Another excellent vid, Jonny and team. Shame Mother Nature denied us of a reaction shot of your face off a 2,800hp launch. Thanks for showcasing what the UK drag racing scene is currently up to. 👍
Not suprisingly seeing as you can put pretty much anything on the road in the UK. This would not be road legal in most countries, including the US :P In e.g. Belgium you aren't even allowed to use non-OEM spec tyres or it will fail the MOT lol
@@BlatentlyFakeName I don’t know about “anything” as if you change much from “factory replacement or equivalent” (but not wheels or tyres thankfully ) the car then needs an individual vehicle approval test which is very difficult to pass (eg: fail if fog lights lens doesn’t have a tiny “F” on it) but if you’ve got 4 wheels and an engine in the US they’ll let you drive anything lol But banning non OEM tyres is extreme! I am so with Mark on the engineering front, while I used to really enjoy competing in Run What ya Brung, Ten of Best, Scooby Challenge etc with my late, lamented, '98 Impreza Turbo, what I enjoyed, even more, was making it competative and doing all the work myself (over 14 years from brand new stock 208 brake to a lazy 500 of each beast), so much so that I used to spend more time running around the pit areas at events helping out all my mates and other randomers than I did actually competing! Genius Jonny, the story of Marks's drag car would have been great on its own, but to bring a DBS and get him to drive it took this video to the next level, plus productions quality (lighting and sound) was top notch. Onwards and upwards buddy!
