Eironn+arden+caro+ulmus+flex spot (rowan, damian/hewynn if you want healing or phraesto for more tankiness) is one of the most popular teams and the best when it comes to cc. A mauler team can include koko, odie, smokey, phraesto and rowan

I’m noticing that there’s kind of a range some of these character formations work in reference to the records shown. You either have to be low enough to not increase the energy of the enemy too fast or high enough that it doesn’t matter. I sometimes have to swap my artifact to make some things I see in the records work if I’m 5-15 levels over the record’s lineup.
its really annoying how insane of a disadvantage i have just because my ulmus is not built. im literally 250 stages behind some people while playing very actively. thanks anyways for the video :D
this list is based on the most efficient characters, where your formation power is around 4x less the enemy. im on stage 660 and there's only a few times brutas was usable. florabella and cecia too. lily may definitely not good but many characters like her become usable if your formation power is closer to the enemies. temesia is also great she would be #11 and lumont maybe #12 if this list went on

I think a list of the top AFK comps & formations for them instead would’ve been more helpful imo

The formations usually change/shift with each stage. You don't use the exact formation for each one.

I had good luck with Phraesto, Hewynn, Lilly may, ludavic, damian. Lots of healing. Might need to slot more damage after a while.
Would love to see a video on normal arena defense comps. Or a video on how to plan offensive comps (common counters, etc.)
