Love your site as usual, always some interesting diesel or lines !! I always check out your videos (so many) when I got nothing to do. : ) Btw I'm the guy in NH that has posted a few times about "Alco Land" in PA/NY especially the D-L in Scranton. Well my comment here, I'm always amazed how many shortline have bad or unimaginative paint liveries for their diesels !!! I mean this one Burgundy & white pattern w/ white V slashes everywhere ?? Looks like there little daughter (if they have one) made it up !! Lol But really think up so many "Classic" looking 1950-60's two or three tone paint livery ! : ) Odd the engineer like to run these this way with his head turned instead of the long hood forward like most switchers ? Well that's my rant Lol
at the Pacific Southwest Railway Museum in Campo, Ca, we are currently almost done doing an engine overhaul M&ET #613 (Formerly SP 5119). The loco will later be repainted in SP Tiger Stripes and be used for special events.
I'm a resident of Santa Maria, California; I was down at Campo in December for my 16th Birthday, and I was able to go see the Railbus in it's corner waiting to be finished. On the way, I saw 613 hooked up to the 80 tonner. We have to visit again, but it takes nearly an entire day to get there. We are members, and have plans to volunteer(My family and I).
+Satchel Hogan if you ever come on down, please don't hesitate to let me know. I'll be happy to show you around. mowforeman@gmail.com is my museum email
Bring back the GE 70 Tonners. Eco-friendly gensets are a real bore created by todays yuppies who are a very boring bunch of people. They are a bunch of sissies who are scared of a little petroleum diesel smoke.
At the time of this video they were only using pairs. These old beasts have since been replaced with genset units partially funded by the state as part of a program to lower emissions. I don't know if the new units are used in pairs or not.

Hell yeah! While their at it, QUIT SCRAPPING SMVRR'S 70 TONNERS WE SEND Y'ALL; We only have 2 left...
Amen to that
Great video. Does anyone know if MET would use single loco's or are they always hooked to double or triple loco's?

They most likely ran in paid or sets because the Only cooper Bessimer diesel engines were of lower HP, about 500 each engine.
What horn is that?
I think they are Nathan M5 with some of the bells not working.
1st is k5la 2nd is m5
