You could tell the owner of the clean stock Camaro definitely took care of his car well, thought it had super low miles like, maybe between 15-60k miles
At 9:00, that 2010 L99 auto made exactly what it should. They’re rated 395 hp crank vs the LS3 manuals rated at 426 hp. . 17-18% losses. That old 6 spd auto not as efficient as the 2016-18’ 8 spd and get this, that old 8 spd is more efficient than the 10 spd and makes the car quicker.
Great video man Was wondering if you guys can do a vid on the difference between a hiram vs msd not sure which route to go on my c7 all I have is long tubes and cai on E
Thinking about getting this for my 2016 2ss is the It2 worth it I'm hearing some people say u loose power get the msd intake but the It2 just a lot cheaper i think if u do other mods with the intake it's not bad
With the multiple Heads Cam 6th Gens we've done you would expect to see a difference when compared to any of them, there wasn't. The stock LT MSDs flow great.
The Car with the Ported MSD possibly needs more fuel b/c slightly more air(depending on how deeply ported it is)is being pushed through it. Am I anywhere close to a correct answer? So does the Ported MSD car need bigger fuel rails?
@@matthewmohri9990 the best flowing intake in the world wouldn’t run that out of fuel system . The conclusion is that the msd intake comes optimized from msd so you can’t make it flow much better .
Steve, really like the intro of what's to come👍😎 Btw, the word I think you meant to say was deduce not deduct🙃 But, we understood what you meant Sherlock😏lol
So the car has headers with full exhaust, cam setup, fuel injector upgrades, bigger throttle body, ported msd intake manifold, rotofab cai, flex fuel tune! Is that all? Any forged internal upgrades?
“Although both deduce and deduct are related to the noun deduction, they mean different things. Deduce means 'conclude through reasoning', while deduct means 'take away'.” I wonder if wearing your hat like this causes vocabulary issues?
That pro charger has some terrible design issues. Like putting the air filter right above the heat source, heat soak has to be pretty bad. Also, the 100* degree curved air intakes on these newer cars is terrible. For every 35-45 degrees of curved tube, you reduce flow by 14-18%. I’ve had my share of Camaros, 2006 LS2 GTO’s. Those curved air intakes make almost zero hp, yes almost zero. Not worth upgrading. Dyno’d far to many of these with every air intake upgrade out there and none made any real hp to write home about, only around 5 or 6 hp. And with the hood Wilde open those numbers are typically over inflated by 50-60%. I will never dyno a car hood open anymore. It’s not realistic to on-road, open hood is perfect for parking lot meets and nothing more. You don’t drive with the hood wide open, so don’t dyno that way. Opening the hood and putting fans on the intake and letting the natural heat under the hood just escape is cheating reality. Put the high flow fans in front of the grille, close the hood. Vary the fan speed from low at idle to very high during a dyno run. The results will be much more realistic and reliable, especially for actual “driving” vs parked at a meet-up.
You can thank companies like 'MBRP' for the crack down on aftermarket modifications. Mods that enhance performance and sound, while remaining legal, are fine! But that exhaust is nonsense. p.s. I understand wanting a better sound from your V8, I had a Holden VE SSV with a Walkinshaw exhaust. Nice rumble, but not obnoxious.
MSD LT1 ported vs non start around 17:00
Wish I had read this comment earlier and saved 16:05 minutes of my life

What do they mean by ported ? What’s the difference between ported and nun ported ? Like what makes it ported
Drill holes in the intake. People think it gives it more air flow/power
I got you on those Carnival Candy Reign's Matt! Next debate, BANG Cotton Candy or REIGN Carnival Candy? Enjoy!!!
carnival candy all day. cotton candy has a bitter taste imo

Can't wait to see what Frans car does this time out. 🇺🇸🇺🇸👍👍
I have a 05 c6. Is it possible to put a 08 transmission in my 05?
Have to swap the diff too. 05 axles will fit.
One of my favorite parts of these videos is hearing you guys rip on these fools for their stupid loud exhausts. 🤣
Awesome video! Great numbers. So it looks like a porting a MSD is a waste of money if it makes 3HP difference than non ported. . Interesting.
They on different cars so I won’t call that apples to apples I guess?

I hope Fran & KP take a camera with them to the track please
I do wonder if the porting was just a bad port job? Some places are charging 300 bucks for porting. The stock line looked better in some spots.
Same, seems every shop with a reputably ported msd makes quite a bit over a non ported.
That’s what I was thinking as well. I hope that’s the case, I’m getting a ported one tomorrow

Is the camera guy the workshop punching bag?
At the point of deciding to port your intake why don’t you just get a better aftermarket manifold
Cars on your dyno face East, should face north. Probably why it reads high.
