrupt Dionel's (or anyone's) ultimate even when Dunlingr uses his global AOE prevention because she has invincibility frames as she uses her own ultimate to interrupt (I have tested this myself). Dionel is the only unit that has a chance of killing Lily May with his normal attacks but with a bit of positioning that can be avoided as well.
Clickbait. The reason people don't run Chippy on their teams is because we have collectively agreed not to in order to make the meta more interesting. Chippy hard carried you in the replays and that nulls any competition and voids any point you're trying to make.
Depends on what you want to focus on. If you are mainly focusing on Pvp i would do dio first. IMO he is the best hyper carry in the game. Just know you will probably need to invest in Dunlingr as well.

@MrUuuuu123 if you aren't struggling in pve I would wait for the new hypo to be announced. Talene is really strong this season but not a must have. Phraesto will be better in dream realm down the season but for now isn't a must either. I'd save up.

@@sunnyrainy111 Well thats not what he wrote lol. I said it in the video that she can still ult in the beginning of the match, but it did not matter because Dio still kills her. Also you can run your own Lily May in the Flex spot, so she doesnt "fuck this team up" like he said.

I wish Dunlinger's spellbind could counter LM's interruption so that he can be used elsewhere outside the D-D team because in D-D team Dionel will obliterate LM with ease but in any other teams LM is somewhat unkillable until late battle which rendered Dunlinger quite useless because his bell will wear off eventually and he is not that tanky compared to Phraesto and Thoran.

@@RaidenKhan Yea I have had zero issues going against lily may, My dio Destroys her. Also we can use Lily may as well in the flex spot.
